I had a wonderful experience on the Puerto Plata town tour. The guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about sharing the history and culture of the area. We visited beautiful landmarks, learned about the city's rich heritage, and had plenty of opportunities to take photos. The tour was well organized, informative, and enjoyable from start to finish. I especially appreciated the chance to explore the local culture, architecture, and scenic views.

Besuch von 4 kleinen Unternehmen. Die rum Fabrik war sehr schön, man hätte sie jedoch als letztes machen sollen und nicht morgens. Zigarrenfabrik war interessant aber nicht für uns gedacht (Nichtraucher). Schmuckfabrik hatte interessante Fakten und schönen Schmuck zu guten/entsprechenden Preisen. Stadt und Essen war lecker und schön. Schokoladendabrik war nach dem Mittagessen. Es wäre nicht mehr nötig da es etwas enttäuschend, klein und dessen Mitarbeiter unmotiviert waren

Die Tour begann sehr pünktlich. Der Bus Underdog Fahrer war sehr gut. Der Guide war sehr freundlich. Allerdings war die Sprache und alle Erklärungen nicht in deutsch sondern ausschließlich auf Englisch. Ansonsten war es eher eine Verkaufsfahrt und keine wirkliche Stadtrundfahrt mit Erklärungen über Land und Leute. Daher würde ich so eine Fahrt nicht noch einmal machen und sie auch nicht weiter empfehlen.

Our tour guide seemed to really know the city and shared a lot of experiences to illustrate the culture with interesting stories. The driver did an incredible job navigating a big bus through busy, narrow streets. There was a lot of variety on the tour, lots to see, and many opportunity for taking photos.

I really liked walking and exploring the city with Rosserio and learning more about the history and culture of the Dominican Republic from him. We loved the Rum tour, seeing the fruit market, pink Street, Umbrella Street, and the chocolate factory. We could’ve done without the cigar and jewelry stop but it didn’t ruin our experience. And 5 full stars for the restaurant!!! Best food we’ve had so far here!

A nice overview of the City and culture… guide was very personable, engaging and knowledgeable! The people at all the venues were also great… at the Rum factory, jewelry store and chocolate factory, we learned a lot and purchased items to take home to share with family. We appreciated learning about tobacco and cigar assembly but do not smoke or enjoy the cigar aromas…Lunch was great! We really liked the smaller group and coach! Gracias pars todo! ??

The guide and driver are wonderful. I felt there was too much shopping on the tour. It would have been nice to see some more historic churches and other sites. The old fortress was beautiful. Not enough time allotted to see inside.

Tour wurde mit deutsch sprechenden Guide Mitarbeiter gebucht konnte sehr schlecht deutsch es wurde 90 % auf englisch gesprochen. Es war eine Verkaufsfahrt, von der Stadt wurde so gut wie nichts erzählt.

Diese Tour ist leider eine reine Verkaufstour!!!verlorene Zeit,wo man ewig auf andere warten muss, die was kaufen!Sehr Interessant war der Obstmarkt!Die Rumfabrik eine Enttäuschung, man sieht leider nicht wie er hergestellt wird,sondern einen Kurzfilm!Die Bernsteinfabrik noch enttäuschender,nur aufs verkaufen aus!!Der Guide war sehr nett und man hat alles auf Deutsch verstanden!Wenn uns der TUI Verkäufer gesagt hätte, das es eine Verkaufstour ist,hätten wir uns diese überteuerte Tour gespart!!!!

Es handelte sich um eine reine Veraufsveranstaltung. Es hätte nur noch gefehlt das man Heizdecken angeboten bekommt. Man geht halt davon aus das man eine Rumfabrik und eine Schokoladenfabrik besichtigen kann. Leider hat man nur ganz schlechte Filme gesehen. Die Besichtigung der Festung hätte man bezahlen müssen. Man war 2 Stunden unterwegs um die anderen Gäste einsammeln zu müssen. Leider war der ganze Urlaubstag dadurch versaubeutelt. Der "Verkäufer " von TUI hätte uns darauf aufmerksam mac

Ich wollte Puerto Plata kennenlernen und keine shopping tour durch Rumfabriken etc machen. Dies wurde uns im Vorfeld nicht gesagt, sonst wären wir nie dort mitgefahren. Ein total verschenkter Urlaubstag den man auch noch bezahlen musste.

Der Guide war super und hat viele interessante Infos über Puerto Plata geteilt. Die Fabriken zeigen nicht wirklich die Herstellung ihrer Waren sondern machen hauptsächlich Marketing und bieten Shopping. Ansonsten war die Tour gut, das Essen war lecker.

Klimatisierter Bus, kleine Gruppe. Das war gut. Alles was angeboten wurde, wurde auch so erfüllt. Man hat natürlich das Gefühl,dass es sich um eine Verkaufsfahrt handelt. Bei jedem Haltepunkt wurde man nach der Führung zum Shop geführt. Lasst die Pesos zu Hause. Alle wollen Dollar. Mittagessen war auch gut. Reiseleiter sprach gut verständlich Deutsch und Englisch

Die Tour war insofern sehr interessant, als dass wir sehr viel von der Stadt gesehen haben, leider keine Seilbahnfahrt, da nicht in Betrieb. Die Fabrikbesuche dienten selbstredend auch dem Verkauf von Waren, was nicht aufdringlich war, insgesamt sehr interessant. Das Mittagessen in einem kleinen Restaurant in einem typischen spät-viktorianischen Gebäude war sehr lecker. Unser Stadtführer Rosario war in Englisch, Französisch und Deutsch sehr informativ, sehr sympathisch.Wir waren sehr zufrieden !

