Guided tour of Gjirokastra's historical sites

During this tour, you'll be accompanied by a local guide who knows all the secrets of the city. You'll start the tour at Cerciz Topulli Square, where you'll get some information about the tour and also learn a bit about the history of the city. Then you continue towards the Old Bazaar, stopping at the Neck of Bazaar, learning a bit about the architecture of it, where you also meet some of the artisans of the town, working with old methods. All products and souvenirs that you will see there are handmade, made of wool, stone, and wood.Then you head towards the Castle, where you spend around an hour and a half. An old castle, 2.5 hectares, filled with history, tragedy and legends which the local guide will explain to you. You'll be 330 meters under level of sea level, enjoying breathtaking views of Gjirokastra, the typical tower houses, covered with grey stone, usually two or three floors. One of the well-preserved Ottoman-style houses is the Zekate house, which is our last stop. This house was a gift from Ali Pashe Tepelena to his accountant, Beqir Zeko. The aim of this tour is for you to experience the unique, magical and friendly atmosphere of Gjirokastra, not just to see the most popular tourist attractions.
