What to expect
Embark on a full-day tour from Lisbon, immersively exploring the romantic palaces, coastal landscapes, and charming villages that Portugal has to offer. The journey begins in the fairytale town of Sintra, where you'll be guided through the spectacular Pena Palace. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of Portugal’s most iconic landmarks, boasting colourful façades, exotic interiors, and panoramic terraces with views over mountains and ocean. The adventure continues at Quinta da Regaleira, an enigmatic estate brimming with symbolism, hidden tunnels, and secret passages. As you traverse the renowned Initiation Well, your guide will reveal its connections to Freemasonry, the Knights Templar, and alchemical traditions. Following this, you'll have some leisure time in Sintra’s historic centre. Here, you can meander through cobbled streets, browse local shops, sample traditional pastries like Travesseiross or Queijadas, or savour a meal at a local restaurant. The tour then takes you along scenic mountain roads to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe. Here, dramatic cliffs meet the Atlantic Ocean. The day concludes in Cascais, an elegant seaside town that was once a humble fishing village.
