What to expect

Explore Santorini while getting fresh Mediterranean air and exercise on an e-bike tour. Get away from the crowds and big buses while pedaling along the coast, past windmills, and through old villages for a glimpse at traditional island life. The battery-powered bike makes it easy to climb any hills and covers plenty of distance without breaking into a sweat.The tour starts from the famous Perissa Black Sand Beach. The first stop will be the Emporio Village where you can discover the Castelli of Emporio (Venetian castle) and admire the old city with beautiful narrow streets and houses. To continue the tour you'll pedal through the wine roads to Megalochori, a traditional village. In Megalochori you can stop for wine tasting at one of the oldest cellar of Santorini , or for a Greek coffee (or juice), at an authentic local place. Further, in the heart of Santorini, you'll enjoy the view of the caldera, the hidden beauty of the island. Towards the end of the tour, you'll follow a different road through the vineyards and pass under the windmills of Emporio. The tour ends at Perissa Black Sand Beach again.

What to remember

For using the e-bikes there is a maximum weight limit of 100 kg (220 pounds) and a minimum height requirement of 150 cm (4.92 feet). Please, be aware of those limits when booking

This tour is suitable for anyone between 14 - 70 years. Important is to know how to ride a regular bicycle. The local supplier only uses electric bikes as they allow you to climb a steep hill without having to exert too much energy. You will mostly travel along off-road paths

Excellent

Lovely morning spent exploring the local area and villages from the enjoyment of the e bike. Pavos was a fantastic and knowledgeable guide, who told us much about each area we stopped at. He was patient and friendly as the group adjusted to using the bikes. I had never ridden an electric bike, so although a little strange to begin with, I soon felt comfy and they made the experience relaxing and very enjoyable. Pavos was very great and I would throughly recommend this experience.

Pavos, our guide, was very knowledgeable and, as well as being an excellent guide, is also a creative photographer! My wife and I were the only people on our trip, which made it even more special. We had a comprehensive introduction to our bikes, including a short test ride, before we set off. We would highly recommend this activity as an excellent way of discovering quieter areas of the island.

Der Guide war sehr um unsere Sicherheit bemüht. Die Straßen waren wenig bis nicht befahren und somit auch für Radfahrer sicher. Die Einweisung ins E- Bike war verständlich und nach einer Proberunde ging es auch schon los. Unsere Fragen wurden beantwortet und man konnte das „alte / traditionelle“ Santorini per Fahrrad erkunden. Absolut empfehlenswert und auch nicht zu anstrengend durch das E-Bike

Alex was our guide and he took fantastic care of us throughout the excursion. Very knowledgeable and very attentive to our every need. We had a small party, just 4 of us, truly amazing experience. Learnt lots of Information Alex busted some myths too. Highly recommended (my 1st time on an ebike too)

We had a great guide .. friendly and knowledgable and took us to lots of places you wouldn’t normally experience under your own steam. Gave us lots of info about the island and its history . We had a lovely pitstop for refreshments and local wine tasting and a fabulous photo opportunity overlooking the caldera. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend.

fijn om de kleine dorpjes binnen te fietsen. Door soms smalle wegen is het handig als je enige ervaring hebt op de fiets. De gids stopt ook regelmatig om foto's te nemen en extra uitleg te geven.

Podobal nam sie transfer z i do hotelu, przewodnik mial duza wiedze, znal dobrze trase i dbal o nasze bezpieczenstwo oraz byl doswiadczonym rowerzysta w ruchu ulicznym; trasa byla bardzo ciekawa i pozwalala dobrze poznac okolice; poczestunek z lokalnych produktów i degustacja win byly milym akcentem. Stan techniczny rowerów - dobry. Trasa dosc wymagajaca (jazda waskimi uliczkami, z górki po piaszczystych drogach), ale elektryczne rowery oraz wskazówki przewodnika ulatwialy sprawe.

This event was sold to us at the time of booking the holiday as an experience for all ages and abilities. Unfortunatley my wife was unable to become confident with the bike being used despite trying and had to drop out of the trip. I took part on my own, and whilst I absolutely loved the trip-I was unable to experience it with my wife. However the guide (Alex?) was excellent and the views were superb

We were picked up from our hotel with two other couples and taken to be allocated suitable size e-bikes (and helmets, gloves and bottle of water). Our guide gave us safety instructions and details of how to use the e-bike assist system. We rode to Emporio and Megalochori where we sat at a taverna for wine tasting and meze and our talented guide Kyriokos (i think, as he joked "you can call me Charlie") gave a fabulous impromtu piano recital. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole 3 hour morning ride

Amazing trip! Rep told us not to bother and just rent some bikes it’ll be cheaper, but we felt a tour guide would be a safer option after seeing how crazy the roads are! Tour guide was an incredible guy and took us to some really special places on the island! Worth the money and more, the best trip of our holiday

This was a good experience. Charlie was a great guide. he was always aware of us and our surroundings. 13 miles across vineyards and through villages with a fantastic view of the Caldera along the way. His piano playing during a drinks break was out of this world. A good way to see a little of Santorini.

It was really good to see the less travelled part of Santorini and going through the countryside on the quieter country roads. The tour was well planned and the electric bikes a good way to travel through the countryside getting into tight places, enabling those who are less fit to be included. The guides were experienced to keep all the riders safe and had a lot of knowledge they shared during the ride from history to why the vines differ from those in other countries.

Was a great thing to do early in our stay on Santorini. Got to see some of the south of the island and a great view of the Caldera. You need to be familiar with riding a bike, but the electric power makes it really easy to go up even the steepest of hills without any effort. The guide was very knowledgable and caring. The bikes were in very good condition and maintained - safety was good. Overall well recommended!

This was my 1st go on an e-bike & glad I did so. The Guide was informative. One was given the chance to trial run the bike beforehand. The route was on varied terrain.. off road, narrow village lanes, but no busy roads, we only crossed over them. The info said snacks would be provided but none were.
