What to expect
As family days out go, it doesn't get more rip-roaring than Jolly Roger pirate cruise. Adventurers young and old will have a barrel of laughs sailing the high seas between Paphos harbour to Ricco's Bay. There'll be plenty of activities to join in on, including limbo dancing and snorkelling as well as pirate favourites like face painting and walking the plank.The buccaneering spirit is evident from the moment you set foot on the Jolly Roger – the kids can get their faces painted with obligatory eye patches and scars included. At Ricco's Bay, you can go snorkelling or try limbo dancing and – if you're brave enough – walk the plank.After all those exertions, it'll be time to gorge on a buccaneer's buffet lunch. And then, to cap off your adventure, the crew will put on a swashbuckling performance. A great day out for the whole family – with lots of activities to keep the kids busy.

We had the best day our 5yr old loved it if I could give a higher rating I would captain jack and staff was so funny & brilliant with the kids and for 15 euro a speed boat pull up when your at sea the ride on that was worth every penny we loved it the food was lovely and plenty best day out thank you Jolly Roger

The overall experience was excellent, we’d highly recommend, however the transport to the ship was over booked and my pregnant wife and elderly parents had to stand whilst over people had children on their laps, this was a serious health and safety breach on the way there and were lucky there was no accidents

The boat was tiny, didn't even look like a pirate ship. It was targeted at toddlers yet didnt say that in the description. We sailed out for 15/20 mins then anchored up for hours in the blistering sun! The food was stone cold.. it was a terrible trip compared to other pirate ships we have been on in Cyprus, Turkey and Egypt. Overall we would not recommend and feel robbed for the price.

Wonderfully smooth experience from pick up to drop off. The Pirate captain had us adults laughing from start to finish and had a wonderful manner with the children. Great food- a wonderfully refreshing swim in the mist beautifully clear, calm waters and the bar was extremely reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone!

We loved everyone from the team, especially captain Jack, pirate pearl and the acrobats. We felt very entertained, and enjoyed also having some time to relax and sunbathe too. Also it was my daughter’s birthday and the team made a bit of a fuss about her so that was great. The one negative comment I have is that we felt as though the food provided for the lunch could have been better. The wedges were hard, dry and cold and the rice had no seasoning - but this didn’t let our experience down.

I have rated the staff high because the main ‘pirate’ was brilliant with my daughter. The other pirates were great when performing but down in the toilet area they were sat on their phones in full view of everyone. Bit disheartening for the kids when they go down and see it - I do understand the need for break. It would have been great if they interacted with the kids a bit more also. The food wasn’t good

Absolut nicht zu empfehlen! Euch erwartet ein völlig vergammeltes, ungepflegtes Schiff. Deck und Sonnensegel sind voll mit Vogelkot, Masten und Rehling verrotten total, teilweise liegen elektrische Leitungen offen und die kleinen Kanonenattrappen auf dem Vorderdeck sind nicht einmal befestigt. Auch die Bedeplattform und Leitern rosten und splittern übel. In Deutschland dürfte dieses „Piratenboot“ nicht 1m auf das Wasser. Nicht auszumalen, was Kindern auf diesem Boot alles passieren kann…

Overall it was good Something that happened twice and we really disliked it. When the guide on the boat said "boys and girls" and then added "non binary, gender neutral etc". This addition was not necessary and out of order. Because the eldest child on the boat was approximately 8yrs old. And this is not appropriate to shove this kind of liberal agenda and ideology to children and their captive consumers parents who didn't want to have it. Would have rated 10/10 if it wasn't for this incident.

Fantastic day with pirate show and magic show then lots of games for the kids wouldn’t recommend for adults only but my 6 year old loved it. €15 for the dolphin twister when stopped. I was very ill for the whole trip so didn’t see much of it.

Overall we enjoyed this trip and would recommend it for families with young children. The entertainment on board was varied and of a good standard, the buffet lunch was very nice. The boat was clean and tidy with good facilities. The transfer from hotel was excessively early, we sat onboard the ship for one hour before it left and this made the day too long. I was surprised young children were allowed into the sea with no life jackets. Dressing up for kids would have been good.

The whole crew led by Captain Jack were fantastic from start to finish. Very attentive, full of fun and took the time to get to know guests. The entertainment and activities gave something for everyone. We all had a great time and lots of laughs. Highly recommend this trip.

