O que esperar
Wyspa Itaka, znana od czasów starożytnych jako ojczyzna Odyseusza, leży u północno-wschodniego wybrzeża Kefalonii. Zwiedzisz stolicę wyspy, Vathi, z jej bajeczną scenerią i portem w kształcie podkowy u podnóża góry Nirito, najwyższego szczytu wyspy. Następnie popłyniesz łodzią do Kioni na północy, mijając klify i sekretne plaże – po drodze zatrzymasz się też na kąpiel, aby się ochłodzić. Itaka została w dużej mierze pominięta przez masową turystykę, więc odwiedzając wyspę Odyseusza, zobaczysz Grecję w jej najczystszej postaci. Opuszczając pokład łodzi w Kioni, znajdziesz się na uroczej małej przystani. Główna część miejscowości jest zbudowana niczym amfiteatr na zboczach wzgórza, a domy ozdobione kwiatami górują nad portem. Następnie udasz się do jeszcze mniejszej przystani we Frikes z tawernami nad brzegiem morza, gdzie będziesz mieć czas wolny na lunch. Przed powrotem na Kefalonię zatrzymasz się w położonej w głębi lądu górskiej miejscowości Stavros z zielonym rynkiem. Wycieczkę poprowadzi przewodnik mówiący w języku POLSKIM.

We enjoyed the trip overall but felt that we could have spent less time at the first stop and an hour or so in Kioni rather than just a walk through. Also the last stop really could have been a lot shorter. We had problems understanding Diamond, not sure if this was due to the sound system but we felt we missed a lot of the commentary. Also, it didn't help that the coach was noisy due to the fact that when we went over a bump the over head roof hatch made a loud bang which was very annoying.

We enjoyed the trip overall, Memi was a fantastic tour guide and Demitrius was a very skilled coach driver, some of the spaces he got the coach through were very tricky. Trip is advertised as 8 hours but from boarding the ferry in the morning to getting back across from Itheka was 9-10 hours (plus travelling times for pick up and drop off). It's a long day. We were disappointed with the size of the boat for 50 people and the length of time we had to swim in the sea. Wouldn't do again

A long but excellent day. Well worth getting up for ! Hotel didn't provide breakfast early enough. A beautiful island and the guide was excellent. We covered a lot but it was relaxed and leisurely and were allowed about the right amount of time at each place.

The island and villages are stunning and beautiful. Everything ran like clockwork and Eleni, our tour guide, was knowledgeable, welcoming and very friendly. The only downside for us was not to spend more time in Kioni, which looked stunning when we walked through it to catch our boat for the swimming part of the trip. A real shame for us

Loved the boat trip, but we thought they said there would be two swim stops, but there was only one. We stopped for lunch, boarded the bus and then stopped again just 10 minutes later for ‘coffee and cake’. Although the last stop was fine, no way did we want coffee and cake after just having lunch.

Thankyou Diamond and Spiros for a fabulous day out . We met Diamond the previous year and were so happy to see it was her taking us to the beautiful island of Ithaca. It’s a long day but so worth it . Spiros is a brilliant driver and diamond an exceptional guide, so knowledgeable . Will book for same trip again next year just because of them ! Ithaca is breathtaking .

Wij vonden de dorpjes waar we met de bus heen gingen erg leuk, mooi eiland, gids heeft veel verteld, goede tips waar te eten. Het varen vonden wij minder, de boot was veel te klein voor het aantal mensen, zaten op en in elkaar. Absoluut niet comfortabel, je kon niet normaal Aan de andere kant van de boot komen om te zwemmen, afdrogen al helemaal niet te doen, geen ruimte om te verkleden. Ik ben ook behoorlijk zeeziek geweest omdat t flink schommelde en te klein was. Gelukkig duurde het niet lang

Awesome trip well worth the early morning get up. We had the most amazing guide in Diamond, who was interesting and knowledgeable, such passion for the island she really made the trip for us. The boat trip and sea swim is also a highlight, overall a great trip. Would recommend.

