What to expect
Go on an exciting trip to the centre of the Inca civilisation. Your tour starts in Chinchero, an important place during the Inca empire. Here, you'll learn about the complex history of religious change in the region. Next, you'll visit Maras, an impressive salt mining complex that was very important in the Inca trade network.The tour then goes on to Moray, where you'll see mysterious concentric circular terraces. After lunch, you'll explore Ollantaytambo, a great example of how the Incas planned their cities. This archaeological complex, which is often called a fortress, was actually used as a resting place for travellers who were travelling long distances.Your final stop is the citadel of Pisac, where you can explore dozens of stalls in the local market. Here, you'll find a wide range of handcrafted goods made by local artisans, offering a great opportunity to take home a piece of Peruvian culture. This tour gives you a full picture of the interesting world of the Inca civilisation, mixing historical sites with living traditions.

The tour only includes admission to Maras. If you want to visit Moray and Ollantaytambo, you need to buy the Cusco Tourist Ticket (BTC). Passengers can buy this ticket on-site with the help of the tour guide. Please note that the archaeological site doesn't accept credit cards, so it's best to have cash ready at the start of the tour

Meeting point:
A pick-up service is available from hotels located in the historic centre of Cusco. You must be ready and waiting in the hotel lobby 15 minutes prior to your scheduled pick-up time. The tour doesn't include pick-up from private residences with no reception.
