The guide arrived at our hotel in the jeep to collect us. There were already 5 people on board and we were crammed in the back on side way seats then collected another person. It was not comfortable and the jeep had seen better days. On arrival had a pleasant short walk up the gorge, nothing particularly amazing. Then drove to a beach to see where the turtles come to nest and finally a trip to a cove where you could swim if you wanted to. Not a particularly interesting trip.

Onze leuke gids, Enrico uit Limassol, heeft ons uitleg gegeven dat ons zeker zou bijblijven en meerdere haltes gemaakt voor foto’s ook op plaatsen die niet vermeld stonden in de trip ??! We hielden er een leuk gevoel aan over! Enige minpunt was het vele stof ?? maar kan niet anders door de droogte!

Deze excursie schrappen. Zonde van het geld. Het is dat de gids onderweg in de auto interessanten dingen verteld maar de excursie op zich wat je ziet slaat nergens op. Schilpadden niet gezien waar jullie bij de boeking over praten. Hekje met eieren eronder ?? . Schipwrak dat er ligt sorry maar wat is er aan te zien ?? Wandeling door de bergen. Alleen geiten gezien Nou die kan ik op de kinderboerderij ook zien. Gelukkig zaten wij in een jeep met 6 man erin waren jeeps met 10 man opgepropt

Onze chauffeur en gids, Ryan, was vriendelijk en betrouwbaar. De trip was een halve dag, ontzettend leuk en goed te doen met kleinere kinderen. Ryan vertelde veel over natuur en geschiedenis van Pafos. Echt een aanrader als je een korte excursie wil doen.

De trip is erg leuk, we hadden een super leuke gids die onderweg heel veel vertelde maar ook op de plekken waar we stopten veel vertelde! De wandeling in de kloof is goed te doen , en het strand had heel veel afgezeten plekken waar schildpad eieren liggen Helaas geen levende schildpadden gespot maar wel een gezellige ochtend gehad

We liked everything from start to finish, the driver Antonio explained everything about the island while travelling to the Gorge for or first stop and after everywhere we went, it was a brilliant trip we all had a great laugh and plenty of banter. De gids heeft ons enorm verrast met zijn kennis over het eiland! We werden opgehaald in een Landrover en zaten met een klein gezelschap in de wagen. Eerst liet hij ons voorstellen aan elkaar om het ijs te breken, heel goed! Daarna gingen we op pad. Bij de eerste stop legde hij haarfijn uit hoe de ochtend zou verlopen. We hebben genoten van het moois en al zijn verhalen!!

Der Fahrer des Jeep musste gleichzeitig auch als Guide arbeiten, obwohl nach seiner Aussage eine zweite Person dazu gehörte. Ich hatte Probleme sein Englisch zu verstehen. Der Fahrer gab sich aber alle Mühe, uns zu informieren und einen schönen Nachmittag zu gestalten.

There should be more info on the actual walk as we were not informed it is a difficult walk, two of our party have health issues and found the very tough rough terrain difficult to walk and one actually fell over and now had a swollen foot! Very big rocks and slippery streams to cross, even in suitable shoes!

General drive off road was good. Walk up to gorge was difficult, ther wasn't a guide and time given was insufficient if your over 60 to get there and back. Need to be reasonably fit for the exercise without any physical limitations as very very uneven ground and steep in places. The driver was a little temperamental but chatty. an

Gids was vriendelijk, maar gekleed in een oude joggingbroek en t-shirt. Autorit was geweldig, gids ging niet mee de kloof in. Strand bij schildpadden een deceptie. We stonden boven bij de trap, kregen te horen wat zich normaal afspeelt op het strand en hij liet een paar foto’s zien en dat was het. Dat er geen dieren waren wisten we maar dit was heel karig. Strandtent was volgende stop, mooi relax plek maar smoezelig.

The tour guide Jerry was very friendly and knowledgeable. When we said we didn't want to spend time swimming, he came up with an alternative and we went to see something else with the extra time. Maybe a bit more warning about the terrain in the gorge because it is pretty precarious at times!

