It's just a two-hour ferry ride away from Rhodes, but a visit to Chalki feels like a trip back in time. Rugged and arid, it's the smallest inhabited island in the Dodecanese. The only village, Emporio, is all pastel-coloured cascading down to the waterfront. Enjoy free time to mingle with the friendly locals, swim in a secluded beach or take selfies by the dinky chapels dotted throughout the island.

Journée relaxante et tranquillité, excellente nourriture. Le personnel a bord du bateaux extra désagréable,il faudrait peut-être leurs rappeler qu'un sourire et un peu de politesse c'est gratuit,et que sans les touristes qu'ils retournerons à la pêche pour vivre. La guide Irena charmantes et très gentille.

Heel mooi eiland, leuk eens te zien. Buiten het strand (kiezelstenen) valt er eigenlijk niks te beleven. Enkele souvenir winkeltjes maar meer is er niet aanwezig. De weg in de stad zelf of naar het strand is nogal bergop en moeilijk voor iemand die slecht te been is.

Wunderschöne Insel mit einer ganz tollen Bucht zum Baden. Kristallklares Wasser, toller Sand und sehr flaches Wasser. Man kann sehr weit in das Meer hinein, bevor es langsam tiefer wird.

Le bateau était sale. 6h de trajet c'est long, mais c'en valait la peine Tout le reste était tait super . Et l'île un vrai paradis ,une splendeur !

I would definitely recommend this excursion if you want a chilled day on the beach,, about an hours coach to board the public ferry across to the island, there are some lovely restaurants for lunch and the beach is a 10 minute walk away if you would like a sun bed and parasol it is €12 for the day, the island is beautiful as is the beach and the local people are lovely I would highly recommend this trip.

This trip should not be considered if staying in the pefkos area. 2 hour coach travel, 1 hour ferry which had no refreshments meant that arriving from a 7am pick up is not suitable. Than once on the island apart from 2 beaches which had to be paid for and why go all that way to go to a beach that's ready on our doorstep (Lee Beach). Than once a 1hour if slow walking around, the only respite from the sun was to spend time in a bar/ cafe for nearly 3 hours. Than it was the 3 hour return trip.

Chalki is an amazing island to visit, relatively quiet and very peaceful. Locals are so friendly, great cafes and excellent beaches. The time on the island (about 6 hours) is perfect to do a bit of exploring some swimming and have some food. The only thing I would highlight is that the ferry to Chalki (which is 1 hour each way) departs Kamiros port, which is in the south of the island, so can make a long day (1h ferry + 1.15 coach (we was in Rhodes Town, so that’s probably the longest journey))

Bus on time at pickup. Taken to the harbour and escorted on the ferry and time given to return to ferry. Crossing was amazing passing uninhabited small islands. Chalki is a beautiful place. A smaller version of symi and less crowded. Beaches are beautiful. Albeit bit of a climb. Plenty of restaurants on the harbour. I loved it. Boat left on time and was greeted by TUI rep on arrival. A must see place whist on rhodes taken back to my drop off place.

Pickup time changed at 24hrs notice and too late to cancel. Very early start and a long time on the bus. Guide only joined at nearly the last pickup and gave very little information other than where to get a discount on lunch.

Insgesamt ok. Allerdings sollten man den Gäste darüber informieren, dass man jeweils 3 Stunden ca nur in Bus und Fähre verbringt, also 6 Stunden. Und nur 4Std. Tatsächlich der Freizeit Ausflug ist. I h wurde um 7.20 abgeholt (Bus war spät dran) und um 9.15 am Hafen (Fahrt u d Gäste a holen) ca. 10.20 in CHALKI Sonst die Insel erkunden, am Hafen Mittagessen und in der Bucht baden ok. Leitung Eng.+ Französisch.

Nous avons adoré cette journée passée sur Chalki : magnifique image du village à partir du bateau quand on arrive, le petit port charmant, les ruelles à travers les maisons blanches et colorées, les bougainvilliers, la plage a l’eau cristalline…. Un petit coin de paradis d’un autre temps !

Nach einer Busfahrt von ungefähr 1 1/2 Stunden haben wir die Fähre erreicht, die Überfahrt dauerte ca. 1 Stunde und dann hatte man Zeit zur freien Verfügung. Die Punkte in Chalki hätten etwas besser in einem kleinen Infoblatt zusammengefasst und erklärt werden können, aber ansonsten können wir diesen Ausflug empfehlen.

