In a country as bursting with wildlife as Sri Lanka, it would take something special to stand out from the crowd – but the River Madampe estuary does just that. Take an afternoon glide through the mangrove caves and across the sparkling river as the sun starts to set. This protected area is recognized by the Ramsar Convention of Wetlands and is home to over 17 species of birds and a wide variety of reptiles and amphibians.As you drift through mangrove tunnels and under rickety, wooden bridges, keep an eye out for wildlife – it's prime nature-spotting territory. Monkeys tuck into fruit while perched on overhanging branches, and lizards skim through the water. Enjoy a cup of Ceylon tea on one of the islands – you'll visit ones exclusive to Musement – and mingle with locals.Finally, you'll head to a turtle hatchery where you'll get to meet some rescued hatchlings, saved from the sea. These turtle hatcheries are crucial for the conservation of these endangered creatures, providing a safe haven for eggs to hatch and young turtles to grow strong before being released back into the ocean.

Dejlig tur til skildpadde center, helt uforglemmelig. Turen på Madu floden var lidt skuffende, havde forventet at se nogle usædvanlige dyr, men det kan man jo ikke garantere. Vi havde oprindelig bestilt turen til lørdag, den blev aflyst og rykket til onsdag, som også blev aflyst og rykket til torsdag. Ialt har vi brugt tæt på 4 timer på at vente i receptionen for at få at vide at turen var aflyst. Virkelig dårlig service fra Tui’s side De grinte af os i receptionen, vi følte os til grin

Le + : notre guide au top, visite de l'écloserie à tortues au cours de laquelle nous avons pu voir de nombreuses tortues différentes de très près et même de les toucher. Le - : malheureusement, nous avons aperçu très peu d'animaux au cours du "safari" dans la mangrove. Cela reste relativement cher pour ce que nous avons fait / vu

Den mest fantastiske oplevelse. Vi havde båden for os selv, og vores guide sejlede os ind til krokodiller vi kunne holde, havde helt styr på alle dyrearter.. og viste os kæmpe flagermus og en masse andet. Turen til templet og den lille ø hvor de lavede kanel var også Helt fantastisk.,

On a aimé la diversité de l excursion la découverte d'espèces d'oiseaux et d'animaux, la croisière de 3h sur la mangrove avec découverte de nombreuses îles différentes, temples bouddhiste, petit producteur artisanal de cannelle. Il n'y a rien que nous n'avons pas aimer.
