Visit the Pont du Gard, the best-preserved Roman aqueduct in Western Europe and the highest Roman aqueduct in the world! Located in the south of France, the Roman aqueduct is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a marvel of ancient engineering.Explore its first level, visit the museum, stop at the cinema to see the most beautiful images of the monument, and enjoy all the relaxation areas in this natural setting (Memories of the Garrigue, the river beaches, picnic areas...) and much more!The Pont du Gard is delighted to announce our brand new temporary exhibition entitled “Under the Pixels, the Matter”, which will be held on site from September 14, 2024 and until January 5, 2025. This exhibition will highlight the work of four talented international artists, each exploring the intersection between digital art and material forms. The exhibition will be open to all, with some works installed outside the interior spaces.

Exhibits showing the route and structures of the whole 50km canal from Uzes to Nimes was highly insightful.
Large scale representations of the Pont du Gard construction methods fascinating.
I highly recommend visiting the museum in its large new building
