Join this 2-day tour from Hurghada and discover the highlights of Luxor. Described as one of the world's greatest open-air museums, Luxor is home to many iconic jewels like Karnak Temple, the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and Luxor Temple with the amazing Sphinx Avenue.Day one: you'll start your journey with a drive towards Luxor along the Red Sea coast and through the Eastern Desert until reaching the Nile Valley. After an approximately four-hour drive, you'll stop at the impressive Karnak Temple, a sprawling complex of towering temples, followed by Luxor Temple with the Sphinx Avenue. You'll have time to rest your legs and tuck into lunch before you check in at Hotel Steigenberger or Iberotel Luxor. In the evening, you'll enjoy the sound and light show at Karnak temple, recounting the history of Thebes and the lives of the pharaohs who built sanctuaries, courts, statues, and obelisks in honor of Amun. Back to the hotel in Luxor for dinner and overnight.Day two: check out from the hotel and drive towards Luxor West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings. You'll enter three of its 63 royal tombs and take in the ancient Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut and Colossi of Memnon, two monumental statues of equally monumental size. Next, you'll experience the Nile onboard a felucca, sailing from Luxor West Bank to East Bank towards the hotel. A motorboat is an alternative during windy days. Enjoy a delicious set-menu lunch at the hotel and drive back to Hurghada.

Your entrance ticket to Valley of the Kings includes a visit to 3 tombs excluding the tombs of Tutankhamun and Ramses VI

Please, note that the entrance tickets to the Tomb of Tutankhamun require a fee of around 700 EGP for adults and 350 EGP for children under 12. Entrance fees to the Tomb of Ramses VI are around 220 EGP for adults and 110 EGP for children under 12

Please note that the shared tour option is only available on selected dates. The private tour takes place every day. If you book a private tour for only one person, you must have a minimum age of 12 years. The 6-people private group is open to a maximum of 15 participants

Please note that the tour will be led in English if the minimum number of people for the tour in the other languages is not met

Infants (age 0-1) can join for free

Tour duration and pickup time are simply guidelines subject to change due to operational conditions and your hotel location

Payment at the Valley of the Kings are only available by card

Es war einfach großartig unser Tourguide war die ganze Zeit bei uns und hat alles perfekt organisiert wir konnten sogar unsere Wünsche mit einbringen. Der Fahrer mit seinem modernen Minibus war steht’s Freundlich und hat immer Lächeln gezeigt. Es hat meine Erwartungen mehr als übertroffen.

We thought the pace of the weekend was perfect. We weren’t rushed. Having Mohamed Zaher as our guide meant we could ask as many questions as we liked and stay longer in places if we wished. He was friendly and knowledgeable too. We consistently felt ‘looked after’ by him and our driver Ahmed. We felt the trips itinerary allowed us to visit the places we’d read about without feeling we’d left anything out.

Loved all the cultural bits, our guide was fantastic, but being left at an appalling hotel for an entire afternoon while we awaited the evening Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temple did not justify the price difference between the overnight and the day trip.

Quality of minibus, driver and guide was very good. Communication of our food and drink allowance was misleading and led to arguments with hotel staff. This problem could be removed by giving customers a voucher explaining what they were entitled to.

Limited choice of food at the hotel also basic & tasteless Hotel room was grubby, balcony door wouldn’t close, poor service overall. Tour and guide were amazing, informative and interesting Light/ sound show was dreadfully dull snd quite pointless Communication regarding confirmation of booking through excursions and rep needs improvement, i as a customer should not have to make the arrangements myself.

Our guide Waleed was very knowledgeable and happy to answer all questions. We would have missed a lot of detail without his expertise. We loved Karnak and Luxor Temples and the Valley of the Kings and tomb of Hatshepsut. The part we would not have minded missing out was the sound and light show. Our driver was really excellent and safely got us through all the traffic and checkpoints on two long days for him. Water on bus would be good. Hotel in Luxor great situation but a bit basic.

Our recent trip to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings was phenomenal. Our guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. This trip was extra special because it was our honeymoon. The overnight stay in Steigenberger Hotel was very comfortable and the location on the Nile was just so picturesque. We would recommend this trip to any traveller.

The guide supplied Walid was excellent throughout and knew his subject. The visits to both temples were memorable, as was the light show in the evening. The valley of the kings and the tombs were stunning. Glad that we did the 2 day trip. Negatives were the Steigenberg hotel and the trips to the papyrus and marble establishments, as we felt under pressure to purchase unwanted items.

Our guide moshera melad was superb. She was informative and couldn’t be more helpful. She had everything ready for when we were ready so no waiting or queuing anywhere. First rate all round as was our driver. Steigenberger hotel was very comfortable but the food was bland.

Firstly you need to understand what an amazing guide you have with Mo'men Bebawi. He is well beyond just a guide. His passion for Egyptian culture and Egypt ology is overwhelming. He made our trip the most amazing experience and couldn't do enough for us. He wasted as a tour guide and I hope the company he works for appreciates what an asset they have in him. The driver was also very helpful and friendly and met our every need. The hotel food was fine but bland and uninspiring. Not 5 star
