Mijas & Malaga Lights-beautiful Tui Experience here previously were excellent . Sadly the Tui Rep informed us she will try and tell us as much as she could as she was new She is not an official tourist guide so caution to be taken by the police . In Mijas the complimentary tapas of a slice of ham on dry bed and a drink was awful . The rep knew very little of the area re Christmas traditiions .Malaga we were given a map with directions only as rep was not officially registered as tourguide

Guide was very knowledgeable and spoke several languages. Nerja is very pretty. There should a short excursion offered to see their Christmas lights as they looked impressive and their christmas market was good. Malaga lights show was great. You get there plenty of time before it starts at 6.30 then have an hour to look around. Only disappointment was the weather.

Enjoyed the lights.Visit to Mijas was poor and a non event. We were hurried to the hotel providing a free drink but this was crowded and a rushed experience. Trip would have been better value if we had gone straight to Malaga. Then we would have had tine to visit some of Malaga's attractions eg cathedral, Christmas market,botanical gardens etc prior to the light show.Last year's guide met us close to the lights to go back to the coach.This did not happen this year and we did lose our way back.

Fabulous coach this time with christmas music on the rep went above and beyond and took nothing for granted he was fun every bit of the way if I ran an excursion I'd hire him in a flash the only thing I didn't like was it was to short an excursion

Helaas was het ons niet duidelijk hoe het precies ging in Mijas. We moesten naar het toilet en de reisleider was al weg op dat moment en we wisten niet waar heen. En de tijd vanaf het begin van de lichtshow tot het moment dat we weer bij de bus moesten zijn was erg kort. 20 min.

Den Besuch einer Bodega in Mijas war ziemlich kurz, da nach uns schon die nächste Gruppe wartete. Sehr hektisch. Könnte man lassen, wenn man dafür mehr Zeit in der Stadt Malaga verbringen könnte.

47euros was a bit too much for this tour. We paid for a tour guide but only got a rep. Melissa is a lovely girl but she is not a professional guide. Should have started the tour at least an hour earlier as there wasn't a lot of time to look around Mijas. The place we were taken to for tasting the local delicacies was not very clean. The amount of steps we had to climb should have been mentioned when booking as some older people couldn't cope. The lights in Malaga were the highlight of the tour.

Village was really lovely, overall area beautiful, got some lovely pictures. Some local wine, Little church here very nice. the length of time in malaga for me was too long, lights were lovely, was very busy. Left our hotel at 14:10 back at 20:30. Tour guide was freddy very friendly, plenty of information given, clear instructions given.

There is no way that ONE guide could cope with 50+ with such varied mobility issues! There should have been two. The fact that we left 2 behind is just a symptom of the bad management/ planning.

Als je nog niet eerder in Mijas bent geweest is de tijd om even rond te kijken aan de korte kant, hoorden wij vertellen! Mogelijk doordat onderweg nog enkele mensen werden opgehaald. De begeleiding was prima, Gary was vrolijk, geduldig, duidelijk in uitleg, herhaalde e.e.a. desnoods en deed als tijdverdrijf een leuk kaartspelletje op weg naar Malaga. Verblijf in Malaga is voldoende, dat is tenslotte hoofddoel.

Ik vond de gids hilarisch met zijn kerstmuts en vlechtjes ( Heidi ? ) spijtig dat ik de gewonnen cava ( met een spel op de bus ) niet heb meegekregen !had ik nog een feestje kunnen bebouwen ? ??De lichtshow was leuk heel druk en kort ( 10 min ) de ezeltjes er was water maar door te korte koord konden ze er niet aan ! ??

Heel toffe Engelstalige gids Gary. Mijas is een prachtig dorp en de kerstlichtjes zijn zeker de moeite waard om te zien. Om de gezelligheid van Mijas te ontdekken heb je wel meer tijd nodig maar is begrijpelijk dat het niet mogelijk is met een excursie.

Really enjoyed this trip. Smooth journey. Mijas is a lovely town. I saw the watch tower, botanical gardens, lovely streets and amazing views. Tried local wine and Christmas cookie, included. The Malaga Christmas lights were stunning. Melissa made the whole trip interesting. The draw for Christmas socks was fun. Highly recommend.

