What to expect
The Fundación MAPFRE Recoletos Exhibition Hall in Madrid is a space entirely dedicated to art and culture. Its exhibition area is divided into three galleries which host exhibitions of visual arts, mainly from the period spanning the last third of the 19th century to the post-war era. - Alejandro Cartagena: Ground Rules. Alejandro Cartagena (Dominican Republic, 1977) has built a body of work which, far from focusing on the ‘single moment', is structured around seriality and a multiplicity of perspectives.
- Richard Avedon: In the American West, 1979-1984. Richard Avedon (New York, 1923–2004) combines his celebrated career in fashion with photographic projects of profound social significance, such as "In the American West".