This is a fantastic day out, our tour guide and driver were brilliant (thank you Eleni and Dimitris). Along the route Eleni would tell us interesting stories and facts about the island, we were never rushed and had plenty of time in Vathi, and for lunch. The boat ride and swim stop was great, everyone got a seat on the boat and the swim was a welcome break from the heat in calm turquoise water

We have done this tour a number of times however each time we something different. Diamond our guide is an amazing character with knowledge that is insurmountable. Spiros the driver kept us safe and managed to drive on roads that probably weren't designed for coaches. We are booking to return next year and as I'm the past 4 years will do the tour again. Diamond makes the very early start worth it. Would highly recommend.

Trip cancelled. Apparently a minimum of 25 participants are required for the trip to run. No idea when the trip last went ahead. TUI might want to think about making the trip cheaper or scaling down transport options. Feeling disappointed and let down.

Way too much time spent at first stop, and the last stop 5 mins after lunch was ridiculous in the heat, with nothing much to see. Guide was quite good, shame she read much of her chat rather than knowing it, and the midway boat ride was great. Our rep rather over sold swim stops.

Diamond our guide was absolutely fantastic. 5 stars! Spiros our driver had superb driving skills and a quiet coolness about him. Ithaca was breathtaking, one of the most beautiful islands I’ve been to and my stress literally melted away. I didn’t want to leave. If I had one slight improvement I’d have wanted 40 mins in the water instead of 30 but that’s pretty minor!

The whole day was great from start to finish. Seeing small villages and experiencing local delicacies as well as having a bit of free time to do whatever you wanted to. Loved the swim off the boat. Eleni made the tour come alive and Dimitri, the driver, was a master! He got a round of applause at one stage from the whole bus for getting round a corner where someone had parked, leaving mere centimetres between the coach and the car! There was nothing we did not enjoy.

Great driver and guide. Ferry was good. I felt the traditional boat for the swim stop trip was too small. We were all squashed up with hardly any where to put your feet. No facilities to buy drinks or snacks. The boat helper trod on the lady opposite and myself to get out swimming aids. Larger boat was needed.

We lived the tour, however the hour ‘free time’ in the same place as we had free time earlier in the day was not needed. The shops that had been open earlier in the day were then shut. The swimming stop was too short and should have been at least 45 mins instead of the unnecesssry free time at the end. Our guide Diamond was superb. Cannot praise her enough for a brilliant commentary

First of all the tour took 12hrs not 8hrs. The coach arrived at 6:50 for a 7:10 pickup, lucky enough we were early. The stop at Stavros just to eat cake /drink coffee seemed pointless when heading straight to Frikes for lunch. The Lunch stop would have been better at Kioni which seemed a much more prettier place than Frikes. Diamond although very knowledgeable about Ithaki was more interested in chatting to the local Greeks and the coach driver rather than interacting with the tour group.

This is a wonderful country to visit, but we did the top half of the country, but it would be nice to have seen the rest, TUI perhaps you could arrange excursions to the see the the rest of the Ireland.

A great day out. Very knowledgable guide Diamond who organised the day carefully. Extremely skilful coach driver Spiros. Disappointing that we couldn’t swim during the boat trip but the local crew knew the wind was increasing and we accepted their need to prioritise safety. Coach journey to Sami gave a wonderful opportunity to see the countryside. I would not personally recommend the rice and honey cakes - felt like a bit of a rip off for tourists.

This was a really excellent trip. The journeys were broken up by doing 45-60 minutes on the coach and then a 30-40 minute ferry to get over to the island. Then the amount of time spent on the coach getting to places was really not long and allowed for a good amount of time exploring at each stop. The boat trip was excellent and the sea swim stop was well-chosen and managed by the staff/crew. If we return to Kefalonia I would happily book this trip again!

De perfecte tour om het prachtige eiland en de geschiedenis ervan te leren kennen. Onze fijne gids had een bron aan kennis die ze op de juiste momenten met de groep wist te delen. De chauffeur was top! Tip: ipv net iets te lang vrije in de dorpjes had ik liever de opgravingen van het paleis van Odyseus willen bezoeken.

Doing this trip is a must... Ithaca must be the prettiest of all the greek islands. Diamond was the most knowledgeable guide and her recommendation of where to go for lunch (Ageri in Frikes) was spot on. Best cooked squid we have ever tasted. Perhaps make this like the Premier tour and include tea, cake, lunch etc. And make the gap between elevenses and lunch slightly bigger!

