What to expect
A quick hop over the sea from Kusadasi, and you'll find yourself on the Greek Island of Samos. Spend a day at your own pace in Pythagoreio or make your way to another part of the island such as Vathy, with your return ferry, taxes and round trip transfers in Kusadasi covered.You'll dock in Pythagoreio where you can relax on the nearby pebble beach, wander around the quaint harbour or head up to the rooftop pool at Samos Hotel – the choice is yours. Vathy is around 20 minutes in a taxi and here, you can visit the famous Archaeological Museum, browse for souvenirs at the main square,or amble along its cobblestone streets and relax into the island pace of life. Set around a horseshoe bay, you'll be able to stroll along the bustling quayside filled with tavernas and cafés, where you can watch the world go by.After a busy day exploring, you'll head back to Kusadasi by ferry in the early evening.

Die Abholung erfolgte einwandfrei, die Abholzeiten waren viel zu früh, da wir 1 Std auf der Fähre warten mussten bis es endlich losging Um diese Jahreszeit (Oktober) war nicht mehr viel los, nur wenige Restaurants waren geöffnet, s, Shopping viel ebenfalls aus Informationen vom Reiseleiter waren sehr dünn oder gar nicht vorhanden, wenn nur auf Nachfrage oder Google

Leuke boottocht, taxi was netjes optijd zowel heen als terug, ook werd alles duidelijk uitgelegd. Wij zijn in de haven van vathy geweest dat is een mooi rustig stadje met genoeg winkels en ook een aantal speeltuintjes voor de kinderen. En je kunt er heerlijk eten voor een goede prijs.

Wir haben leider an einem Dienstag den Ausflug nach Samos gebucht und auf Samos festgestellt, dass dienstags alle antiken und historischen Sehenswürdigkeiten geschlossen haben. Zudem war nicht klar, an welchen Tagen die Orte Vathi oder Pythagorio von der Fähre angefahren werden. An diesem Dienstag wurden beide Orte von Fähren angefahren. Wir wurden aber ich gar nicht gefragt, an welchen Ort wir fahren wollen, sondern wurden der Fähre nach Pythagorio zugeordnet. Ein Guide war ja ohnehin nicht da.

It’s probably out of your control. The amount of waiting around for tickets, then passport control, then waiting for a ferry to come in. Nobody tells you were to Go. It’s a shambles. You are made to feel like a cattle market. Then you’ve got passport control when you get there. About 4 and a half hours to visit to the island. To do the same coming back. To much waiting around . Would not recommend this trip.

De communicatie rond de excursie naar Samos was niet echt duidelijk. De excursie werd voorgesteld als een begeleide toer wat in de praktijk niet het geval was. Als jonge vader met twee jonge dochters is dit uiteindelijk geen probleem geweest, maar een Engels gezin met twee oudere personen, die minder goed te been waren, strandden hierdoor op de kade van Samos zonder het eiland effectief te kunnen ontdekken. Deze mensen waren eveneens in de veronderstelling van een begeleide toer door TUI.

Samos was prachtig maar de rit naar daar duurde vanaf het hotel 3u30min heen en een dikke 3u30min terug. Eveneens zijn we daardoor maar 5u30 min op het eiland geweest, absoluut niet zijn geld waard. Er werd gezegd dat we 1 uur onderweg gingen zijn, niets vermeld over lange wachttijden aan douaneposten. Tot slot zou er een bus naar hotel terug klaarstaan, half uur gewacht en uiteindelijk zelf taxi genomen en betaald. Gemeld aan TUI, ontkennen volledig en weigeren vergoeding! Vermijden dus!

Wir haben einen Ausflug nach Samos gemacht, es hat uns super gut gefallen. Der Strand,das Wasser, die Menschen,die Stadt einfach traumhaft schön. Unser nächster Urlaub wird Griechenland sein.

Good day out but was given wrong information by TUI. Was told ferry takes 1 hour, it took 1 hour 30 mins. We thought we were getting the faster ferry! Was told ferry back to Kusadasi leaves at 5pm, it left at 6pm. We didn't get back to our hotel until 8pm and was far too late! It took 1 hour to get through passport control at Samos so didn't get into Samos until nearly midday! We were picked up from our hotel at 7am so 5 hours until we got to Samos!

L’île de Samos est vraiment une belle excursion ! Mais l’offre TUI ne présente aucun avantage , le seul service rendu est la prise en charge à l’hôtel … au final facturée plus cher qu’en taxi ! Mieux vaut réservé directement sur le site tilos.com D’autant que le correspondant tui communique de mauvaises informations ( mauvais port d’arrivée) et ne donne aucune information sur l’île …. Samos un incontournable…. A organiser soi-même !

Temps annoncé du transfert: 1h Départ hôtel : 7h20. Arrivée sur Samos 11h30 Des files et des files douanes, contrôle interminable, sur les pubs, couleurs de villages comme à Santorin... pas du tout... rentrés à 20h30, attente des autres pour départ du bus... rentres en taxi... trop long

Vooraf werd goed vermeld dat de wachttijden aan paspoortcontroles lang kunnen duren. Maar al bij al viel het goed mee, enkel bij terugkomst naar Turkije was het wel aanschuiven

Sama wyspa jest piekna, pyszne jedzonko, cisza, spokój. Minusem jest sama przeprawa paszportowa, dluga kolejka w Samos na szczerym sloncu prosi sie o udar.

