Just across the water from Turkey is the Greek island of Kos. Known for its beautiful sandy beaches and classical antiquities, a catamaran or ferry ride will take you to its capital, Kos town, where you'll have the day to explore on your own.Prepare to be charmed by the town, where ancient and modern sit side by side. Dip into the shops and boutiques in the streets behind the harbour or sip coffees in the square, admiring the huge plane tree – it's said that Hippocrates held lessons under it 2,400 years ago. And admire the sea views from the battlements of the 15th-century Knights' fortress. History lovers will also want to see nearby Asklepieion. One of Greece's most important classical sites, its marble temples mark where the world's first hospital once stood.Or if you fancy some R&R, take your pick of the town's beaches. Its shores are laced with sandy sweeps perfect for getting in some sunbathing and swimming before your ride back. And remember, you'll need to cross the borders – sometimes with lengthy security and passport checks – between Turkey and Greece in this tour, so a valid passport or photo ID is needed.

On vient nous récupérer à l'hôtel à 7h20 pour un trajet de moins de 30 min et nous patientons au port plus d'une heure avant d'avoir accès au bateau ! Le trajet est court (+/- 30 min) et le contrôle des documents une formalités. Cependant, lorsque l'on arrive au port de Kos, on ne découvre que des commerces de souvenirs et des restaurants qui vous accostent tous pour manger dans le leur. Toutes les "boutiques" vendent les mêmes babioles et les rues sont sales et dégradées autour du port!

It was easier than I thought it would be , don’t be put off by the reviews. Yes it’s a 3rd party but your collected by a driver, taken to port, go through security leaving, the boat takes 30mins, when at kos you go through passport control and on way back same, but all together took less than 30mins and you have to go through passport control 4 times ! The drivers are waiting for you when you get back , the boat comes back at 6pm, so I would suggest being at the port in kos approx 30mins before

Leuk om een dagje naar Griekenland te gaan en het daar te ontdekken. De trip zelf werd alleen niet door Tui uitgevoerd, maar de reisleiding was wel goed. Ze hielp ons met tips en adviezen.

Alles war gut! Das Essen auf Kos war gut reichlich und vorallem warm was in unserem nicht der Fall ist! Freundlichkeit ist auf Kos sehr gut! Das kennen wir schon waren vor 4 Jahren im Urlaub auf Kos! Alles war gut und seht schöner Tag !

Wir haben den Ausflug inkl. Abholung am Hotel gebucht. Nach über 45 Minuten warten auf unseren Bus haben wir schlussendlich ein Taxi zum Hafen nehmen müssen, da der Bus nicht kam! In Bodrum gibt es mehrere Abfahrtshafen, somit mussten wir mit dem Taxifahrer mehrere davon anfahren. Auf dem Ticket sollte wenigstens die Adresse der Abfahrt stehen. Von einem TUI-Guide war keine Spur, somit hätten wir die Fahrt selbst am Hafen buchen können. Vom TUI-Service haben wir NICHTS mitbekommen! Schade...

Sold a trip that was 30 mins to Bodrum and a 25 min ferry crossing back by 16:00 we ended up out at 06:30 returned 21:00 .. 1hr 15 ew on the ferry 1hr30 pick up different hotels … the driver was never off his phone chasing different people from different hotels on different coaches .. disgraceful trip

Tijdens de pickup zijn we de verkeerde bus ingeleid waardoor we en moesten betalen voor de rit, en bij de verkeerde haven af werden gezet. Daarna nog een taxi genomen naar de goede haven om vervolgens te moeten rennen om onze boot te halen. Ook op de terugweg stond er geen transfer voor ons klaar waardoor we weer met een taxi terug moesten.

Der Reiseleiter hat uns nicht gesagt, dass dienstags die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten auf Kos zu haben. Außerdem gab er uns eine Fehlinformation, wie lange die Transferzeit von Bodrum nach Kos ist (gegebene Info: 25-30 Min tatsächliche Zeit: 55-60 Min).Letztlich war der Rücktransport vom Hafen in Bodrum ins Hotel eine reinste Katastrophe. Ich musste ganz vorne zwischen Fahrer und Beifahrer auf einem Notsitz sitzen.Ich konnte so nach hinten mit den Sitz umfallen. Anschnallen war nicht möglich.

An sich war der Ausflug sehr schön und wir können es sehr empfehlen. Als wir dort waren (Donnerstag) waren die Anstehzeiten auch nicht so lang. Der "Guide" war allerdings nicht existent und eigentlich nur der Busfahrer. Wir haben keine Infos zu Irgendwas bekommen und haben uns alles selbst erfragt. Uns wurde nicht mal gesagt wann wir wieder an der Fähre sein sollen.

Der Mitarbeiter hat uns nur am Hafen abgeladen und nichts weiter erklärt. Man konnte ihn auch nicht mehr fragen, wie der Rücktransport etc verläuft, weil er einfach weg war, nachdem er uns am Hafen abgesetzt hat.

