With some of the highlights of Kos wrapped up in one day out, this adults-only tour showcases the variety of the island. Together with your guide you'll explore Kos town, the Asclepeion ancient site and the village of Zia. A visit to a wine factory and a viewpoint round off the day. Sophia, one of our expert local guides, says "the Asclepeion of Kos was dedicated to Asclepius, the Greek god of healing and medicine, and it was known as a healing sanctuary in ancient times. The peaceful surroundings and the extensive gardens were soothing for patients."Start off with a guided visit to Kos town and its eye-catching harbour with bobbing boats lined up. Next, step back in time at ancient Asclepeion, which remains one of Greece's most important archaeological sites. Here, you'll have free time to explore and imagine Hippocrates, who was born on the island of Kos, undergoing his medical education at the Asclepeion. Among the attractions are the remains of the world's first hospital, where doctors learned about medicine from Hippocrates, and studied how to treat disease. You'll also visit the mountain village of Zia, which sprawls beneath Mount Dikaios and is best known for traditional architecture and wonderful views of the coast. After lunch in a typical restaurant, it's on to taste local wine at a wine factory, and honey in a honey factory. Then, at the end of the excursion, you have the chance to capture amazing photos at Kefalos village at the south part of the island. What is the itinerary for this experience? Man sieht sehr viel in kurzer Zeit. Es idt aber klar auf den Massentourismus abgestimmt. In Kos hatte man relativ wenig Zeit. Die Zeit in Kefalos war verschwendet. Kurzer Fotostopp und die Honig verkostung. Grundätzlich hat man viel von der Insel gesehen umd trotzdem Nichts.

Wir wollten bei diesem Ausflug Kos im aktuellen Zustand kennenlernen. An den langen Geschichten, die sich nur um Kos in der längst vergangenen Geschichte und damit einhergehenden Sagenerzählungen drehten, hatten wir keinerlei Interesse. Die Reiseleiterin leierte ihren Text herunter ohne jedem Unterhaltungswert. Der Ausflug ging unter anderem zu einem Weingut und auf eine Honigfarm, die nur darauf abzielten, dass man deren erzeugten Produkte kaufte. Der Ausflug war insgesamt viel zu teuer!

Die Tour ist gut organisiert und die Tourguidin sehr nett und hat tolle Infos geliefert. Ich hätte mir mehr freie Zeit zum Bummeln in Kos und Zia gewünscht. So hatte man nur Zeit schnell die Touristenstraße längs zu gehen. Aber nicht auch mal abseits zu schauen. Ein großer Minuspunkt ist die Honigverkostung. Hier wird leider von den Touristen Geld ergaunert, in dem mehr Artikel gebongt werden, als gekauft wurden. Das ist in unserer Tour nicht nur einem passiert und wirkt wie eine Masche.

Manolis was an amazing tour guide, he really made the day unforgettable. The overall schedule was convenient and included a great variety of things to see. The lunch stop was perfect, great food and great view as well. The only negative was perhaps that I expected to go into Kefalos and not just take a picture from afar. Also the honey tasting was rushed so it felt like we were only there to shop for some honey and not really to learn more.

Vielleicht ein Programm weniger bei den Ausflügen , damit man überall ein wenig Zeit mehr hätte . Hatten nur 50 Minuten in Kos zur freien Verfügung , ist einfach zu knapp , beim Mittahsessen auch konnten das schöne Dörfchen nicht erkunden gehen , mussten noch lange aufs Mittagessen warten , dann war keine Zeit mehr 😳

The guide was excellent, very informative with a good sense of humour. This was my first ever excursion and he is the reason I would book another in future. He made the day entertaining and the best day of our whole holiday. For us personally, we would have like more time in Kos Town to explore, although the excursion has a fully packed itinerary, which would appeal to lots of people, we would have preferred to not have the wine and honey tasting and the final photo moment.

Sehr informative Tour. Unser Guide war total super. Man merkte, dass sie ihren Beruf mit Leidenschaft ausübt. In Zia gab es Mittagessen, welches sehr lecker war. Getränke musste man selbst zahlen. Insgesamt war es ein gelungener Tag.

Manos was absolutely amazing! What a knowledgeable guy and great fun! There wasn’t any part of it that we feel we would change! It was such a hot day and the shorter Stops on and off coach was a blessing lol. Fab driver too. Lovely lunch and views at the Restaurant in Zia. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. De tijd na de lunch in Zia had wat langer gemogen. Het foto momentje is afgezaagd, een andere plaats of laten vervallen ( voor meer tijd in Zia?). Reisleidster was goed te verstaan. Een vriendelijke vrouw met heel veel kennis.

