What to expect
This combo tour will take you to visit the Monastery of Las Descalzas Reales, followed by a guided walk in the Madrid of the Austrias district.Visit the convent founded by Juana of Austria, decorated with frescoes and many other rich treasures like the tapestries commissioned in the 17th century by the Infanta Isabel Clara Eugenia based on sketches by Rubens.After the monastery, you will head towards the Puerta del Sol for a guided tour of the historic city center. Walk down Calle Postas till you reach Plaza Mayor where your guide will talk about the life and customs during the Habsburg period.Before ending your tour in Plaza de Isabel II, you will also be able to admire a beautiful panoramic view of the Cathedral and the Royal Palace.
