This artificial cave reopened to visitors in 2025 after a decade-long restoration. The interplay of colours and the man-made lake are sure to captivate you.You'll have plenty of time to explore the palace grounds and the awe-inspiring scenery before visiting King Ludwig II's smallest yet most exquisite palace. Your journey continues through Oberammergau, a village known for its artistic community and the globally acclaimed Passion Play performed every decade.The tour will finally take you to Hohenschwangau, where you can have lunch, capture incredible photos of Neuschwanstein Castle from Marienbridge, and explore the fairytale castle later in the afternoon. Throughout the trip, you can choose from a selection of beverages and high-quality snacks included in the offer.

This tour operates with a minimum of 5 participants. In the event that the minimum is not met, the tour supplier will offer guests an alternative date, or guests may choose to cancel the tour (usually 24 hours before departure)

Please note, there is a slightly uphill walk to reach Neuschwanstein Castle. Alternatively, you can get on a horse-drawn carriage or shuttle bus, followed by a short walk, for an additional fee to be paid directly to the local transport company: adults - €3,50; children (7-12 years) - €2,00; children (0-6 years) - free. Horse-drawn carriage fee regardless of age: ascent €8,00, downhill €4,00

The Venus Grotto at Linderhof Palace is included in the tour from 1st May until 15th October 2026

Excellent

We had a great day out visiting the Palace and Castle. It was an excellent conducted tour that was comfortable and enjoyable and informative. We were also served snacks and drinks regularly. The driver was very good and our tour guide Annette was excellent and looked after the tourists very well.
