What to expect

This city tour begins with a visit to the beautiful Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. This is one of the largest mosques in the Middle East, and the only mosque open to non-Muslims in Muscat.After that, you'll stop at the Royal Opera House for a visit. It is a reference point for opera, ballet, dance performances and concerts throughout the GCC region, attracting spectators from around the world to its beautiful auditorium. From this magical place, you'll reach the picturesque Muttrah Corniche, going through the coastal road of Shatti Al Qurum. Visit of Muttrah Souq, which retains the bustling charm of a traditional Arab market despite being housed under modern timber roofing. Here you'll have the chance to buy Omani specialties like Frankincense, Omani daggers spices, and perfumes.You will also have time to enjoy a stroll along the Corniche, admiring the various cruise ships at Mina Al Sultan Qaboos Port. You will then visit the Bait Al Zubair Museum, where you'll gain fascinating insights into Oman's social structure, cultural traditions and heritage. Then it will be time for lunch at a local restaurant in Muttrah, where you can savour traditional local dishes. After lunch, you'll make a photo stop at Al Alam Palace, the official residence of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, which is flanked by the 16th-century Portuguese forts of Mirani and Jalali. From the palace, you will travel through the old town and go back to your hotel.

Please note that visits inside the Grand Mosque are only possible until 11.00 am and and are not available on Fridays due to religious prayers. Bait Al Zubair Museum is also closed on Fridays
It's recommended to wear sneakers and comfortable clothing, but you must respect the country's dress requirements (no bare shoulders or knees, low-cut necklines, transparent clothing, or visible tattoos)
To enter the Mosque, guests are required to wear respectful attire. Women must wear long clothes that fully cover their arms and legs, and their heads must be covered with a scarf or veil. Men are required to wear long trousers
