I thought the tour guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. The bus was late collecting us, which was 30+ minutes sitting in the sun waiting was the only bad thing. El Jem was very good to see, I wish there had been more explanation on some of the rooms downstairs. The mosaic museum was interesting to see the example roman house, I would have liked the guide to show us through the rooms.

We enjoyed this trip. The guide was very knowledgeable which made it very interesting. The only negatives were that the bus arrived 40 minutes late to pick us up and the guide was very pushy on timings.

Great trip. Spotless, air-conditioned coach with friendly driver. Our guide - Sallah - was excellent. So knowledgeable and great at explaining everything. Made it really interesting on the coach and in El Jem. Great tour round El Jem and enjoyed time to walk round by ourselves too. Mosaic museum really interesting too thanks to our guide.

Was meant to be a half day trip. Got picked up at 7am (thanks ho to Royal Kenz hotel staff for allowing early access to restaurant for breakfast) and didn't get back til 14:00. Got 40 minutes at museum and 1hr 45min at the Coleseum. The multiple hotel pick ups added considerably to the travel time. The guide was knowledgeable and obviously knew his country but there was no provision of food or even water in the 7 hours away from the hotel. Coleseum itself was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend

The colosseum itself was fantastic and a must see. The guide was very knowledgeable about the area which made the journey a little more interesting, as well as the colosseum. Unfortunately, it was 45 degrees which didn’t make it a pleasant experience but thus doesn’t take away from the fact we enjoyed the excursion

I loved everything, especially our guide he was phenomenal and gave a personal touch. The only thing I found hard and exhausting was the number of hotel stops we had to make. I understand the fuller the coach the cost is better but we stopped at at least 6 hotels on the way and 2 of those no one got on.

Long transfer several hotel pick ups, on bus for nearly 3 hours, museum very busy and not great information shared. Then walk to actual coliseum in extreme heat, again little information shared. Coliseum is great but feel could have done it cheaper in taxi and paying entry. Rip off from Tui

We didn't like the fact that it took 2.5hours to get there as we picked up from lots of other hotels. The guide was awful. He kept repeating himself and provided very little fact and information. When we arrived at the colosium he told us when it was built and how long it is and thats it and left us. No further info. We'd have been better off getting a taxi

Same comments as for Carthage and Sidi Bou Said tour. Excellent guide, Dr Wassim. Downside was the early start. Very enjoyable half-day tour to see one of best preserved Roman amphitheatres in the world, which also included a visit to a mosaics museum and recently excavated Roman villa.

The time we had collected people from other hotels and got to the mosaic museum most of the morning had gone so only a very short time there and then on to the coliseum felt very rushed on the viewing. Tour guide is very knowledgeable of Tunisia and he really plugged the museum. Lots of facts given. Felt rushed getting back

Der TUI Mitarbeiter, der uns die Reise verkauft hat, war leider nicht besonders freundlich. Es entstand der Eindruck, dass er uns möglichst schnell abfertigen wollte. Für die Halbtagestour wurde eine geführte Besichtigung versprochen. Tatsächlich wurden wir jedoch nur beim Museum und später beim Kolosseum in El Jem abgesetzt. Nach einer kurzen Einführung waren wir auf uns allein gestellt. Für den Preis fanden wir das Angebot enttäuschend. Letztlich war es nicht mehr als ein Transfer.

The trip was scheduled for 7.55am ( we went to reception for 7.45am) which is early, we got up waited in reception for bus it did not arrive, hotel staff were not able to help, Tui staff not on shift till 9am was just advised to wait….. we waited for 45 mins, children wanted to go swim n were not happy waiting, we went to get changed, but then bus arrived at 8.40….. We manger to get changed and rush back on to bus,…. No communication from trip service to hotel, no rep avalible until 9am!

Our bus was an hour late, which is completely unacceptable. I have raised this with the TUI team. The guide was very knowledgeable, amazing language skills. We liked the pace. Would suggest providing a complimentary bottle of water, given the heat. Even if you have to charge another 30p to the ticket price.

The Tour guide was very knowledgeable about the Colosseum and general history about items in the museum. The Tour guide was friendly,polite and enthusiastic whilst carrying out his duties.he time should be shortened in the Colosseum and in the Museum to allow visitors to buy refreshments aswell as merchandise such as the mosaics and items from the market stalls on the half day tour. Tour was fab, about hour drive to El Jem. Had 35minutes at the museum and then 1hr 15 at the colleseum. More time would’ve been great but I appreciate they were getting us back to hotel for lunch. Detailed tour guide and fab morning out overall!