We didn’t have a guide included in this tour, which was perfect. Beautiful place, picture postcard day out. Might be nice if TUI, had a little map and a few suggestions. We went to see the aqueduct off our own initiative. Found no information, on which port we were arriving at. It would have been nice to have this information beforehand.

De vaartocht was leuk maar op het eiland Samos was niks te doen 1 straatje met winkeltjesen 1 met terrasjes Hier moet je je dan 6 uur vermaken Krijg het idee om zo Samos in stand te houden Ik raad het iedereen af!

Maak van te voren een plan wat je wilt doen/zien. Bij de haven van Pythagorion kun je eventueel een auto huren. Wij zijn in het stadje gebleven en hebben het archeologisch museum + opgraving bezocht (10 euro). Daarna de kerk (mooi!) en het kasteel (gratis). Het blauwe straatje en aan de haven gegeten. Er zijn twee strandjes. De prijzen zijn hoog! Cappuccino 4,-. Het was rustig op de ruime boot heen en terug. Kalme overtocht, je kunt buiten en binnen zitten. Dolfijn gezien!

Wir hatten keinen Service und keinen Guide. Der Bus hat einen pünktlich vom Hotel abgeholt und zum Hafen gebracht. Der Fahrer hat einen zum Ticketschalter geführt, danach war man auf sich alleine gestellt. Durch das Ticket hat man erfahren, wann die Abfahrtszeiten waren. Das wars.

Wir haben einen schönen Tag dort verbracht, allerdings haben die Kontrollen alle sehr lange gedauert. Die Fahrt mit dem Boot hat auch 1,5 Stunden Inanspruch genommen. Informationen was man vor Ort machen kann, wäre wünschenswert gewesen.

Abholung im Hotel pünktlich Fahrer sehr freundlich, dennoch haben mir ein paar Informationen gefehlt wie wann die Fähre losgeht und wann zurück, wir haben es auf der Boarding-Card dann sehen können aber es wäre vorteilhaft wenn es auf der Tui Seite bei dem Angebot stehen würde so circa ein Plan. Wartezeiten bei der Passkontrolle sind nervig vorallem in Griechenland dauert es lange. Ansonsten kann ich es aufjedenfall empfehlen Pythagoras war schön zum erkunden.

Security was extreme, island was great . A bit more information about what to expect when you arrive would have been more helpful eg car hire, trips etc! Tui rep didn’t give change for cost of trip till the end of the holiday and had to be found which we found disgusting!!

Nous sommes arriver dans une partie de Samos vide, un magasin sur deux fermé. Nous avons dû prendre un taxi qui nous a coûter 40 euros pour ce rentré de l’autre côté de l’île. C’est les gens qui habite à Samos qui nous on dit bien confirme que cette partie ou le bateau nous a déposer il n’avait rien. Nous sommes aller du côté de Pythagorius qui est un très beau endroit ce situant à 30 minutes de la où le bateau nous a déposé. Quand nous avons réservé on nous a pas dit que nous devions faire…

Samos war wunderschön. Es hat alles reibungslos funktioniert. Alles in allem war es ein super Tag. Lediglich die ganzen Kontrollen waren nervig. Insgesamt waren es 5-6 Stück. Hat sich am Ende aber gelohnt :)

Wir wurden morgens mit einem Taxi abgeholt, dieses brachte uns zum Hafen. Es gab ihrerseits überhaupt keine Informationen über den Ablauf des Tages,wie man z. B. auf Samos zu dem von Ihnen beschriebenen Fischerdorf Pythagoreio kommt (das man zur Busstation muss,wo sich diese befindet ubd sich ein Ticket kaufen muss ) , oder auch wo das Samos -Hotel überhaupt liegt.

Begeleiding was er niet. Taxichauffeur was zowel op de heen- als de terugweg te laat. Beide keren moesten we best lang wachten totdat we werden opgehaald. Verder was het fijn geweest als we hadden geweten dat 28 oktober een nationale feestdag was. Alle winkels waren namelijk gesloten om die reden. Als er niets te doen is, is een hele dag wel lang op een eiland.

The best part of this trip was the bus ride to the port. The bus driver was very friendly and couldn’t stop cracking jokes along the journey there and back. The boat ride was also great as it’s nice to get off land and see the coast. Samos is a nice place but there is not much to do. There are a few souvenir shops and restaurants/pubs but that’s it. No beach or supermarket nearby. So if you’re thinking of going please research first and get a taxi or something as you have 4h to explore.

Picked up late. 2 hours queuing to get boarding passes, which surely could have been obtained beforehand, and then agony queue through passport control. Finally leave the port to get to Samos with no idea what or where to go when we got there. Plus side is that Samos is lovely to visit. People literally running to get to Kusadasi port, once boat docked, to ensure less queuing time. Transport said it would be better for us to walk as he's waiting for other passengers so a long walk back! Chaos!

Very few problems at Airport at both ends. Outbound flight delayed by about 45mins. Transfers to hotel very efficient and timely. Tui rep needed more training - she did not know how to conduct the welcome meeting. Not enough information about local area, taxi, public transport.