Als eerste we hadden een geweldig leuke gids, grappig vertelde allerlei dingen over Cyprus. De wandeltocht is goed te doen in de ochtend. Jammer dat niet duidelijk was verteld van te voren dat er in deze tijd geen schildpadden te zien zijn. Dit stukje viel ons wat tegen. De gids nam de tijd voor ons allemaal.

Schlucht ist spektakulär und Steilküste am Ende der Tour war super. Schildkröten Strand ist im September nicht so interessant weil die Nester im August von den Schildkröten angelegt werden

Zeus our driver / guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Good level of information provided without being overwhelming and plenty of opportunities to ask more if you wished. Very clear about safety during the walk and ensured party were ok. Seeing baby turtles helped to the sea was amazing.

A fabulous trip with a really great guide who provided great insight and history of the area, very friendly and funny. Beautiful scenery - the gorge walk and Lara Bay was fabulous. I would comment that this trip is absolutely no good for anyone with mobility issues.

This is not really a vehicle tour and only went a couple of KM's on Akamas offroad paths. Bulk of the tour was spent in transit on tarmac roads or sat in a cafe for a beach stop (we can get a bus or a taxi to a comparable beach). Tour is heavily focussed on ecology (botany/conservation) and less on exploration or natural beauty (i.e. landscape). People are packed liked sardines in the land rover. Company staff were pleasent.

Natuurpark was mooi, schildpadden strand interessant, maar er was weinig te zien. Daarna anderhalf uur op terras of zwemmen en daarna terug naar hotel. Dit vonden wij telang en zonde van de tijd.

Der Guide war sehr freundlich, Es war schade, dass wir in der Schlucht aus Sicherheitsgründen nicht bis zu dem eingeklemmten Stein noch ein wenig weiter gehen konnten. Das wäre das eigentliche Highlight gewesen. Am Ende gab es noch eine ungeplante Zugabe. Wir konnten uns das Schiffswrack Edro III ansehen und ein paar Fotos machen. Das hat sich wirklich gelohnt. Die Verständigung war kein Problem trotz Englisch.

Uns hat der Ausflug sehr gut gefallen, von Anfang bis Ende war alles ein Erlebnis. Also wer zweifelt, diesen Ausflug zu buchen, sollte nicht zögern. Man verpasst wirklich ne Menge, angefangen mit der Jeep Tour, die schon großen Spaß macht bis hin zu den Haltepunkten die eine wahre Augenweide waren. Ich kann diese Tour wirklich uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Danke Tui für dieses Angebot und Erlebnis!!!!!!

Is een mooi gebied, zeker mooi om te zien maar zou het andere aanraden met huur auto te bezoeken. Zo kan je het op je eigen tempo bezoeken en voor 5 personen veel goedkoper. Gids had een erg oude jeep, degene die achter in zaten waren kotsmisselijk en konden niet goed naar buiten kijken. We gingen de kloof maar voor een gedeelte in en moesten toen weer terug. Gids was niet heel vriendelijk en voegde niet veel aan de trip toe aan informatie.

Es war eine tollte Tour durch die wilde Landschaft der Insel. Unser Guide Rick war absolute Spitze. Er hat uns viele interessante Informationen über die Landschaft, Pflanzen, Tiere und auch über das Leben dort gegeben. Wir haben sehr viel gelernt. Echt ein klasse Typ. Das Offroad fahren hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Auch der Einblick in die Akamas Schlucht war atemberaubend schön. Wir empfehlen die Tour zu 100% weiter.

Great tour guide, friendly, helpful and engaging. Trip involved walking on rubble paths around gorge. Would be helpful to advise customers of the amount of walking and to wear trainers or walking shoes. Lara Beach was beautiful. Great to learn about the turtles and stop at Lara Beach cafe. Could have spent more time there.

The akamas gorge tour was very good, but we only had 30mins to swim (including changing and drying and getting a drink). The disappointing part was the "learning about turtle conservation" part. We just parked up on the top of a cliff and looked at some A4 printed sheets, taped up around a hut. There was a bit of talk, but nothing that wasn't written. I felt that for the overall cost it just wasn't value for money. I paid less for a full day tour (not with Tui) and got more out of it.

