Visit the Pompeii archaeological site with an expert guide and take part in an English language tour for small groups. Find out more about daily life in ancient Rome and retrace the milestones that characterized the last hours of Pompeii.After skip-the-line access to the site, you'll be able to start your adventure. Discover shops, temples, public baths and perfectly preserved houses. Then continue on to visit Porta Marina, the basilica, the temple of Apollo, the Roman Forum and the main street of the city. Wander around the Macellum, a bakery, the cemetery and an old brothel (depending on the age of the group members).

When you arrive at Pompeii Archaeological Park, meet your Walks guide on the right side of the Porta Marina Superiore entrance. Your guide will be holding a green sign. Please note that there are a few different entrances to the Pompeii ruins. If you are coming by train from Naples or Sorrento, you will exit the train station and walk about 50 meters to Porta Marina Superiore. If you are coming by taxi, please ask to be dropped off at the upper entrance rather than the lower ticket turnstiles.

The overall experience was brilliant and we thoroughly enjoyed our day. Our archaeological guide was very knowledgable and made the day more meaningful. Three hours was the right amount of time with a guide.

The woman checking us in was late. The guide was late. Despite being asked to arrive 15 minutes early other attendees were late ( no fault of the tour operator) pushing the start time back even longer. Stood around waiting for guide to acquire entrance tickets for the group. Guide was very good.

This tour was the highlight of our week-long trip to Italy! The ruins are simply incredible and Hilary (in English) is an amazing guide. Her knowledge of the ruins, history, and the archaeology-excavation process made the day such a rich learning experience for us. An easy day trip from Rome.

My family and I loved the Pompei tour! It was so easy .. we took the train right to Pompei, tour company was there right when we got off the train and help us find our tour guide. Tour guide was very knowledgable on Pompei ... it may have been slightly long, 2 hours versus 3 would have been perfect!
