What to expect
There's nothing quite like a morning horse ride to invigorate and get you ready for another perfect day in Sal. Head to the stables where you'll be paired with your horse for an hour-long ride to the world-famous Kite beach. Canter along the sand and take in the panoramas from your new, higher vantage point. This is an easygoing, slow paced ride, ideal for families and beginners.

Maximum weight is 80kg for riders – please let us know your weight when you book
The minimum age for beginner riders is six years
The minimum age for intermediate and advanced riders is 13 years
The one-hour rides do not include galloping
Please be aware, in order to make sure the horses are kept safe, you'll be weighed before you can ride them. Refunds won't be issued if you exceed the maximum weight allowance

Have never ridden a horse and was a tad nervous. Thankfully, the staff made me feel very secure and safe throughout the experience. Had a very chatty guide who loves football as much as I do!

I have no complaints about the horse riding venue itself. However, the Tui Rep did not advise me that the ride that I was booked on was for beginners only. Due to this the ride was only walking and there was no trotting or cantering which is what I wanted to do. Please ask your rep to check with the venue and familiarise himself with the content of each ride as they differ.

I enjoyed this excursion it was a great experience. The team paired each person to a horse based on their experience which was good based on the fact I have not rode a horse since I was 9. There was nothing I didn’t like but improve the service maybe offer the horse ride with an option to go round the botanical garden

The horses were well looked after. I was a total beginner and was not left on my own at all The beach walk was beautiful and I even got to see a baby turtle on the beach.

When we arrived back from the 1 hour ride, and where waiting to get through the main compound gates, I asked my guide that I am suffering from heat exhaustion and I need to get off my horse immediately, he then got help from another assistant, they both got me off the horse, I felt very uneasy on my feet, they told me to sit on the small bench. They then got my wife of her horse,she came over to me and I told her I am feeling very shaky and very thirsty, the man in charge said I will be backsoon

Loved the ride, but you should inform any one doing this experience they can’t use a mobile phone to take photos, they need to take money as they take photos and sell them to you . You should also take a drink as none is supplied when you get back. It’s a long way to the beach on the horses and not a long time actually on the beach.

Het zal schillen van persoon tot persoon. Je krijgt een correcte uitleg, zeer mooie paarden. Ze slagen ze wel voor niks. We vonden het kort. Ik en mijn zoon hangde vast aan begeleider, mijn man niet en had een koppig paard. Liepen niet naast elkaar dus praten was geen optie. We staken de Straat over en passeerde lage soms vies water opweg naar strand. We zagen vele e-bike en quads. Er werden Foto’s genomen en we gingen al terug.

Sehr schöner Ausflug nette Mitarbeiter superschnell Anlage. Leider nur sehr kurz am Strand gewesen,der Weg beinhaltet 30min zum Strand und das auch wieder zurück und nur 5min am Strand. Schade hab mir durch die Beschreibung vorgestellt mehr Zeit am Strand zu verbringen. Aber ansonsten alles schön und weiterzu empfehlen wenn man das weiß.

The whole trip from start to finish was amazing the staff do really well, my wife was a beginner and really wanted to do it, they gave her confidence on riding for the first time and she really enjoyed, the views we stunning and felt amazing riding the horse along the beach, the only thing that let it down was the all pictures had to be paid in cash not card so was unable to keep the memories on pictures, was really gut, should mention this in the bio then would have brought cash, it must do :-)

Beautiful, obviously well-kept horses. Good idea of weight restriction for horse welfare. I was a little disappointed as I'd booked as 'intermediate' rider, but all the others were either non-riders or very inexperienced.. It would have been nice to have had a little trotting or cantering but overall very enjoyable.

Absolutely loved this experience guides were very friendly and knew exactly which horses to give us as we had never ridden before beautiful horses gentle & friendly and well looked after the ride was supposed to be for an hr but we actually got one & half would definitely recommend doing this bucket list ticked off

Leuke trip met de paarden, die er goed verzorgd uitzien en ook hun onderkomen ziet er goed uit, zeker gezien het landschap (droog, kaal en dat men veel voer en spullen moeten importeren). Enige minpunt is dat mijn dochter, als ervaren amazone, werd ingedeeld bij de beginnersgroep (terwijl wij haar rij-ervaring wel hadden aangegeven zodat ze eigenlijk bij de gevorderden zou meegaan), die enkel in stap de tocht hebben gemaakt.

The whole experience was great, was very organised and well ran, the people who ran the trail were brilliant and very experienced and we all loved it, amazing experience along the beach with the horses. We brought the photos that were taken by a professional photographer along the ride and they were excellent value for money and amazing pictures. Horses very well looked after

Pick up from hotel was simple and the stables were close by behind the Botanical Gardens. We were each asked about our riding experience, if any, and allocated a horse based on that. I felt very comfortable with my horse Luna and the ride to the beach and the guides were there to ensure we were all ok. Although we didn’t get chance to take many photos ourselves, the photographer who came with us took some amazing ones. We bought the couples package of about 35 photos for €35.

Beginner rider very anxious and was reassured throughout the trip! Eddie was exceptional support. NB - my friend who booked with me unfortunately did not adhere to the weight criteria and was not allowed to ride. However, given that the stables had the animal welfare auditor present that day totally understandable and they ensured she was taken good care of in the tropical garden! Well done to the stable staff??

-weitere Person durfte mitkommen zur Ranch ???? -ein Becher Wasser beim ankommen wäre gut Es sollte angeboten werden in der Tour das Pferd für Kinder selbst zu führen. Natürlich mit Beschreibung (Wüste/Wasser/Schuhe/Fitness) Der karge Wüstenweg sich zieht, aber es ist es ein Erlebnis. Ich finde es nur arg teuer, im Vergleich zum sonstigen Urlaubs- Angeboten an Reiten (Kanaren,Türkei, Griechenland, etc., deutlich günstiger) Es sei den Menschen gegönnt, aber fraglich was dort ankommt.

Absolutely fantastic experience. I’ve always wanted to ride a horse along a beach & as it was my birthday, my husband treated me. Kite beach is beautiful & the horses enjoyed it as much as we did. The guides were very friendly & chatty & we were well looked after. They provided ********** bags for our small belongings which was a nice touch. Bring cash if you would like the professional photos & definitely a bottle of water for afterwards. Maybe they could provide water at the end of the ride?

I became unwell on the way back and needed to stop. As soon as a member of staff new this, he jumped off his horse and rushed straight to me and was very supportive. He provided water and supported me to sit down for a while. He held me all the way back to the stables and provided me with more fresh water. Himself, a member of staff from the botanical gardens and the owner also offered me anything I needed. I was sat in a cool area and he stayed with me until I was feeling better. Thank you!

At 57 I thought any chance at riding a horse would be a No No. I was wrong and felt very safe with my assistant under tether who then offered me to take full control on my own. It was a great feeling and my horse was very helpful as well. Thank you to the team of riders on the day.

Die Guids waren super, sehr hilfsbereit und strahlten absolutes Können aus. Ich habe eigentlich Angst vor Pferden, diese verlor ich sofort , da der Guid auch rührend um mich gekümmert hat. Wir waren einen kleine Gruppe ( 4 Personen ), war auch optimal.
