Visit the Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle in Alsace, one of the most visited monuments in France!Nestled in the heart of the Vosges forest, Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle dominates the famous Alsace Wine Route, which winds at its feet. For almost 900 years, the monument has stood the test of time as it has been destroyed and rebuilt time and time again.The castle offers a remarkable vision of what a fortified castle was like in the Middle Ages. Today, it offers participative workshops, themed tours, sensory explorations, and events that allow visitors to discover the fortress from an unusual angle!

Know in advance:
The site is surrounded by 150 free parking spaces and 6 spaces reserved for the disabled. From the car park, access to the castle is via a 300 m earth path with a slight uphill slope
The visit to the castle includes 300 steps of different heights and orientations. Numerous resting seats are available along the tour circuit
Free entrance for all visitors on the 1st Sunday of the month from November to March and during the "European Heritage Days" (3rd weekend of September)

Très beau château intérieur et extérieur avec des choses interactives et de bonnes informations. Cependant le nombre de touristes acceptés ainsi que le nombre de visite guidé programmée entache énormément la visite. Sa pousse, sa crie on a pas le temps de regarder correctement. Peu satisfaite.

Très beau château. Beau travail de réfection avec le peu de moyens qu ils avaient à l époque.
Manque peut-être la visite de plus de pièces à vivre dans le château. Et un point de vue exceptionnel. Très bien entretenu.

Arrivés tôt le matin à l'ouverture l'accès au parking et château à été facile. Partis vers 11h00, nous avons croisé plusieurs kilomètres de bouchon. Prévenir les visiteurs de ce gros problème ? Limiter l'accès plus tôt dans la plaine ?

Le site est vraiment incroyable ! On s'imagine bien la vie à l'époque des châteaux forts. De très belles salles et le mobilier bien reconstitué. Le seul hic à notre visite a été le temps épouvantable, pluie et surtout le vent.
Mais nous gardons un très beau souvenir de cette visite

Ningún problema, llegamos y nos dirigimos directamente a la entrada, una vez pasado el control de seguridad. Aunque no había mucha gente, está muy bien indicada la entrada y si tienes ya las entradas, como era en nuestro caso, vas directo a la entrada.
