Your first stop is St. Mamas Village in the Troodos mountain range, a charming village designed in an amphitheatric layout. Named after a Christian martyr, it's renowned for Commandaria wine production and is one of the "14 Commandaria production villages". You'll learn about producing this symbolic Cypriot wine and enjoy a tasting.Next is Doros Village, named after the ancient Greek word Doris meaning forest. This traditional village is nestled amidst grapevines and fruit orchards. You'll stroll through narrow lanes, admiring beautifully restored stone houses and experiencing warm local hospitality.After this, you'll head to Katerina Sweets, a local confectionery workshop with panoramic views of the Cypriot landscape. You'll enjoy traditional Cypriot coffee paired with a "glyko" (spoon sweet), while watching the preparation of these sweets behind glass panels.Next, you'll explore the narrow streets of Laneia, a small traditional village. Its white chalky soil provides ideal conditions for growing grapes used in producing top-quality wines.Then you'll visit Monagri Village, nestled against the Troodos mountains. This 'small valley' monastery village since Byzantine times offers an authentic glimpse into village life.Finally, you'll head to Menegros Winery, a multi-award-winning establishment that will introduce you to the principles of making the iconic Commandaria wine.