Le centre ville de Kos est très joli mais nous avions demandé un guide que nous n'avons pas eu, nous avions demandé la langue anglaise, le français n'étant pas proposé. Arrivés au port, un guide TUI était présent mais pour un groupe polonais. Il a refusé de nous prendre en charge et nous devions nous débrouiller tout seuls. Prise en charge lamentable, à déconseiller fortement ! Attente ++++ du bateau à l'aller ainsi qu'au retour.. une demi journée à attendre.....

Poor value for money. Basically a bus ride to the port Is all that TUI arranged. We could have taken a taxi and booked the ferry ourselves. Lots of queuing for passports at both ends and waiting around.

In der Beschreibung steht, die Fahrt sei mit einem Katamaran. Das ist etwas irreführend. Man geht von einem Katamaran aus, was ein tolles Erlebnis gewesen wäre. Allerdings fand die Überfahrt mit einem Fähre ähnlichen Schiff statt. Ansonsten wäre die Bewertung top ausgefallen.

Es ist eine Unverschämtheit wie TUI mit Ausflugs-Gästen umgeht. Bei der Buchung im Hotel beim Reiseleiter wird als Rückfahrzeit der Fähre von Kos nach Bodrum 16 Uhr genannt. So steht es beim Reiseleiter im System. Tatsächlich fährt die Fähre erst um 18 Uhr zurück. Um 16 Uhr gibt es gar keine. Man steht stundenlang im Hafen rum. Ich habe das sofort bemängelt. Beim Rep und auch schriftlich in der TUI App und bekam nur völlig ausweichende Antworten.

Gäste sind auf sich alleine gestellt. Aufenthalt war zu lange (09:00-18:00 Uhr). Tickets für die Fähre selbst kaufen ist günstiger weil wir keinen Transfer von unserem Hotel zur Fähre hatten.

Vraiment très agréable cette petite journée à Kos. Tout c est bien passé même si la pluie c est invitée en fin de journée. Nous avons eut de super conseil par la personne à l hôtel qui nous a bien conseillé et qui parlait français ! Ce qui fut vraiment génial pour nous. Merci encore à Done pour tout ce qu elle a fait et elle connaît bien les excursions qu elle propose !

Uns hat der Tagesablauf gut gefallen, vor allem weil er gut organisiert wurde. In der Beschreibung wäre gut zu erwähnen, dass die Fahre im Herbst und Winter nur 2x tgl. fährt (die un 16:00 Uhr entfällt). Wir hatten auch bei den Passkontrollen keine Schwierigkeiten. Zufällig haben wir mitbekommen, dass eine Fahrt die ohne Reservierung mit der Fähre gemacht wird das Doppelte gekostet hätte (der Transfer von/zum Hotel fehlt dann auch noch).

Zu lange Wartezeiten beim Einreise und beim Ausreisen aus Griechenland. Schlechte Organisation. Mit Kinder aber super, da man an den lange Warteschlangen von den Mitarbeitern abgeholt wird. Kos ist eine sehr schöne Stadt und echt empfehlenswert!!!

Es kann bei der Einreise zu sehr langen Wartezeiten kommen, dadurch hat man leider nicht so viel Zeit auf der Insel, wenn man aber weiß was man dort machen möchte für 3-4 Stunden dann ist es gut.

Really good day trip but boarder control needs to be looked at, for the amount of boats that all arrive at the same time, we then had to wait on the boat for over an hour due to having to wait for the queue to go down at boarder control as there is only two kiosk for the two different passport details. There needs to be more than two kiosk in order to deal with the amount of passengers coming out the boats.

Eigenlijk kun je het makkelijk zelf regelen. We zouden om 07:00 worden opgehaald dit is de avond van te voren een half uur vervroegd. We werden opgehaald door een chauffeur om 06:35. Kwamen aan bij de boot om 07:00 en de boot vertrok pas om 08:30. We hebben hier 1.5 uur moeten wachten. Ik heb niemand gezien van TUI. Ook geen informatie hoelaat we terug moesten zijn. Dit hebben we allemaal zelf moeten navragen bij een chauffeur die geen woord Engels sprak. Dus echt hand en voeten werk!!

Ein- und Ausreise waren bei uns an einem Montag kein Problem, trotzdem musste man dauernd warten und immer wieder den Pass zeigen. Alles in allem würden wir es vmtl nicht mehr machen, da man die meiste Zeit mit der „Reise“ beschäftigt ist und es die Zeit auf der Insel nicht wert ist. Kos Stadt ist ein nettes Städchen, aber nichts besonderes.

Kos ist für einen Tagesausflug eine gute Wahl. Schöne Altstadt, interessante Bauwerke. Restaurants und Cafés, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, für jeden was dabei. Großer Nachteil: sehr lange Wartezeiten bei der Ein- und Ausreise. Die Passkontrolle kann Stunden dauern.

Apart from the ticket itself tui had no involvement. A mini van picked us up but the driver spoke no english so no one knew what time we had to be back. Passport control was horrible. We were all treated like animals and it took about 7 hours in total to get through both sides. Tui should have more pull

The transfer is an old bus with no air conditioning which in times like these isnt ideal due to the spread of droplet diseases. You get to customs stupidly early and have to wait for almost an hour and half before leaving. There is no TUI rep telling you information about times back or ideas of what to do in Kos. Apart from this the trip was good, Kos is beautiful. For food visit kyriakos and for drinks Papas is amazing.

