From ancient ruins to world-renowned galleries, you decide where to dive into Rome’s fascinating past. For the entire 72-hour duration, you also get reduced entry to all other museums and archaeological sites, so you can keep discovering at your own pace.The pass also gives you unlimited access to public transport operated by ATAC, including buses, trams, and metro lines A, B, B1, and C, as well as railways within the Roma Capitale area. Whether you’re exploring iconic landmarks or hidden corners of the city, you move effortlessly and comfortably across Rome. What to remember
Extra fees to be paid on-site:
An additional charge of €2 per person will be applied for online and call center bookings, while reservations made on the same day are free of charge. You will receive full instructions on how to book your entrance to the Colosseum at the Rome Pass collection centers. Please note: visitors who go to the access point without the pass will not be able to access the monument, even if they have made a reservation
Know in advance:
Temporary update valid from December 17, 2024, to December 31, 2025: cards can be collected daily from 10 AM to 6 PM at the new Tourist Infopoint in Auditorium Conciliazione, Via della Conciliazione 4, near St. Peter's Square
For the Colosseum, Roma Pass holders can book in two ways: online (please see how to do it at this website romapass.it/en/FAQ/, at the ordinary ticket offices of the Roman Forum - Palatine, only on the same day (subject to availability) – the ticket office will issue a free receipt indicating the time of entry
To book admission to the archaeological sites of Palazzo Valentini/Domus Romane, contact the dedicated call center or send an email, both provided on the voucher. The call center is open Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Reservations are free, and email requests will be answered within 48 hours. You can book even without having your Roma Pass, but you must provide the pass-holder's name. Reimbursements are not available for theft, loss, or failure to collect your Roma Pass. If the card malfunctions, visit the nearest Tourist Information Point to resolve technical issues or exchange it if needed
Please note that museums are usually closed on Mondays (with the exception of the Colosseum, Traiano Market, Capitoline Museum, Ara Pacis Museum and the Baths of Caracalla). Museums are usually closed on 25 December, 1 January and 1 May. Please always check the closing times and days on the official website of the museum you intend to visit before planning your trip
At the Colosseum and the Sant'Angelo Castle, holders of the Roma Pass 72 hours have direct access at the security checkpoint, without having to pass through the ticket office. Please note that for reasons of public order, security checks have been intensified and therefore there could be long lines
The pass includes a visit to the archaeological area of the Circus Maximus, the Forum Pass SUPER (Imperial Forum, Roman Forum, Palatine and Villas) and the experiences "Circus Maximo Experience" and "Caracalla 4D" (tour in AR)
Rome Pass holders are able to use the tourist reception services and have free access to the guarded toilets of the new P. Stop network
Admission to the museums, monuments, galleries and archaeological areas of the State is free for all citizens under the age of 18. For EU citizens aged 18 to 25, the ticket is € 2,00. The same concessions apply to citizens of non-EU countries “on the condition of reciprocity”
Admission to the museums, monuments, galleries and archaeological areas of the Civic Museums managed by the City of Rome is free for all citizens under the age of 6
The card must be fully filled out and is non-transferable. It must be shown with a valid ID upon request by the control staff
The card will be activated on your first visit to any site/museum/monument/exhibit or your first trip using public transport. It will be valid 72 hours after activation
Access directly at the entrance of the first site, while from the second site onwards, go to the ticket office to get your reduction
The card is contactless so it is not required to physically insert the card into the card reader but can be held close to it

Het is heel vervelend dat je de Roma Pass enkel in bepaalde punten kunt afhalen. Zo verlies je heel wat kostbare tijd die je anders aan een bezoek kan besteden. We boekten ook het bezoek aan Vaticaanstad via Tui voor zondag 2 juni 2024. Heel jammer was het dat de Vaticaanse musea echter niet open zijn op zondag. Misschien best een functie installeren in jullie boekingssysteem dat je niet kunt boeken als iets niet open is. Zo betaalt voor iets wat niet kan.

I wasn't able to use it anyplace because of the reservation systems in place (not your fault) That was disappointing.
Your system had been hacked and I tried for over 2 hours to buy the pass. It was great to use on the metro and buses, but it would have been cheaper to buy tickets as needed.

I used it to gain entry to the Palatin, Forum, and Nero's Palace, and it could not have been easier.

El trasporte publico deja mucho que desear, viejo, sucio, masificado e impuntual. Incluso te dejan donde les da la gana no donde es la parada. En cuanto a los museos, descuidados y sin información, falta un hilo conductor que te cuente la historia de dichos sitios y obras… muy mejorable todo.
