Storms River kayak and lilo

This 2-hour Storms River Kayak and Lilo Adventure is our most popular adventure activity in Tsitsikamma National Park. If you are interested in paddling more into the Storms River Gorge in Tsitsikamma, this is perfect for you. Your adventure starts at the harbor next to the small beach across the ocean, then you'll pass under the Suspension Bridge until you get to the beautiful Storms River Mouth. Please note that if the sea is rough, you have to hike to the Suspension Bridge (along a board walked trail), where you can hike along the river from the suspension bridge up to the jetty to where you then get on onto your kayaks. This is an 80m hike of difficult terrain over rocks.After that, that's where the true Kayaking adventure begins by paddling through Storms River, the pinnacle of Tsitsikamma National Park. You will feel like a celebrity as the tourists take pictures of your cool moves in the kayak from the Suspension Bridge. Then, you will continue kayaking up the Stormsrivier, right into the bat's cave, and spend time admiring the cliffs around you. At the low-water point, you can disembark your kayaks and jump on your unique Lilos, inflatable mattresses that have been specially made for this trip. From there, you will walk and float over a short section of rocks and simply wade deeper up the river on your Lilos, so you can enjoy the breathtaking view more up close. Once you reach the desired point, you can turn your Lilos around and float back downriver to your kayaks.