L’île est magnifique et qui plus est un havre de paix. Un port à taille humaine, pas de magasins bling-blings, juste ce qu’il faut de restaurants. Et, quel bonheur de pouvoir rejoindre certaines criques d’eau calme et cristalline a pied en traversant des paysages minéraux magnifiques. Notre accompagnatrice, Ireni, a été la personne idéale pour cette journée. Merci à elle.

Im großen und ganzen war es netter Ausflug. Der Shuttle Dienst zur Fähre hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Der Fahrer war sogar 20min vor der ausgemachten Zeit vorm Hotel. Die einstündige Überfahrt zur Insel war ein wenig langweilig. Das Dorf auf der Insel ist zwar klein aber wirklich sehenswert. Die bunten Häuser und die engen Gassen haben einen eigenen Flair. Der zehnminütigen Fußmarsch zu einer kleinen Bucht mit Sandstrand hat sich gelohnt. Das Essen war richtig lecker.

Pour pouvoir réserver l'excursion, c'était nécessaire contacter votre représentante. Impossible sur le site parceque notre hôtel n'était pas habilité pour la pris en charge et il nous refusait l'achat. Merci à votre collaboratrice Chloé c'était résolu personnellement. Il y a manqué info sur l'heure de départ du ferry.

We had a lovely day at Chalki. However, for us it was VERY long, 2 hours longer than for half the coach. This was because we were the first pick-up and last drop-off. It was a full hour before we had everyone. We left at 6.50 am and eventually returned at 6.45 pm.

Gros coup de cœur pour cette île ! Pas ********** de monde, très jolie île, une plage de sable magnifique avec une eau chaude et transparente. De plus temos de transfert très court à partir du Doreta et temps de bateau de 50 minutes. Nous avons fait la sortie Symi aussi si vous ne faites pas les 2 je vous conseille Chalki.

Très belle île. Malheureusement on n'a ni vu des tortues et ni des dauphins. Il fait très chaud sur cette île et l'eau y est magnifique. Les commerçants sur place sont très sympathiques.

L'île de Chalki est magnifique !!! Nous avons regretté d'avoir dû voyager debout sur le pont par manque de place à l'aller, mais la traversée est très sympa et permet d'avoir un bel aperçu de la côte vu de la mer.

Die Tour selbst war unbeschreiblich schön, der Tourguide sehr nett und verständig, ABER dadurch, dass man sie west auf dem Schif sah, und das auch erst, nachdem ich sie gesucht habe, waren viele Fragen und Unsicherheiten während der Fahrt offen geblieben: kommt noch jemand?Wie lange ist der Aufenthalt, was kann man hier sehen, wo ist der Strand? Sie hat dann auf dem Schiff mir und dann am Hafen alle Fragen beantwortet, und von da an war alles Super! Leider war die auf der Rückfahrt nicht da

Chalki est MAGNIFIQUE ! Si vous allez à Rhodes, vous devez absolument passer par Chalki. Le paysage coloré de cette petite île est chaleureux. Nous y mangeons bien ! Notre guide et référent de voyage Antonios (que d'ailleurs je suis heureuse d'avoir rencontré car il est au top !!! Très gentil et passionné) nous avait conseillé de visiter la plage de Ftenagia Beach et effectivement la mer y est turquoise et translucide ! Petit bonus pour Kania Beach et leur resto sur la plage, vrmt top

Chalki ist eine kleine ruhige Insel. Gastronomie im Hafen ist sehr vielfältig und der Weg durch die kleinen Gassen, mit wunderschönen Häusern, lädt zum Verweilen ein. Nach einem kurzen Weg gelangt man an der herrlichen Sandstrand und dann ab ins Meer. Insgesamt ein sehr gelungener Ausflug. Vielen Dank für den Tipp. Sehr empfehlenswert für Familien ??

Ophaal tijd was vervroegd naar 7.15 uur. Er was niet vermeld dat je corona bewijs en paspoort moest meenemen. Er konden hierdoor 8 mensen niet mee. Verder was de tocht leuk, mooi strandje, en eettentjes in de haven

Wir fanden den Preis etwas zu hoch, nur für den Bus- und Fährentransfer 50 Euro pro Person.
Die Reiseleiterin stellt sich nur kurz vor im Bus und das wars. Allerdings hat es Spaß gemacht den Ort auf eigene Faust zu erkunden.

Das Boot hatte leider Verspätung und es war sehr dicht gedrängt auf dem Boot zu Zeiten von Corona.
Die Insel an sich und der Strand waren sehr schön.