Te weinig tijd in Mijas om rustig te genieten van de mooie locatie. De sfeerverlichting is super mooi in Malaga maar toch ook weer te weinig tijd om te genieten van de omgeving.. Vroeger vertrekken zou beter zijn , hadden ook geen tijd om iets te drinken of te eten ..bijna te laat terug in ons hotel om nog te kunnen eten

There was no specified time on how long we would have at each destination and felt very rushed. Only had a hour and a bit at each destination. Gary was amazing though. Need to be told that we’re only having a short amount of time to ourselves

The trip was not worth the money. We were picked up at 2.10 and did not get to Mijas until around 3.30. We did not make it to the bar for churros at 4.15 as we had to be back at the coach for 4.45. We had been looking forward to visiting Mijas, but there was not enough time to walk round. The map was not very helpful even a local told us it was rubbish. We arrived in Malaga around 5.30. The lights were switched on at 6.30 and we had to meet the guide at 6.55 to walk back to the coach.

Alles hop hop hop en nog eens hop… Weinig interessante momenten. Veel te weinig tijd voor het ene en het andere moment misschien Max 15 minuten en vlug terug. Verloren geld, hadden een heel deftig menu kunnen eten!!!

Goede tip van onze Engelse gids Gary om naar 15de verdieping van het Mariott hotel te gaan. Daar prachtig uitzicht over de haven en de kathedraal, vlak naast het hotel kon je bijna aanraken. Mijas vond ik minder. Had daar meer van verwacht

We kregen slechts 20 minuten in Malaga voor verlichting?? De gids legde alles uit in 3-voud, zelfs in het nederlands, en de vermelde versnapering was niet ok, alhoewel die inbegrepen was in de prijs

Overal te weinig tijd. Alles in 4 talen: bravo voor Sonja MAAR op de duur verwarrend. Waarom niet beperkt tot 2 talen verdeeld op de 2 bussen? Geen Churros in Mijas maar kleine koekjes. Vertrek uit Malaga om 19u op het moment dat tweede deel van lichtshow start aan kathedraal start. Waarom geen 30 minuten later terugkeren?

Gary our rep guide. What a fantastic person. So knowledgeable, funny and kind! We had an excellent afternoon/evening visiting Mijas, then onto Malaga for the Christmas lights switch on. The little restaurant they use in Mijas for wine tasting and pastry sweets was just a wonderful touch.

Good trip, but not enough time in Mijas and the wine tasting was rubbish, just one small glass of wine. Also not enough time in Malaga city. So really it wasn't great value for money. Our tour guide was great though.

Very disappointed with room, three adults one a 80year old one at 34 with special needs and his mother. We were given 2 beds and a put up. This was up against the patio doors which made it difficult to get in and out, also stopped the fridge door opening more than a few inches. It also made a lot of noise during the night. We did ask to move but would have had to go to far end, l use a walker and it would mean steps so we put up with it. The hotel was fab just the room.

Der Aufenthalt in Mijas war leider etwas zu kurz. Wir hätten uns gerne noch mehr angeschaut. Unsere Reiseleiterin Suzanna war sehr nett und kümmerte sich sehr aufmerksam um alle Gäste, was nicht einfach war bei der großen Anzahl von Menschen in Málaga. Die Lichtershow war sehr schön, es hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt.

We very much enjoyed Mijas and we very much enjoyed the Christmas Lights in Malaga. The only negative is that there was too little time in both the destinations. This needs to be two separate trips as we barely got to Mijas when we were leaving. The trip to the Bodega was largely unnecessary with so little time. We could have spent a day there then the Bodega would have been appropriate. Similarly we could have spent a whole day in Malaga there was so much to see.

The so called tour guide was I audible on the coach and when someone asked him to speak up he rod them to move seats…….on a full coach? I could not understand anything he said. An elderly couple with medical issues struggled to keep up with him in Malaga as he was dashing ahead far too quickly in the crowds of people. When they asked him to slow down he was quite insensitive to their needs and I found his attitude offensive. He should not be doing this job.

Overall timing was poorly planned, despite the coach leaving on time we arrived late at Mijas which meant that the time in the resort was limited, this had a knock on effect for time in Malaga. It would better if the trip set off at least 1 hour earlier.

This was probably the best tour we have been on. The light show of malaga were stunning. I did think we could have spent some more time in the city, it would definitely be worth missing dinner at hotel to spend the evening in the city instead of just an hour and half

Mijas very dirty and smells of dog wee too much time in mijas nothing much to see. Malaga was ok not enough time there to see any of malaga only enough time to go into 3 shops get a quick coffee went to the toilet and missed the beginning of the light show. Very disappointed got there at 5.15 by time we walked across all the roads it was 5.35 light show starts at 6.30 back on coach back by 7pm could do with either leaving mijas off. Bit expensive to spend most of the time in a coach
