Travel along the shores of Lake Wakatipu and Lake Te Anau, pass the glacier‑carved mountains of Fiordland National Park, and enjoy a cruise on Milford Sound. This coach-and-cruise tour lets you relax while everything is taken care of for you throughout the day.Starting from being picked up, you'll sit back, relax, and enjoy an unforgettable journey of a lifetime. Travel south along the shore of Lake Wakatipu, a deep glacial lake surrounded by soaring steep mountains. Then west across Northern Southland to Te Anau, where a 30-minute stop allows you to walk around the pretty village nestled on the shores of Lake Te Anau.Next, travel in a northerly direction to see the vast wilderness of Fiordland National Park unfold on the opposite side of the lake. Learn about the lake from the informative guide before the coach enters the national park via Eglington Valley. Once at Milford, a 1 hour 45min cruise commences aboard one of the modern three-deck catamarans, taking you the length of the fjord to the Tasman Sea and back. Hear about the local Maori Legends and why Captain Cook failed to discover Milford Sound whilst trying to spot seals often meters away.
