Ephesus brings the past to life. This tour combines the ancient city with a visit to a typical ceramics factory for a glimpse into traditional pottery making. First up, you'll relive the glory days of the Roman Empire as you explore the monuments of Ephesus on a guided tour. Gökhan, one of our expert local guides, says "the archaeological site is so well-preserved that it's easy to imagine you are walking in the footsteps of the toga-clad crowds that gathered and chattered in the streets 2,000 years ago."Crammed with temples, relics and religious statues, you'll walk the marble streets as your guide explains their history. A star attraction is the Insta-perfect Library of Celsus – a feat of classical architecture that once housed the brightest scholars of the day and more than 12,000 scrolls of age-old wisdom. Strolling between the column-lined avenues, you'll peep into crumpled shops and houses en route to the Grand Theatre – a colossal amphitheatre where St Paul once preached. There's a museum here, too, which you'll walk through during your visit. It's digital exhibits are designed to help you imagine what life was like in Ephesus during its heyday. We'll round things off with a visit to a ceramics factory to see how Turkish pottery is made. Marvel at the precision of the master potter – working only by eye – as he decorates and paints traditional pieces. It's one of the best places to snap up some authentic souvenirs and support local livelihoods. Gökhan adds "Cini ceramics are a traditional Turkish art form. Sehr zu empfehlen der Ausflug, eine der grössten Ausgrabungen welche wir gesehen haben. Der Guide war aussergewöhnlich mit einem grossen Fachwissen und interessante Einblicken in die Geschichte und den daraus resultierenden möglicherweise stattgefunden Ereignissen. Wer die Möglichkeit hat und sich für die Geschichte interessiert sollte sich diesen Ausflug auf jedem Fall eines der 7 Weltwunder der Antike anschauen.

* La ville d'Ephèse est magnifique et envoûtante. * Quel dommage que l'on ne nous ait pas prévenu que c'est le lundi matin qu'il y a le plus de touristes (des maxi-paquerbots) * Le Pottery-making a perdu de son charme avec les années et ne ressemble plus qu'à une usine pour touristes.

1. TUI Reiseleitung vor Ort im Hotel: uns wurde nicht gesagt, dass die 24 km bis Ephesos 90 Min Fahrt dauert. Ohne Toilette. Es wurde gesagt, dass wir mittags wieder im Hotel seien. Daher hatten wir keinen Proviant dabei. Daher kein Mittagessen. 2. Guide: er stellte sich nicht vor; optisch nicht als Guide erkennbar; sehr schlecht zu verstehen; engl Guide deutlich mehr Infos. Wir sind erbost, dass wir länger im Bus als vor Ort waren!!! Sehr viel Geld f. schlechte Leistung. 6 Personen 513 €!

Zu grosse Gruppe, Guide sehr nett und informativ, aber wegen dem Gedränge kaum zu verstehen. Leider war im Eintritt auch nicht alles Sehenswertes in Ephesus (Octagon bspw.) inkludiert. Stattdessen Verkaufsshow in der Töpferei, was aber okay war da man hier zum nichts gezwungen wurde

Het bezoek aan de oude stad was mooi. Gids sprak Nederlands en voldoende tijd om rond te kijken. Giede indruk met de experience op het laatst. Zeker de moeite waard. De pottenbakker mag er wel uit. Geen toegevoegde waarde. Dat is denk ik meer bij de tour gedaan in de hoop dat er mensen eea kopen bij de pottenbakker, zodat die meer geld in het laatje krijgt. Ik vind het afbreuk doen aan de dag aan Ephesus.

Salle de bain ayant besoin d'un lifting...... Team Marmara sympa et dynamique..... Ponctualité, temps de visite beaucoup trop court( à peine 2h)changement de cars en fonction du guide, passages dans différents hôtels, prix trop élevé vu la visite. Prochaine fois prendre un taxi et faire la visite avec audio guide.

Miejsce robi wrazenie i ma ciekawa historie, ale brak przewodnika w jezyku polskim sprawila, ze czesc informacji nie zrozumialam, nie mówiac juz o mojej rodzinie, która angielskiego nie zna. W autokarze turysci byli z róznych krajów, byl z nami przewodnik nawet mówiacy w jezyku francuskim, ale w polskim brak:( wiec suma jaka zaplacilismy za ta wycieczke byla nieadekwatna to tego jak z niej skorzystalismy.

Die Anreise, erfolgte in einem Reisebus, in dem alles in vier Sprachen erklärt wurde. Gebucht war eine deutsche Führung! Auch durch Ephesus wurde in zwei Sprachen geführt und derGuide leierte seinen Text nurherunter. Leider haben wir weder eine römische Villa besichtigt, noch die kuriosen öffentlichen Toiletten. Sie würden noch nicht einmal erwähnt! Dito, das Abwassersystem! Kannte ich von früher. Dafür eine getarnteVerkaufsveranstaltung (Töpfer), über die wir nicht informiert waren.

Musée de la poterie nul Var 5 minutes se visite et explications puis 330 minutes pour acheter objets hors de prix!Ephese site hyper glissant pendant toute la visite car marbre au sol+explications beaucoup trop longues du guide qui dit beaucoup de bêtises +aller dans car anglais. On a dû changer au milieu du parcours et au retour on est monté dans le mauvais bus.on nous a rien dit . C'est au dernier moment que nous sommes rendus compte et avons de nous même pris le bon.ne vaut pas son prix !!!!

Efeze is zeker de moeite om te bezichtigen en gelukkig hadden we ook nog eens een goeie gids . We zaten wel iets langer dan verwacht in de bus omdat we nog langs 6 andere hotels passeerden . Het potten bakken is mooi om eens te zien maar draaide vooral weer om kopen van ceramiek ?? . Toch blijft het zeker de moeite om deze uitstap te doen .

