What to expect
Hit the sands of Sal Rei's best beach for a day that lines-up three fun experiences. Cast off from Morabeza Beach Club towards the pretty islet of Djeu for the chance to snorkel in glistening waters. Back on dry land , there's a visit to Duque de Bragança fortress, before lunch is served. The fun continues into the afternoon on the beach, where you can swim, relax and try stand-up paddleboarding or kayaking.

Definitely not worth £60 for the trip. Didn’t seem to be very organised. The trip was ok, staff lovely but everything about the trip seemed disjointed. Spent a lot of the time sitting around waiting to find out what was happening. Didn’t have a long time kayaking or on the paddle board. Snorkelling was standard. Food was ok. Was nice to meet other travelers, but would not do it again. Transfer back took me to wrong hotel and had to wait 1.5hrs to get back to my hotel. Poorly organised

Der Ausflug war sensationell! Wir waren zuerst etwas skeptisch da es den Ausflug nur englischsprachig gibt und unser „Schulenglisch“ etwas bröckelig ist. Uns hat es super gefallen und sind sehr gut zurecht gekommen! Die guides vor Ort waren sehr sympathisch und hilfsbereit. Die Fotos die ein Guide macht sind ihr Geld wert. Ein toller Ausflug!!!!

Enjoyed the swim in calm sea, paid for photos that I haven’t received which I am so angry.The food was absolutely covered in flies which at one point counted 22 flies, bought drinks but couldn’t drink because of flies.

Really only booked this because we wanted to see marine life/snorkelling and the rep recommended it. The snorkelling was really poor - the site it visited was very unimpressive (barely any coral/fish life/poor visibility and extremely over crowded). Disappointing - just ended up sitting on the beach. Food was nice though.

Enjoyed the experience of visiting another island but the guide was more interested in taking pictures of us and trying to sell them to us for €25 per set than giving any information about the island and its history, very little instruction about the water activities and safety, snorkelling equipment dated and many didn’t work properly. Food uncovered and covered in flies which put you off eating some it, given how warm it was water should be supplied in the cost as thought it was expensive day

I cannot recommend this highly enough. The islet is stunning, the restaurant is idyllic and the staff could not be kinder or more friendly. Coming from Riu Toureg, it was amazing to actually get into the sea. Thanks so much to the organisers. Our 12 and 14 year olds love LOVED this

There was a lot of waiting around for coaches and boats to get us to the island and back. The visit to the cannons just seemed like an opportunity for the guides to take photos to then charge you for the pleasure. Your own opportunity to take photos seemed to not be acceptable. I would not say this experience was value for money

The whole experience was wonderful and made a great break away from our resort hotel. We were in a nice air conditioned TUI bus and when we arrived at the beach bar, we were given a welcome drink and told the order of the day. We waited around a little but this was fine, gave us time to apply sun cream and familiarise our surroundings. Staff were so helpful and friendly, we always felt safe. Photos by Junior were an added bonus. Lunch was buffet style and ok. So much fun, highly recommend!

We haven’t been yet we booked it at the meeting the day after we arrived to go on the following Monday paid for it, got a message to say it had been cancelled until Wednesday then got a message the day after to say it had been cancelled again until Thursday? We will wait and see what happens don’t have much faith in booking anymore trips with you to be honest.

We absolutely loved this trip. The staff made us feel really safe. It was relaxing, not too overcrowded. The food was really good. Snorkelling was really good. Only disappointment was that you allow children to be booked into the trip but don’t provide any children’s snorkels. Could they not have a couple of sets for kids or at least make that known at the time of booking? Also they did run out of adult flippers.

Not enough equipment for everyone. Staff got impatient and huffy at times. TUI host was excellent, food good, location good. Just a bit disorganised.. Would definitely not be able to cope with larger parties, as not enough equipment or large enough boat for transfers to the island. Good potential though.

Improve the food, as we were the last boat back and felt the food was over cooked and not much variety left to pick from. Snorkelling was fun and the boat ride over to the island was nice but very sloppy and hard to get in and out of the boat (needs an anti slip mat) on floor of boat. Guides were very friendly and our children loved having a go on the kayaks. Lovely back drop and day out. Bus ride was a bit uncomfortable there and back and some off-roading. As a whole loved the day out.

It took a while to get going as was a larger group but the boat ride to the island was great and the snorkelling was super fun, we got to see loads of fish and even some starfish, the time between having lunch and then doing water activities was quite long which cut into the time a bit but once it got going again it was great fun to use the paddle boards and kayaks, all the staff were also super friendly and helpful in the water

One of the last excursions was the beach. The rest on the beach was great, comfortable sun loungers, warm sea, sand. And the extreme was snorkeling. No one even explained that you need to jump from an inflatable boat and also somehow climb onto it. My friend and I were pulled by the arms. This was certainly something. As a result, I have bruises, scratches on my hand and my friend's finger was bruised until it bled. The snorkeling masks are just awful, hard and uncomfortable, water constantly go

Wir haben schon eine Info an TUI über die Mitarbeiterin der TUI im Hotel RIU Touareg weiter gegeben. Das Schnorcheln war Unsinn! 10 min und kaum was gesehen! Die Ruine auf der Insel wurde aus Zeitgründen nicht besucht! Ein Boot kam über 30 min später, hatte keine Einstiegshilfe. Wir mussten über die Reling klettern. Dabei habe ich mich verletzt! Foto hat die Mitarbeiterin im Hotel gemacht. Baden war nicht wirklich möglich, da die Wellen viel zu stark waren. Lokation und Essen waren gut.

