What to expect

You will meet your guide and group at the Skaftafell Booking Center, the gray building with the turf roof, near the car park at Skaftafell Visitor Center in Vatnajökull National Park and the adventure is ready to start!Your guide will drive you around 15 minutes towards Falljökull. Once there, you will gear up on crampons, have the security briefing and more information about the amazing phenomenon. It will take around 30 minutes hiking to get to Falljökull, where you will also have the chance to view Hvannadalshnúkur, Iceland´s highest peak.On this tour you will encounter crevasses, moulins, falls and be amazed by the shapes, colors, and textures around you. Don´t forget your camera and hop on this unforgettable tour!

What to remember

Participants have to sign a waiver before undertaking all trips stating that they realize that all outdoor activities carry an inherent risk

The minimum age for participation is 8 years

Remember to bring: Warm outdoor clothing, waterproof jacket, pants, headwear, and gloves. Good hiking boots are essential, it is not possible to fit ice crampons to any other footwear
