You'll hit the famous farmers market and wash all your nibbles down with some great wine too. Eat and drink like a local on this tour of the city's culinary hotspots.With your expert guide, you'll bounce street to street sampling the best produce of the island. Try fresh fish and octopus at your first stop before you're shown how to make the local spirit, Poncha. Pass by the bustling farmers market before heading to artisanal chocolate shop, UauCacau, to sample white, dark and milk varieties, mixed with classic flavours of the island like passion fruit and rum.Grab a soft slice of bolo do caco bread on the Fernão Ornelas road then swing by a factory churning out sweet treats like Madeiran honey cake. What's more, all your edible delights are paired with great local beverages throughout. Finally, we'll round off at a Portuguese tea house for a cup of their famous guarana brew. All in all, you definitely won't go hungry here.