A brilliant day out with the kids! The overall experience on the Jolly Roger is great, there’s non-stop entertainment for the kids to get involved in, face painting and the food was good also. Captain Jack sparrow was great and we loved the acrobatic show. The only thing that let this down slightly was the transfer was 20 minutes late so we were stood in the baking sun waiting for thr bus (standard for TUI experiences)… which also meant we were last on the boat and didn’t get a table to sit at

Excellent trip captain pigeon was a great character & the 2 female pirates. Other staff and crew on board were extremely polite, helpful & welcoming. I only gave it a slightly lower rating due to it being more child based than adults unlike another private ship trip I went on in Tunisia. But would recommend it to others especial if you have young children

Perfect for kids, the staff were amazing and food was really good, drinks reasonably priced as well and there is snacks available to buy too. Only criticism is that they ran out of balloon swords so our 4 year old was the only one not to get one after waiting to be handed one and you can imagine how that went down. It’s frustrating when you teach your child to wait and not push in then they end up last and have to go without. The staff did give her a teddy to apologise though which was very kind

We were thoroughly entertained from start to finish. The whole crew work so hard to make sure we’re all having a good time. Particular shout out to Pirate Jack Pigeon. I’d only book this with kids though. If you’re a group of adults or couples book something else!

Het eten was heel koud en de frietjes de kids waren niet gebakken. Er werd ook iet verteld hoelang we op zee gingen zijn. Daarom gingen we kort even zwemmen maar hadden we er veel langer kunnen inblijven. Het was ook heel gericht op Engels sprekende kids.

Great day! My little girl was 2 and loved it ! Would have been a 10 but the lunch was a little bit of a let down- chips were cold and not a great choice. The fruit was also disappointing but other than that everything was fab, the schedule worked great, speed boat was a great addition and all the pirates were fantastic! Thank you!

The driver on the coach didn’t give us much instructions. We arrived at the port early so was able to find a chair on the ship in the shade. The ship set sail about 11:00 and we returned to the port at 3:00. The crew on board were amazing at keeping the children entertained with songs, dancing, games and face painting. There is plenty of time to swim if you want to. The lunch consisted of chicken nuggets and chips for the kids. There was salad, veg, rice, pasta, wedges and chicken for adults.

Kids liked the magic show and staff were nice and helpful. Paid extra for the speed boat which again kids loved. Tui lady said it would be ok for my limited mobility daughter but there was a sign on ship as entering saying not equipped for disabled. Staff were very good but she only enjoyed show. Unfortunately for me I felt very sick. If you have motion sickness at all it’s not pleasant. However the rest of family mainly enjoyed.

The crew were all very friendly and safety conscious. But the guy who was the main pirate jack pigeon was hilarious. He made the trip for us as he was fab with the kids but also very entertaining for the adults. There was alot to do from swimming face painting pirates games and dancing and singing for the kids even a magic show. Then we got to do a speed boat ride which was extra but worth it as it was a thrill seekers dream. But the kids could also do. Just a really amazing day. Thankyou.

The whole experience was fantastic. I feel like maybe as well as face painting, all the children could have received a medal/ some kind of trophy. Captain Jack Pigeon and Pirate Penny were brilliant hosts and entertainment. Great with our two young kids but also a good laugh for the patents. All the staff who managed the boat and foot etc were very friendly and proffessional. There was a good balance on time with the games whilst sailing and the stop time for swimming and eating etc. We all had a great day out.

Really enjoyable day. Staff were fantastic and entertained the children really well. Lunch was delicious and drinks at the bar very reasonably priced. Plenty of time for swimming, and life jackets available to use if you wish. Our only negative was that the coach left without us… we were walking beside it as it drove off. And we noticed as we walked away to find a taxi, that there was another family with small children they left behind too. And sadly still waiting for TUI to refund taxi cost.

The cruise was good as well as the food, the drinks were reasonably priced. Entertainment was very good and kept the kids amused . I feel that the crew could have more involved by dressing up as pirates as well as acting like pirates instead of have one young lady dressing up as a pirate going around talking to the customers in a normal way and another young lady who just sat at the back of the ship by the bar smoking, then both of them serving the food & doing the sorry excuse face painting.

Het is een leuk uitje voor de kleintjes. De kinderen worden goed vermaakt. Wat ik wel apart vond is dat je een euro moest betalen voor een ballonnen zwaard( 1 euro) wat voor de kinderen ter plekke gemaakt werd en dat de bemanning geen wisselgeld had.

Everything was great on board from staff till the show. but as for TUI team service at Leonardo Laura Beach resort was not up to the standard. We waited for the bus outside the hotel on the highway for 45 min with 7 kids and when we complained, the answer was neutral and even they didn't offer to compensate. I don't recommend to reserve through TUI

This trip was excellent, from beginning to end the service was 5 star, the entertainment was really professional and the entertainers were absolutely brilliant! The food was really good and drinks onboard were only 2 euros. The organisation onboard was fantastic, which made myself and my family feel safe and secure onboard. We will definitely be returning next year!