Magnifique visite avec un guide génial. Nous avons pu visiter le site avec énormément d'anecdotes et surtout d'histoires particulièrement intéressantes et instructives. Attention, bien prévoir des bonnes chaussures car ça glisse beaucoup sur le marbre ! Et prenez de l'eau + chapeau ou casquette ! Visite à faire absolument + musée bien évidemment

Unser Guide war sehr nett und hat uns sehr vieles interessantes über die Geschichte von Ephesus erzählt. Wir hatten immer schöne Schattenplätze und konnten den Erzählungen lauschen. Schön wäre gewesen, wenn wir die Tour nicht in der prallen Mittagshitze gemacht hätten. Die Töpferei hat uns positiv überrascht und wir waren von der Handwerkerskunst beeindruckt, gekauft haben wir aufgrund der Preise allerdings nichts.

Trajet long et fastidieux, ramassage de petit groupe dans différents hôtels, changement de bus sur le bord de la voie rapide pas sécurisé, et au retour attente d'un autre bus en ********** pour récupérer des passagers qui été à la même visite à la même heures que nous. Organisation des déplacements un peu légère. Par contre une guide très intéressant et très gentil, c'est le point positif du voyage.

Ephèse à voir absolument ! Site exceptionnel, guide très professionnel. La fabrication de céramique vaut vraiment le détour. La visite le matin offre l'avantage qu'il ne fait pas trop chaud. Transport professionnel.

Je suis en turquie dans un magasin turque je pense que les prix qui sont indiqués sont en livré turque! et bien non les prix sont en euros. Quel surprise en regardant mon compte bancaire ! Veel te lange info in Duits voordat het in het Nederlands werd uitgelegd. 2 talig is echt niet handig. Verder is de excursie te lang, zonder drinken of lunch en de groep te groot. Wij zijn zelf met taxi van Efeze naar hotel gegaan. Zonde van het geld... Het was ook echt veel te druk in Efeze, waardoor gids moeilijk te verstaan was. Andere gidsen hadden een microfoon en gasten een oortje in. Dat is beter.

It was not made clear that the amphitheatre was not accessible and this is the highlight of a visit to Ephesus. The terrace houses were also not part of this visit. Disliked compulsory visit to pottery place. Their stuff was lovely but I hated being forced to go. Our guide Esra was repetitive, without telling us much interesting about what we were seeing. She also made no secret of being bored. For the extremely high price, this was very poor value for all the reasons above.

Great tour with an excellent guide Ezra. We went with our 7 year old son and it was just long enough for him in the heat. Ephesus is amazing, we didn't realise how big it was and the museum at the end bought it all to life. Didn't feel pressured to buy anything at the Pottery place.

The trip cost £700 for a group of 13 which included 6 children, one under 3 and the rest 10 and under. I feel that we paid a lot for a basic tour of Ephesus. The group for the guide was too big and it was also very busy which detracted from the experience. The pottery tour was unnecessary and we felt that it was just an excuse to try and get us to purchase very expensive pottery. In all this was very poor value for money.

Super site et guide tres competant.Deçu du museum virtual manque vie,histoire baclée.au jour ou on arrive a faire des biopic je trouve dommage de ne pas avoir fait ça avec des comediends ,ils peuvent faire mieux pour nous telephoner dans l'histoire .la fin complete mention baclèe.je pense qu'il y a mieux a faire. Je suis 1 amoureux de la mythologie, je reste sur ma fin. Je reviendrais quand même.

Die Tour durch Ephesus war an sich sehr schön. Statt der Topfervorführung, die in meinen Augen wirklich nicht interessant war und eher als Verkauf der Töpferwaren diente, hätte man bei der Ephesus Tour noch die „Terassen“ hinzumachen können. So dass man wirklich alles sieht. Diese waren leider nicht dabei. Man hätte diese zwar dort in der freien Zeit noch besuchen und ein extra Ticket holen können, dafür war die freie Zeit aber doch eher zu kurz und hätte nicht gereicht.

Orga top, Abholung etc.; der Guide (Dohan) war super, hat sehr viel erzählt und wusste unglaublich viel über die Geschichte von Ephesus und der Türkei. Wir waren als Familie mit 3 Jugendlichen dort und es hat allen super gefallen. Ganz ausdrücklich inkl. des Besuchs in der Töpferei! Achtung bei der Zeitplanung: in der App sind 2-4 Stunden angegeben, gedauert hat fast 6 Stunden, gerechnet Abholung vom und Rückkehr zum Hotel.

Die Tour durch Ephesus war super, leider hat die Zeit nicht ausgereicht, um sich alles genau anzuschauen. Unser Reiseleiter hat alles super erklärt was wir nicht so gut fanden war die Töpfervorführung zum Schluss. Das hätte man sich sparen können. Ansonsten ist dieser Ausflug echt zu empfehlen, mal einen kleinen Eindruck Von Ephesus zu bekommen.

Transfer hat gut funktioniert. Zeit bei den Geschäften vor dem Eintritt war zu lang. Führung okay. Allerdings Lobhudelei auf die Türkei zu ausladend. Experience Museum gut. Die Verkaufsveranstaltung in der Töpferei angesichts des Tourpreises unangemessen! Statt dessen wäre eine kurze Weiterfahrt zum Haus der Maria für Alle von Interesse gewesen. Rücktransfer ebenfalls gut.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la visite de la cité d'Ephèse. Le guide francophone a su rendre l'expérience intéressante malgré la forte chaleur de juillet. La visite comprenait aussi l'exposition immersive. La fabrique de poterie a relativement peu d'intérêt.
