Full-day trip to Essaouira from Agadir

Embark on an unforgettable journey from Agadir to Essaouira, also known as the Portuguese Fortress or Mogador town. This imperial city in Morocco was established by the Portuguese in 1506 and named Castelo Real de Mogador.Essaouira boasts numerous historical sites and monuments waiting to be explored, such as city walls, a Dutch cannon crafted by Adrianus Crans in The Hague in 1744, a Genoese-built citadel by the harbour, ramparts from the Medina, and the harbour scala.Your adventure begins from your hotel or residence in Agadir. You'll head north along the Atlantic coast. A brief stop will be made after approximately 40 minutes to take in the panoramic view of Tamri. On the way, you may spot goats perched high up in the trees, a unique spectacle known as “flying goats” that can only be seen in Essaouira. Your last stop before reaching your final destination will be at the Argan Cooperative.Upon arrival, you'll have a lot of time to explore the historical sites, the Medina, the souk and the old harbour. After soaking up the history, enjoy a lunch break. Then, begin the journey back to Agadir in the afternoon. You can expect to arrive back in the city around early evening.