Rick was amazing!! He was so informative and kept the day very light hearted considering it was a very long day of activities. He was great and couldn't recommend him more. We ended up being in his 4x4 for another trip later in the week and we were delighted that it was him. He is so knowledgeable on everything to do with the trip and we enjoyed it so much. The only problem is that TUI advertise this as a half day trip, expect to be out a lot longer but it is well worth your extra time.

Our guide Rick/Rico was absolutely fantastic and made the trip. From start to finish he took very good care of us all and was very knowledgeable. Loved going to the turtle conservation area even though we didnt see any turtles. If you’re hoping to see them JULY/August is your best bet

The gorge walk was very good as was being in the 4x4 however the beach which was lovely and deserted was very quick flying visit. The rep in the hotel said we would have enough time to go for a swim in the sea. However we did not he also promised changing rooms/huts in the beach this was not the case.

Great last minute experience booked through the TUI app. Our guide was great , picked us up on time from the hotel . Convenient , informative and fun ! Engaging enough not to be awkward with other guests whilst not too forced at the same time . Would recommend , the Avakas Gorge was incredible .

Tour guide rick/rich (can't remember exact name sorry!) was great. Very friendly, welcoming and funny. The jeep ride was extremely bumpy but we found it fun. The views of the gorge were gorgeous and we saw loads of frogs and goats :)

Wirklich eine fantastische Tour, informativ und unterhaltsam. Wir fuhren mit dem Jeep Richtung Avakas Schlucht, unternahmen dort eine geführte Wanderung. Der Führer war super. Unserer Fahrer übrigens auch. Anschließend ging es zum Lara Strand wo wir baden konnten und sich das Schildkrötenprojekt befindet. Es war gerade die Zeit wo sie schlüpfen und so konnten wir zusehen wie sie ihren Weg ins Meer nehmen. Einmaliges Erlebnis. Gegen Mittag waren wir wieder im Hotel.

Really enjoyed the tour guide, the trip itself was amazing, beautiful scenery you wouldn’t see from the road in a coach! Lots of time to swim at Lara bay. Amazing time we had

Autossa kaikille asiakkaille pitäisi olla turvavyö, nyt ei ollut. Rotkoon mennessä oli varoituksia (kylttejä) putoavista kivistä. Yksi kivi tippui rotkossa aivan lähelle. Olisi käynyt huonosti jos olisi tippunut päähän! Etukäteen ei käynyt ilmi, että on tunnin patikointi helteessä. Siitä voisi infota. Ei ole vain rotkon katsominen! Ja että pitää ottaa runsaasti juotavaa mukaan. Uimatauko oli vain 40min! Ei ehtinyt edes kahvilaan. Voisi olla pidempi, edes se tunti mikä oli ilmoitettu etukäteen.

Uitstap in een hele grote groep (verschillende 4x4-trucks die op zelfde momenten stoppen). Daardoor waren we met meer dan 50 mensen om te wandelen in de kloof en moest er vaak gestopt worden om te wachten of om door te kunnen stappen. Ook voor het nemen van foto's was het dus aanschuiven. Dit maakte de uitstap ongezellig. Het schildpaddenstrand was niet echt een meerwaarde. De chauffeur kon amper Engels dus er werd ook niet echt gegidst tijdens de uitstap.

Goede gids had behalve kennis van zaken ook gevoel voor de groep. En leuk dat hij als zuid Afrikaan ook Nederlands sprak Nog n opmerking m'n vrouw heeft een teek opgelopen tijdens de safari

Leider hat auch bei diesen Ausflug die Beschreibung mit der Tour übereingestimmt. Eine Schildkröten Station! Jeder denkt an Tiere die gerettet wurden I vielleicht ein paar freiwillige Helfer die für das Projekt brennen…. Auf Zypern die Station ist ein Bretterverschlag mit 10jahre alten Bilder! Der Strand dazu auch nicht gerade spektakulär. Es war sehr ernüchternd und schade das unsere Erwartungen aufgrund der Beschreibung so enttäuscht wurden.

Great trip for our young family to see some more parts of Cyprus away from the busy resorts without tiring the kids out too much with a full day tour. It lasted about 4 and a half hours in total and as well as the beautiful Lara Beach stop, the walk through the gorge on a well trodden nature trail was the highlight for me to see a bit of the nature of the island.
