On this tour, you'll depart from Fukuoka, take a 2.5-hour drive to Kamishiromi Kumanoza Shrine, the filming location of the movie 'Into the Forest of Fireflies Light'. Then you'll arrive at Aso Volcano, located in the northeast of Kumamoto Prefecture, Kyushu Island. It is the symbol of Kumamoto and is famous for its composite volcano with a large caldera.Your adventure continues to Kusasenri, which is a vast grassy plain that offers great views of the volcanically active Nakadake Peak. There is also a large pond in Kusasenri where you can also see horses grazing. This scenic location has become a popular feature of the Aso Geopark. Finally, you can experience the Japanese-style open-air bath at Kurokawa Onsen for a rejuvenating experience.

This tour offers multilingual services with a multilingual guide (rather than a single-language guide). As this is a shared tour, there may be other passengers in the same vehicle speaking different languages. Seats are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis

Travel may face traffic delays or early closure of attractions. Routes, order and duration of stays will be adjusted based on daily traffic to improve efficiency. Avoid arranging dinners or tight transportation connections

Access to the crater of the Aso Volcano depends on the day's weather and gas concentration, with opening status subject to official announcements on the day. If an entry ban is issued, the original visit to "Senri Grassland" will be extended to 90 minutes, and the duration of stays at other attractions will be prolonged accordingly. No refunds will be provided

Nude bathing is mandatory at public hot springs. Entry requires small tattoos to be covered with skin-coloured patches. Large tattoos may result in denial of entry

Remember to bring:

Meeting point:

8.00 am at Hakata Station Chikushi Exit Lawson. When you go to the meeting place, look for the guide with a "JRT" flag logo. Arrive at the designated pickup point 20 minutes prior to departure.
