What to expect
Sunday mornings near Salou were made for strolling around the local market and soaking up all the sights, smells and life around the busy stalls. This morning excursion takes you to the largest market in the Costa Dorada where row upon row of stalls are piled high with everything you could imagine.There's plenty of bargains to be snapped up at Bonavista Market, and with hundreds of stalls laden with clothes, shoes, handbags and souvenirs, you'll be spoilt for choice. Pick up some homeware, including pottery and hand-stitched tablecloths, or simply take your time to browse and stroll from table to table.As you browse, you'll rub shoulders with the locals, who come here to buy their weekly haul of fresh fruits, olives and seafood. After a morning at Bonavista Market, you'll then return to your hotel in the early afternoon, just in time to hit the sunbeds.

Lovely trip. Rep was very knowledgeable of the area and what to look for and how to keep belongings safe at the market. Gave lots of information on the history of the area and information on the surrounding area and places to visit. Highly recommend this trip and will be booking again next year when we return.

Didn't realise the market was so close, very expensive for such a short journey. Will check out before booking another tui excursion. 3 hrs was far too long, everyone we spoke to agreed with us. Guide was very good, but even tho' there was a long queue outside the coach on our return from the market the driver did not open the doors to let us on until the guide returned ( 20 mins )we were left standing in sweltering conditions until she returned. We all had several bites that night. Shocking !!!

Transfer coach to and from hotel was the main reason we picked the experience. But when you arrive it’s pretty much the same stalls selling the same cheap clothes and jewellery with little variation on what’s to offer.

The coach is expensive for only a short distance travelled. The guide, Mike, was lovely though and full of interesting information. The market is brilliant! Loads to look at and at good prices. The trip is far too long though. We walked very slowly (it was over 40°) and bought a few items, browsed many others and still only needed an hour to walk up and down each aisle and see all the market had to offer. 3+ hours is far too long!

Missed the TUI bus pick up as it was not made clear where to get the bus from in the morning. When booking via the app it allowed me to select Hotel Vegas next door which I assumed was the pick up point, but it was Salou Park further up the hill. Would have been better to book the trip with a rep in the hotel, which would have avoided the confusion. But no rep visited Golden Aquao, only Salou Princess which is further down the hill about 1/4 mile away. Made my own way to market which was good.

Our guide Tracey was lovely. The market is enormous and very busy - the later it got the busier it seemed to get too. Theres lots of different stalls - fruit and veg, other fresh produce, honey, clothing, jewellery, electronics, footwear, accessorises, toys and much more. We were warned about pick pocketing so were very self aware but didn't have any issues. This is a known issue for the market & there is security. Lots of ground to cover - wear trainers! We had a great time at this market.

I would not recommend this as an experience for tourists at all . It is a very local market not really suited to tourist. Our guide did explain on the bus but at that stage we had paid our money and were on route, too late to change our minds.

Staff on the coach excellent, the market was good, lots there, the town very run down, not clean, rubbish dumped near pathways,the local cafes by the market not clean and toilet facilities not very good. We were warned by the guide about prolific pick pockets in and around the market which was good to know even though looking around it was evident.

The driver packed the bus on what I can only describe as spare land at the side of a busy road. This was approx half mile from the market. Everyone needed to walk back to the market along a busy road with no footpath. We couldn't cross the road to the footbath as the central reservation was covered in thistle's and long grass/weeds. Cars were beeping at us, telling us to get off the road,and many on the trip felt it was extremely unsafe. Surely there is a safer place or a car park to park

Took over an hour to get there, then we were dropped off approx 300 metres from the market and had to walk in busy traffic as there was no pavement. There will be an accident before the season finishes! Because of this I don't think it is suitable for wheelchair users. The market itself was good.

Didn't enjoy any of the market thought it was rubbish the market by our hotel on Friday was much better. Bought a football shirt to get back to hotel to find out it's just a shirt with a badge super glued on and yes super glued I know it's was super glue as there load of it down the side of the shirt wouldn't recommend this market as waste of time and money

The bus wasn't available until quite close to return departure time. We had been told it would be available right through the visit I'm case my elderly parents got tired and wanted to return early. Also the drop off point was some.distance from the market itself which meant there was a lot more walking for elderly parents than expected.

In all honesty the guide wasn't that knowledgeable when they informed us they had worked for TUI for over 20yrs I expected more about the area or history as the 15 minute drive each way was £14 per person I did expect to be bombarded with information and interesting facts. It is reassuring to have the personal pick up and times ect than use public transport or a taxi but it just didn't have that oomff of a booked trip experiance.

Thanks a lot Yulia. I looking for organic olives oils and she offered me Bonavista market. I am glad to visit it. I have bought a lot of things - organic honey, aromatic oils, olives oil, some presents to my family. There can buy everything clothes, souvenirs, handbags, shoes, spices, nuts, fruits and veg for amazing price. It all from Spanish garden directly, excellent quality. Clothes and shoes are not from hight street just basic. I recommend to visit ;)

Felt this was very much a local market. Not really a tourist market. Lots of food for sale and as we were in a hotel, it wasn’t really a market for us. It was still interesting but it had very little shelter from the heat. Saying that I found the local cafes and bars very cheap to sit in and cool down.

We had a great time at the markets very busy and we were told to be careful with our bags I did feel a bit uneasy there was lots and lots of people around the coach guide was lovely explained everything and give us so much information on everything bus dropped us off and was there to take us home again I really enjoyed it

No issue with the trip I guide Theresa is excellent,But be aware of the pick pocket s I was very unfortunate to be a victim of them my bag was cut and purse stolen. TUI. reps Aileen was brilliant she was extremely Jekyll as we're the hotel reception staff diet let it spoil my holiday other trips were excellent
