Experience a 3-day Mafia Island adventure from Zanzibar, snorkelling reefs, exploring Kua Ruins and Blue Lagoon, and swimming with whale sharks.Day 1: Arrival and Marine Park discovery
Fly from Zanzibar via Dar es Salaam to Mafia Island, then transfer to Kinasi Lodge, just 10 minutes from the airport. Dive straight into adventure with the excursion team in the Mafia Island Marine Park. Choose between snorkelling and exploring the historic Kua Ruins and Blue Lagoon, a stunning coral grotto connected to the ocean.Activities adapt to the tides for an optimal experience: low tide brings picnics on Marimbani sandbank in Chole Bay, while high tide takes you to Miewe Island or Mvinje Beach near the Kua Channel.Day 2: Whale shark and sunset sail
After an early breakfast, journey to Juani Beach near Kilindoni, where expert freedivers guide you on a whale shark excursion. Snorkel alongside these gentle giants for an energetic experience! Enjoy fresh fruit, cakes, and water onboard, with a possible picnic stop at Fungu Sefu sandbank. Return to Kinasi for a sunset cruise under sail across Chole Bay, watching the sun dip below the Rufiji Delta.Day 3: Design your day
Choose between diving or snorkelling, visiting the Ras Bweni Lighthouse with a picnic lunch, kiteboarding, exploring Chole Island's traditional village or relaxing by Kinasi's pool. Afternoon, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Zanzibar, where your driver awaits.