An absolutely wonderful experience. The Ampitheatre itself was one of the highlights of our holiday. The Mosaic Museum was astonishing - who knew that Tunisia has the best Roman mosaics in the world ?? Our Guide was friendly and informative . I would reccomended this half day trip to anyone visiting Sousse.

An error was made when we booked the tour. We booked the welcome tour for 26/04/26 and El Jem for the 28/04/26. On checking our tickets we realised both trips were booked for the same day. We attempted to contact Samiar our local guide to no avail. We sent s message via the TUI app but had no response. We're hoping on recipt of this feedback someone from TUI will contact us to resolve this. Thank you.

Being mislead over the time in the bus. It was 2 hours to get there and 90 minutes back. Anyone with IBS or bowel problems would have an accident on the bus. You need to use a bus with a toilet or be honest with travel times.

This trip was excellent. Our guide, Salah, was incredible with a vast knowledge on a number of topics. Lovely to explore El Jem and the museum. Coach driver (Yassin) was also excellent and you felt very safe when being transferred there and back. All in all, would highly recommend this trip for people wanting to learn more about Tunisian history.

Guide and driver were brilliant with my elderly father and his walker. A bit of a walk from.the parking to El Jem and ramp was a little steep but better than alot of stairs. Mosaic museum was interesting. Great half day trip.

We really enjoyed our visit to El Jem. Our guide, Salah, was very warm, personable and knowledgable. It was good that he didn’t mind people seeing the sights at their own pace instead of just being guided. My only recommendation is that, given the tour has an early start, it would be better leaving most of the coach-journey talk (intro to Tunisia etc.) for the way back, as lots of people wanted to sleep on the way there.

The tour guide Salah was excellent, supplying lots of background information and answering every question given to him. El Jem coliseum is so worth visiting, better than Rome because it's pretty much access all areas (unlike Rome when I visited). My only very slight criticism is that although we were advised the trip was not suitable for people with mobility issues it should be underlined. The steps are very steep indeed.

Great place to see and well worth it. One of the few places to see in this area. Rest including the bizarre or medina etc not really our cup of tea. Half day is plenty. On the down side, the rep told us breakfast would be continental and available at 0630, as the bus arrived to collect us all at 0700. This wasn’t the case. Dining staff didn’t open till 0700, and naturally, the driver of the coach was a bit annoyed and was almost drumming his fingers on our table as we bolted down our breakfast.

The guide was brilliant, very friendly and knowledgeable and chatty. It wouldn't have been as good without his expertise. We saw the coliseum in Rome in the summer so this was a treat, such fabulous history. The toilets were horrendous. This was a shame, as everyone needs them, but I know that's not the tours fault.

We absolutely loved visiting El Jem and the local museum. The local museum was amazing seeing all the mosaics and Roman villas. El Jem Colosseum was honestly one of the best things & the access you are allowed everywhere is just great. Our guide was great. We would of liked our time around the museum rather than being taken around then straight out to the coach. However the two hours of picking up other guests from as far as Monastir was ridiculous and was a huge waste of time and money

There are tour guides who do the job for money. However Faris went above and beyond and you could sense he actually enjoyed being the tour guide and giving all this information and how proud he is of his country. He made the tour. Simple as that.

A very knowledgeable and friendly guide who was able to provide insight into not only the Cooliseum and its history but also Tunisian cultyre more widely. This tour was good but woupd benefit from more time at the site, not easy to appreciate all that history in such a short space of time. I'm aware of the limits but even another 45mins would make improve the experience greatly.

Great excursion and the guide was very knowledgeable. The guide was friendly and gave just the right amount of information. Lots of steps involved with this trip so must be physically fit to be able to manage all the steps.

El Gem was fantastic. Museum likewise. Guide was informative and amusing. Picked up 0720 hrs.returned just after 1300hrs Spent 1.5 hours in amphitheater and and just under 1 hour in museum. Out of a total trip of 5 hours 40 minutes we spent approximately 2 hs 30 mins at the sites and 3 hrs 10 minutes on pickups from other hotels or on the road somehow. Furthermore the trip cost 240 dinar . Entry to the sites were included but the cost would have been 18 dinar had we made our own way there. .