Das schauspielerische „Piraten-Programm“ war großartig. Die Zauber- und Artistenshow war cool und die Kids wurden gut bespaßt. Beim „Piratenessen“ war für jeden etwas dabei. Für den Preis wird einem echt etwas geboten.

We did enjoy it all but felt that speakers needed to be louder so u knew what was going on where and when as we missed some parts due to not hearing ?? my least favourite part was there was not cap on alcohol for adults and there was a number of rather loud drunk parents who left young little ones unattended, this made me feel quite uncomfortable. I am very much for enjoying a holiday but a trip aimed for kids is not the place

very nice activity but it has a slow start, we waited 1h for the boat the leave. Pirates at that point could do already several small activities, getting to know the kids, just walk around dressed up, tell about the boat, etc ....we were just kept waiting

Entertainment staff were great for the kids with lots of fun games and activities. There was plenty of food at the buffet. The coach journey had too many pick ups & took 50 minutes when going direct only takes 15minutes. We were not even first pick up & spoke to another person that said they were picked up first and it took 90 minutes.

The Jolly Roger Pirate ship looked great! Captain Jack Pigeon was very entertainin. The trip is very much for the children. The lunch provided was generous and simple for fussy eaters; (chicken, potatoes, salad, pasta and vegetables). Walking the plank was a favourite of our eldest son (12 years old) and Dad! Life jackets are provided if required. The Dolphin Twister speedboat escorts the Jolly Roger for a bit, and speedboat rides (€15 per person) are advertised once the ship has dropped anchor

This could have been any other cruise event unfortunately. It was pitched as a whole pirate adventure, with face painting, pirate themed activities for the kids etc. It didn't have any of those things. While the crew dressed as pirates that was it. There was a poor magic show for the kids and limbo dancing neither of which are pirate themed activities. It was simply a cruise out to a bay to swim or snorkel in the med. Disappointed with it and better off taking one of the other available cruises

We arrived at the ship from the coach transfer 1hr and 20mins before the boat left the harbour which meant we had children sitting in the hot sun for a long time with nothing to do. Although we did get good seats as we were the first onboard. I just think it was a little too early.

Catered far too.much for kids only. More music for adults, and better drinks on arrival. Would have been good to include some history too. No idea where we were going either.

Bij transfer vriendelijke chauffeur. We waren wel heel vroeg bij de boot waardoor we een uur moesten wachten voor de afvaart. Dit is te lang voor de kids. Lunch was heerlijk! Acteurs deden het erg leuk! Wanneer je geen zeebenen hebt tip: neem reispilletjes in. Dat hielp bij ons perfect.

What a great day, Kids entertainment was great, had 95% of kids involved with games etc. Parents able to relax, A smooth ride so those without sea legs can enjoy. Where the boat drops anchor is around 25+ meters deep, life jacket available for adults and children. But it was clear a few adults were caught off guard once they jumped in for a swim. Medium to strong swimmers and those used to swimming in the ocean would be fine without a jacket, But would advise others and children to use a jacket.

It was great fun and reasonably well organised. Bus pick up was late. The welcoming cocktails could have been better. Whilst safety onboard was good, once we stopped for a swim - it became chaotic. Swimmers trying to climb off and those stranded trying to get back on. Swimmers had to contend with choppy open water because of the local speed boat ride circling the Jly Roger (you could buy for €15each). Food & entertainment was good. But no second stop for swimmers or face painting as advertised.

This was a great day & the kids (6 & 8) loved it. Lots of games & activities for them to get involved with. Lunch was v good and drinks reasonably priced. Only negative was the length of time to get going, we were picked up at 930 and didn’t leave the harbour until 11.

The staff were all amazing, the entertainment was pure class. The kids and adults all enjoyed! The captain and his mate were fantastic, as was the magician. The food was also very good and drinks snacks reasonably priced. I think instructions on where we were being picked up from could have been clearer and the driver let people on prior to us with prams that blocked downstairs. We had to get to the top deck with bags, a 2 year old and 4 year old whilst he was driving round bends

The entertainment on board for the kids was superb, ensuring all kids interacted and played the games if they wanted too. It was a hot day so I also liked that much if the ship was under cover where the children were sat there was also cool areas below deck for people to sit out of the sunshine. The food onboard was superb, salads, pasta, meat and fresh fruit. I would highly recommend for families with children between 4-10 years.

Thought the trip was good but nowhere near worth the money. The lunch was good but the ‘games’ and ‘entertainment’ on board were poor. The most disappointing bit of the trip was we thought we were sailing to a little ‘cove’ somewhere not out in the middle of the sea just off the main coast. The ‘captain’ was a good showman.