Voor 98 euro was dit prijs kwaliteit gezien niet OK. Van Kos zagen we behalve het marktplein zo goed als niks, de oude Romeinse zaken werden besproken tijdens het voorbijrijden op de bus, het middagmaal in Zia was chaotisch en overdreven qua prijs voor de niet inbegrepen dranken, van Zia zelf hebben we niks gezien. De namiddag vervolgens vullen met een wijnproeverij van een half uur en een bezoek aan een honing bedrijf van 20 minuten is niet echt verrijkend. Gevolg: auto huren in het vervolg

We were advised on booking the tour that the maximum number of people on the coach would be thirty and mostly from the UK. This was not the case and we were paired with a party from Germany making a total of approximately 40 people. This developed into organised chaos which spoiled it for us

The guide was fabulous 👌, he was very knowledgeable! Didn't feel enough time was allocated to the town, but it was jam packed day. Wine tasting was sparce so and tour was minimal so not really a proper sell and maybe would skip that for extra time in the village looking around after lunch!

We really enjoyed our day. The only disappointing part was the tour of the honey company. This tour was too much too hurried and we didn’t have enough time to sample the goods and potentially make a purchase. The wine tasting was a much better experience and we purchased some of the wine.

Mooie rondleiding door Kos stad en het Asklepieion met ook bezoek aan wijnmakerij en honingfabriekje met proeverij. Wel vrij druk programma op 1 dag, maar geeft je wel een mooi overzicht van wat Kos te bieden heeft en je eventueel nog zelfstandig wat verder kan ontdekken. Ook de gids is een meerwaarde op deze tocht.

The tour was great we enjoyed being shown all the different sites, and our tour guide was very informative and with the little ear pieces you had you could always hear what was being said. I don’t however think it should be the price it is, at honey tasting you get the most tiny amount we were trying the honey for probably 20 seconds at most. Wine tasting was also very quick. I think you’re mostly paying the wage of the coach driver and tour guide. I still did enjoy; just should be cheaper.

Die Tour an sich war schön, allerdings war es zu durchgetaktet. An den einzelnen Stationen gab es zu wenig Zeit um sich umzuschauen. Beispiel: im Asklepion wurde viel Wissenswertes erzählt, aber danach hatten wir nur ca. 30min Zeit uns die restliche Anlage anzuschauen. Es hat nur gereicht um zur 3 Ebene hoch zulaufen, Fotos zu machen und dann mussten wir sofort wieder Richtung Bus. Das kleine Museum mussten wir auslassen. Der Zeitdruck war bei allen Stationen da und das war unschön.

Die Tour war hervorragend geführt, Reiseleitung war perfekt. Es war ein tolles und sehr vielfältiges Programm. Mittagessen war sehr gut.

Sehr fundierte und informative Reiseleiterin! Zeit für die Wein- und Honigverkostung etwas zu kurz. Eine Pause zum Hinsetzen für ein Getränk wäre begrüßenswert gewesen. Auch für das Bergdorf Zia könnte mehr Zeit eingeplant werden. Ansonsten sehr aufschlussreich und waren wirklich die Highlights von Kos zu sehen.

Wir hatten leider das Pech das der Bus beim zweiten Stopp wegen eines Technischen defektes ausgefallen ist und wir ca. 45 Minuten auf den Ersatz Bus warten mussten , diese Zeit fehlte dann leider insgesamt bei diesem Ausflug . Der Guide war super und hat viele Interessante Infos geliefert .

Die führende Mitarbeiterin war sehr kompetent ,freundlich und mitteilsam. Es kann von allen Punkten nur ein kurzer Anriss sein. Mehr Kos Stadt !! Auf die Weinprobe und die Honigverkostung hätten wir gern verzichtet. Zuletzt ein Foto stop von der Hauptdtaße auf Zia war ebenfalls überflüssig.

Die Tourführerin Toula ear herausragend. Sie hat ein enormes Wissen und hat uns die Insel Kos geschichtlich sehr gut erklärt.

We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. It was very planned and provided a really good authentic experience of Kos. Our tour guide Manolis was excellent and we learnt so much about this beautiful island and Greece.
