What to expect
Venturing to Madeira's unspoiled lands and seas is easy on this combination 4x4 and catamaran tour. You'll spend the morning exploring country and coastal tracks to highlights like Boca dos Namorados and Cabo Girão, then the afternoon is for relaxing on a three-hour dolphin watching catamaran cruise.First up it's Boca dos Namorados, a lookout overlooking the staggering depths of Nun's Valley. After a short trip we'll then arrive at Jardim da Serra, Madeira's cherry land. You'll also be taken to the highest sea cliff in Europe, Cabo Girão, where for a small fee you'll be able to gaze out over panoramic views towards the sea below. Finally, you'll head to Camara de Lobos for a Madeira wine tasting, where we'll wrap up the 4x4 portion of the tour.Now, hop aboard a catamaran for a three-hour cruise from Funchal past Cabo Girão – where in summer you'll stop for a swim. You'll have the chance to look out for dolphins and whales in their natural habitat, too, before the trip ends back at the marina in Funchal.

Die Tour war sehr schön, individuell und hat uns zu schönen Orten auf der Insel geführt. Der Guide war sehr freundlich und hat die Tour zu einem spaßigen Erlebnis gemacht. Die Poncha-Verkostung (3,50€ / Person) und der Aussichtspunkt Cabo Girao (3€ / Person) sind nicht inklusive. Das sollte vorher erwähnt werden.

Het aanbod bestond uit 2 delen: eerst de 4X4 Toer (kliffen en valleien) en dan de Catemaran (dolfijnspotting op zee); het eerste gedeelte leek mij zeer chaotisch en zonder welbepaald doel; de aanwezigheid van de gids maakte wel veel goed; de jongen sloofde zich uit en deed dit prima! Qua dagindeling wel een tegenvaller: waarom we nog meer dan 2 uur doelloos moeten wachten op het vertrek van de Catamaran is mij totaal onduidelijk. Een betere planning zou voor iedereen aangenaam zijn.

Tussen ochtend en middagprogramma hadden we bijna 2 uur tijd. Zo kon je nog wat drinken en eten tussendoor. Poncha proeven niet inclusief de prijs, Madeira wijn proeverij wel inclusief.

Es waren quasi zwei verschiedene Touren, zwischen den beiden hatte man eine lange Pause (fast 3h), daher würde ich es mit Kindern nicht empfehlen. Die Weinprobe ist ausgefallen, was für uns nicht schlimm war. Wale haben wir nicht gesehen, aber Delphine auf einem vollen Katamaran, das war sehr schön. Insbesondere ist anzumerken, dass Robert, der Fahrer des Jeeps zu allen sehr freundlich war, sehr gut gefahren ist und viel erklärt und gezeigt hat, es war eine gute Atmosphäre

Nicht so gut: Weinprobe nicht stattgefunden, weil geschlossen. Dafür private Ponchaprobe ( mit Kosten), gut: Toller Guide! Gute Einweisung, interessante und kurzweilige Informationen, tolle Landschaften, Abenteuer pur, Inselwissen Katamaran- Delfine gesehen, tolles Wetter, gute Organisation Alle äußerst freundlich und auf Sicherheit bedacht

Der einheimische Guide war sehr authentisch und hat mit einer guten Balance zwischen interessanten Informationen, viel Spaß, Geländefahrt, tollen Aussichtspunkten und Pausen gepunktet. Die Vorgehensweise war bei der Geländewagenfahrt am Vormittag immer transparent. Der Übergang zur Katamaranfahrt war vom zeitlichen Ablauf etwas unklar und leider gab es auf dem Katamaran keine wirkliche Ansprache über den zeitlichen Ablauf des Nachmittags. Die vielen gesichteten Delphine fanden wir aber super.

Wie auch schon die Weintour (Norden), mit dem Jeep, erneut ein tolles Erlebnis. Landschaft, Off-Road, Weinverkostung und tolle Eindrücke. (Westen) Ein wenig engl. Sprache sollte aber selbst möglich sein. Ganz weit oben hat es auch mal geregnet. Jacke mitnehmen! Ab Mittag die Katamaran Tour! Delphine haben uns oft, ganz nah, begleitet. Baden vor den Steilküsten von Câmara de Lobos, zur Abkühlung! Fischsichtungen eher nicht. Die sind den Tauchern (gemacht) vorbehalten, zus. Wrack! Toller Tag!

Unser Guide Rui ist einfach ein richtig sympathischer Kerl, die 4x4 Tour war wirklich sehr schön, in einer netten kleinen Bar gab es einen leckeren Poncha inklusive einer kleinen Überraschung. Auf der Tour mit dem Katamaran haben wir dann auch tatsächlich einige Delphine und sogar einen Buckelwal sehen können. Der Tag war wirklich ein Traum

Leuk en gepassioneerd 4x4 team, met veel informatie over de bezochte locaties. De start verliep eerder "onveilig" en de "off-road" stukken vormen geen toegevoegde waarde: onze volledig open jeep bood geen afscherming tegen het stof waardoor we helemaal onder het stof en met vuile kleren aan de namiddag moesten beginnen. De doorverwijzing naar de catamaran verliep ook fout waardoor we bij de verkeerde firma aanschoven. De catamaran ervaring was bijzonder fijn en mooi dankzij de vele dolfijnen.

Leuke afwisselende trip. Goede indruk van het landschap van Madeira. Leuke stop voor de demonstratie van het maken en proeven van het Madeira drankje poncho. Misschien van te voren aangeven dat dit niet bij de prijs inbegrepen zit. Goede gidsen en chauffeurs. En tot slot een mooie tocht op de catamaran.

Painful EasyJet delays outbound and inbound (we understand due to lack of baggage handling staff at Gatwick). Breakfast at Hotel OK, but evening dinner was poor, food was luke warm and vey salty. Rooms to rear of hotel (facing hill) were noisy, traffic noise all through the night. Lack of waiters in hotel dinning room, very slow to clear table or to make up tables. I normally avoid hotels with salt water swimming pools, this hotel reminded me why.