Bus kan wel later komen ophalen. 2 uur en 15 minuten van te voren…….. Het inchecken op Kos was een puinhoop. Weten nu wat een asielvluchteling ongeveer meemaakt. Ook weer veel te vroeg in de rij. En als laatste mag je er door. Misten wel info wat je op Kos kunt doen.

Alles via de site gedaan, geen reisleiding voor inlichtingen over tijden excursie, waren laat terug vonden wij, had zeker wel een uur eerder gemogen. Wegens tekorten personeel op schiphol was terugreis erg rommelig en duurde lang. Bij het wachten op Schiphol in het vliegtuig zelf werd niets te drinken aangeboden aan ons (de mensen).

Angefangen von der Buchung, Abholung am Hotel und alles hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Leider bietet die Insel an sich nicht das was wir uns erhofft haben. Falls Sie gerne durch die Altstadt bummlen und shoppen möchten, dann sind Sie dort genau richtig.

Pick up was easy, on time and he waited for missing passengers. Dropped off for the boat across earlier then necessary but was organised from bodrum. Only part which was a mess was getting on and off at kos but that was not organised by the excursion. When we arrived back into bodrum we were told the coach number. Je parle ici du service donner et non de l’île en elle-même. Alors si vous avez le malheur de ne pas arriver au minimum 1h30 en avance au service de contrôle douanier vous aurez une file qui va jusqu’à en-dehors du port !!!!! Ensuite 45m’d’attente Parceque des passager était en retard, pourquoi devons-nous attendre dans un bateau au siège pas du tout confortable pour 4 passagers qui nous juste aucune éducation et voulais juste continuer le séjour sur l’île Plus a dire mais plusdeplaceecrir

Voor Kos is het enkel de busrit en de boot. Geen uitleg aan de douane, je moet alles zelf zoeken . Vermits de Turkse bevolking zeer weinig Engels kan is ze weinig communicatie en moet je zelf met alle middelen het te weten komen wat je moet doen. Mag zeker vernoemd worden bij uitleg van trip want het is enkel vervoer en geen begeleiding of uitleg over Kos zelf. Ik heb al veel gereisd dus ken ik mijn weg maar voor andere kan het verwarrend zijn zeker als je de talen niet machtig bent .

Going to a Greek island is always great however coming from Turkey it should be made clear that hiring a car is a must as otherwise not the greatest of experience. I would also liked the bus that transported us to the hotel/port had vice vesa should come right up to the hotel doors rather than the security gate, the bus was also late by 15 minutes. The boat taking us to Kos are did not take card and only took cash, which was annoying otherwise a pleasant ride.

Info op de app duidelijk. Het hele proces om aan boord te komen duurt lang maar is niet al te dramatisch. Eenmaal op Kos heb ik 1 woord:CHAOS! Er komen 4 schepen tegelijk aan. Eenmaal daar staat er een hok vol met mensen die Kos uit gaan en alle mensen van de schepen staan in de rij om Kos binnen te treden. Een uur in de hitte gestaan zonder overkapping. 1 loket open om paspoortcontroles uit te voeren. Op de terugweg net z’n drama echt vreselijk. Kleine kinderen mee echt niet doen veelste heftig

Auf der Insel ist viel zu sehen und hiermit ist die Reise absolut zu empfehlen. Nur die Wartezeiten auf den beiden Häfen verdunkeln etwas das Bild. Bei der Rückreise hatte das Katamaran eine Verspätung von 1,5 Stunden.

Visiting Kos was lovely however TUI did not do a lot - they simply arranged for transport from the hotel and arranged the payments. We still had to queue to get our physical tickets. Would recommend booking through TUI if you don’t want to arrange yourself, otherwise I would suggest arranging yourself as it’s cheaper.

Alles was leuk ,behalve de douane op kos! 40 graden heel lang wachten opgesloten in een vierkant met hekken erom heen, letterlijk gevangen!! Het leuke dagje kos werd een deceptie wij hadden beide zoiets van wij gaan nooit nooit op vakantie naar Griekenland. Tui kan hier natuurlijk niks aan doen daar waren we zeer tevreden over busje stond mooi op tijd bij hotel en op ons te wachten terug in bodrum top!

Weather was the most enjoyable. The 24hr bar being moved after 2 days to the outside bar furthest from the lobby was my worst experience of the holiday. This was not mentioned until it happened when the announcement went out the bar was closing at 11pm.

was a great day out, quite well organised getting on and off the boat. was slightly worried about the transfer there as there was no warning it would be late. also very confusing of what bus to get back into after arriving back in bodrum - no number or hotel listed to link you to the coach. overall a lovely trip

Top ervaring maar tijd EN plaats van ophalen klopte niet waardoor we een half uur hebben moeten wachten. Ook helaas bij het boeken van de activiteit geen keuze vanaf welke vertrekplaats de boot te nemen. Wij vertrokken vanaf Bodrums wat een uur rijden was vanaf het hotel, turgutreis was maar 20 min rijden en ook hier vandaan vertrekt gewoon een boot naar Kos.