Es wäre besser gewesen länger auf der Insel zu verweilen, da der Strand besser ist um ins Meer zu kommen. Lunchpaket hätte man mit dem Boot mitnehmen können, z. B. bei "Schauinsland" Reisen besser. Vielleicht ein bis zwei andere Strände zusätzlich anbieten, sollte bei Ganztagesausflug doch möglich sein.

I didn't take part, too worrying... My husband said the swim was too far for the snorkeling ,and during the kayak, got swept out , Even as hard as he tried to get back, he couldn't, waving at me for attention I was told don't worry he's fine, again waving for attention , was told he's ok , and if it wasn't for the life jacket I think he would have drowned , then the kayak tipped and hit him on the head to which I then had to get rescued.. which was horrendous for me to watch.

Good to get out of the hotel, experience a laid backed day out at a green flag beach & friendly beach bar staff & guides. Enjoyable visit to nearby island with short walk to fortress with panoramic views of Boa Vista & snorkelling around nearby coral reef with plenty of fish on view; 1 group member saw a turtle! Only downside was the amount of rubbish on the island that claimed to be environmentally friendly. Taster session of kayaking & paddle boarding would improve with more equipment.

Staff very attentive our grandson got caught by a sea urchin and had to have 3 spines removed all done by the staff. The sea was a little rough but the life guard helps you in and out of the sea. The kayak and snorkeling was good fun and very good food

Great day out & experience by all in our party ranging from 6-55. Only negative was the speedboat. I appreciate the journey was for only 5-6 mins but it was not really suitable for our 6 year old. Nor did the driver give us an opportunity to move our son, despite asking, into a more suitable position, i.e., next to an adult. I had a terrified 14 year old who was desperately trying to hold on to her brother to make sure he did not fall in.

Not suitable for anyone with mobility problem as boarding the fishing boat (sic!) was very difficult and to too pleasant experience. Gained plenty of bruises. Coral reef is very small and you spent there about 5-10 min, the rest is swimming back to shore by yourself.

The restaurant & setting was idyllic, staff were attentive the whole time, lunch was wide ranging, fresh and tasty. The water sports inc scuba diving, kayaking & paddle boarding was great fun and felt very safe and organised. I have a disability and struggled a little to get in and out of the boat but the staff helped and lifted people. I'd just be aware if you have low mobility or problems with upper body strength. My 2 teenage daughters and I had a fabulous experience and day out. Recommended.

I loved this day! The beach is beautiful and peaceful not overcrowded. The tour guide were really friendly and helpful and gorgeous too lol! The food was incredible and lots to choose from and the snorkelling was sooo good. They even helped my little go who is 6 so I could really enjoy the experience and she could too.

We are a family of 4 with two 13yr old boys. We'd totally recommend this trip. Easy to arrange, pick up both ends was easy and well organised. The beach was beautiful with plenty of time to enjoy snorkeling, kayaking and paddle boarding. Football on the beach with the guides and some locals after an amazing lunch in the best beach bar I've ever been to!

The whole day was amazing! The staff were all so friendly, chatty (was so impressed with them being multi-lingual). They told us all about the places/activities but then also asked about us e.g. was it our first time visiting the island etc. We were so looked after both in/out the water. The staff were constantly with us but not ‘in your face’ we honestly couldn’t fault them

Het snorkelen was geweldig. De lunch die wij kregen was goed, helaas was dit maar inclusief 1 drankje. Dat is erg weinig voor een dag in de warmte op het strand. Dit was niet vooraf gecommuniceerd. Daarnaast was het suppen/ kajakken wel heel erg kort 10 minuten. Misschien moeten deze punten wat duidelijker worden aangegeven.

The morning of this trip is identical to the snorkeling experience same reef & same island seeing the same fort. The boat for snorkeling needs to be clearly described as it is a dinghy on this trip that is used so it will be awkward & possibly embarrassing if you can not pull your body weight up into the boat. Tui reps should concentrate on giving facts rather than just glorifying the excursion.

More idea of a ‘timeline’ northing set out initially— it was all a bit ‘piecemeal’! Also more information for those who like me maybe an active elder who might need more assistance getting in and out of the boats!!

Op zich is het een leuke excursie. Alleen de organisatie was niet zo goed. Bij het snorkelen werd erg weinig vooraf verteld. Welke spullen we mee moesten nemen. En ook niet dat we nog naar een fort gingen lopen. Het varen van en naar het eiland was niet goed geregeld, waardoor we heel lang moesten wachten voordat we terug konden. Verder werd niet verteld hoe laat we weer opgehaald zouden worden. Mensen hadden net een drankje gehaald en opeens moesten we binnen 5 minuten vertrekken.

Fabulous place right on the beach really lovely helpful staff and pleased to welcome us drink on arrival and free drink with lunch food was amazing and delicious water sports to have a go at would recommend lovely place to visit

Tui rep was awful when booking, told me absolutely no information on what I was going to be doing, seemed like she tried to just rush me into paying for it. Overall experience at the excursion was brilliant but I just think the tui reps when booking it were very unhelpful and uninformative, feel very disappointed and let down

Enjoyed most of it, sadly I was not well on the day so didn't participate in the snorkelling or the ruins talk. But big shout out to the guy who stayed on the beach with me, and for the shade equipment he calmly had with him and erected on the beach to shade me from the sun. Nothing i didn't like, food was good also. Feeling better in the afternoon i was delighted to be able to swim in the sea as we couldn't do this at our hotel Touareg, and no one had told us that the red flag would be flying