The island itself is lovely, the guide highly recommended where to eat or have coffee. She gave a good precee of The Odyssey and briefly mentioned the artifacts found in the bay from whence Odysseus had apparently sailed. A different guide on a different trip told us more about the history of that bay.

Leuk: ferry, busreis naar Vathu, tijd voor koffie in Vathu (eigelijk te lang)., boot/zwemmen (had langer gemogen) Minder: "verplicht eten" in Frikes Port. Niets anders te doen als je iets anders zou willen. "Aanbeveling" van gids is beschamend (provisie?): "bij de ander is ********** vastgesteld". Na een reis van enkele minuten weer een (te lange) in Stavros voor koffie en cake. Samengevat: na de bootreis wordt je uit de bus gegooid om de locale horeca te spekken ??. Obesitasreis!

The trip was fantastic from start to finish. The tour guide, Diamond, had an excellent knowledge of both Kefalonia and Ithaca and her love of the area made the tour more magical. Spiros, our driver, navigated the winding roads superbly. The places visited were stunning and the people very welcoming. A good mix of coach tour, boat trip and walking, with enough free time in each area to make it feel relaxed.

Liked the day trip.. The only thing I would say that was wrong .. the guide told everyone to go to a certain restaurant for lunch , saying it was the best food and to avoid the restaurant with the grey seats as you will get food poisoning if you eat there… But the next coach that arrived must have been told to go to the restaurant with the grey seats… would have cut down time if gone to different places to eat.

I have done this tour a few times now, always with Tui. I have some points of improvement. The majority of people on these trips have always been older, and some less mobile. I cannot understand why the trip always stops in Frikes for lunch? It is ok, but certainly nowhere near as pretty as the little harbour village where you catch the boat from. Why not stop there for lunch, giving people an improved experience of mooching to the boat after lunch instead of rushing on a long walk in heat?

It was an amazing experience. Enjoyed it all but especially the guide Diamond and the incredible driver (George?). Diamond knew Ithaka and her passion shone through - best guide I have ever come across - knowledgable and with a sense of humour. The scenery was jaw dropping. Highly recommended.

We loved it all! It was a long day (13 hours) with an early start (06:30)! The driver and guide (Eleni) were both excellent. The time in each place was perfect. Having ‘noodles’ on the boat for poorer swimmers was brilliant. The boat trip was generally excellent. All great!

We loved the swim in the sea. The tour was good. However I didn’t think it was necessary to have a lunch stop and then stop off again 15 minutes later for a another stop in Stavros.

The whole day was amazing, Ithaca is beautiful so happy we went on this trip although it was an extremely long day, Eleni our guide was brilliant, she was funny and full of knowledge of the island, Dmitry our driver was excellent, extremely very good driver, dealt with several sticky moments but got us through

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Our rep and driver were brilliant. Our rep was so professional, knowledgeable, supportive, friendly and a gosh. Everything ran smoothly and on time. Lovely amount of time at each stop. Air conditioning was great. Can't think of any negatives.

Depending on your starting point an early start with many pick ups BUT worth it. Ithaca is a must see & the car ferry ride took me back to my island hopping days. Excellent restaurant stop for lunch.

Efficient pick up Driver (Dimitri) drove well, felt safe Guide very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Just enough I formation without being overwhelming. Great day all round Negative point, Stavros stop felt unnecessary as museum was closed. Not fault of TUI, but little to do there.

Whole day was fabulous … our guide and driver were fantastic and we got a real view of authentic Greece which we love and leads us to smaller self catering accommodation. Stunning views and beautiful stops a really relaxing day out !!

I loved the whole experience! The island is beautiful, the sea and beaches even more so. The TUI staff were superb, Elena and Dimitrous, sorry for the spelling. The timings were just the right amount of time an all round memorable trip, thank you ??

Was sceptical about the time on coach but it was wonderful to see the scenery on the journey. We loved all the stops in the villages and had a lovely lunch in a restaurant in Fiskas recommended by our rep The rep Diamond lived up to her name she was very good informative and funny. Coach driver Spiro was amazing Loved the old fashioned boat and was a bit cramped with amount of people The trip was advertised as 8 hours but it was 11 hours start to finish Would recommend and did to some guests
