What to expect
Not many cities combine this much flavour and heritage into a single walking experience, and this tour delivers exactly that with six carefully chosen tastings across the heart of San Antonio. The experience kicks off at Historic Market Square, the largest Mexican market in the United States and one of the most vibrant gathering spots in the city, where you'll start your morning the local way: with a barbacoa or carne guisada taco served on a warm, handmade tortilla from a family-run taqueria, straightforward and bursting with authentic taste.A leisurely stroll through Historic Downtown reveals captivating local stories and iconic landmarks, including a pause for the city's highest-rated burger, a creative bean-based favourite with strong local connections. The route winds past architectural gems such as San Fernando Cathedral and the Bexar County Courthouse before arriving at the River Walk, the number-one tourist draw in Texas, where you'll enjoy a seasonal pizza crafted with regional ingredients and a serving of house-smoked turkey. To round things off, you'll cool down with handmade sorbet or gelato on the way towards the Alamo, followed by the Secret Dish, a surprise recipe unveiled only on the day itself. Small groups capped at 12 participants ensure a relaxed, personal pace, with plenty of local history woven into every stop along the way.