Zu lange Reise. Zu viele Touristenziele besucht. Zu wenig von dem Puerto Plata gesehen, das die Einheimischen sehen. Die Seilbahn wird renoviert und kann nicht benutzt werden.

Gefallen: die Hilfe des busfahrers beim ein- und aussteigen war sehr außergewöhnlich.der Reiseleiter war immer sehr um das wohlergehen der Teilnehmer bemüht. Nicht gefallen: bei fabriktour ron macorix war leider keine deutsche Führung, nur englisch und spanisch Der Reiseleiter durfte nicht mit rein . Hat aber im Nachhinein wo wir draussen waren hat er uns in deutsch vieles erklärt.

Besöket på choklad fabriken var mycket kort och väldigt lite att se, besviken. Rom besöket var ok men även där var det för lite tid och för lite att se när det kom till tillverkning, en aning besviken här också, det verkar vara så att företaget bara vill sälja flaskor till besökarna. Annars så var själva Puerto plata staden okej och tui guiden var bra.

Sehr interessante Tour. Allerdings hat es auch etwas von Kaffeefahrt, da Rumfabrik, Schmuckfabrik, Zigarrenherstellung und Schokoladenfabrik natürlich jeweils mit großen Shops ausgestattet sind, wo man Zeit verbringen darf. Schön wäre gewesen, wenn man in der Stadt auch noch eine Stunde zur freien Verfügung gehabt hätte, um sich noch etwas auf eigene Faust umzuschauen. Alles in allem aber gut.

Loved this tour! Wendy (booking agent at the Tropical) was great! Rafael (tour guide) was outstanding! He was proud of his city and it showed in his enthusiasm. He even loaned my wife his umbrella when a sudden downpour hit. Lunch at Casita Azul was delicious, authentic and had great service. Really had a wonderful day and we’ve already recommended this tour to several people.

Whole experience was great. Picked up on time. The mountain cable ride was not available due to repairs/replacement. The guide was very good only his voice was a bit scratchy so couldn't understand everything he said. Other than that the tour was very enjoyable and educational. Thank you.

Man bekommt innerhalb eines Tages sehr viel zu sehen. In dem Zigarrenladen wo man gebracht wird, sind die Zigarren sehr teuer und am Anfang werden nur Zigarren ab 25 Dollar gezeigt, wenn man sagt das es einem zu viel ist, irgendwann haben sie plötzlich auch Zigarren für 15 Dollar das Stück. Das wären jedoch die billigsten. In Deutschland bekommt man Zigarren ab 3-4 Euro aus der Dominikanischen Republik. Bei der Buchung heißt es auf deutsch. Der Guide spricht deutsch, an den stops nur Englisch.

Der Ausflug war abwechslungsreich und mit 6-7 Stunden hatte er genau die richtige Dauer. Die Seilbahnfahrt mit der Besichtigung der Bergparks war faszinierend. Die Stadtbesichtigung hätte länger sein können. Dafür auf eine Fabrikbesichtigung verzichten. Grundsätzlich war das alles interessant. Man darf sich nicht von den Kaufangeboten beirren lassen. Man wird nicht genötigt wenn man nicht will. Unser Guide konnte gut deutsch sprechen und hat viel erklärt. Alles in allem hat es sich gelohnt.

Leider wurde unser Ausflug von Dienstag auf Donnerstag verschoben, mit Abholung an einem anderen Hotel,was schon bei der Buchung nur so möglich war und völlig unverständlich ist.!Nach der Abholung gestern wurde dann als nächstes Hotel das unsrige angefahren, wo weitere Gäste zugestiegen sind. Das hat uns gar nicht gefallen. Wir hätten früh mehr Zeit gehabt und uns den Weg sparen können! Der Ausflug hat uns sehr gut gefallen!

Es war sehr schön , haben von jeder Sehenswürdigkeit etwas gesehen , die Mega Aussicht vom Berg Felipe wunderschön den Besuch im Schmuckladen muss nicht mehr sein für uns persönlich . Sonst war es ein unvergesslicher Tag mit tollen Erlebnissen !!

Der Ausflug war sehr gut und interessant, wir haben viel über Puerto Plata gehört, nervig waren an den einzelnen Stationen, die teilweise sehr aufdringlichen Verkäufer. Auch ein bisschen mehr Zeit auf dem Berg Isabel de Torres wäre auch schön gewesen, um den butanischen Garten anzuschauen, 35 min waren viel zu wenig.

gefallen: Ein bisschen Land & Leute kennenlernen, was wächst au der Dom.Rep., was wird hergestellt. Nicht gefallen: durch Besuch 4 Factory’s (Rum, Bernstein, Tabak und Schokolade) immer mit Verkauf, da bekommt das Ganze einen Touch einer Kaffeefahrt. Allerdings war niemand aufdringlich.
