It's easy to see why the Venetians called Zante the ‘Flower of the East'. This tour takes in some of the island's prettiest villages and the remote Anafonitria monastery, too. And there are local speciality tastings, plus a boat trip to the Blue Caves. Konstantina, one of our local guides, says, ‘This tour has it all – a monastery, the Blue Caves, olive oil and wine. But my favourite part is when guests ask me for more info so that I can share the secrets of Zante with them.'You'll kick off at Bochali lookout point for camera-grabbing views over the Ionian Sea. Next, you'll get a flavour of the Zante countryside with a visit to a family-owned organic olive oil mill and museum. Learn about the pressing process and sample some of their liquid gold. The next taste is a traditional sweet treat in Kampi, a hamlet nestled in olive groves. Then it's on to the 14th-century Anafonitria Monastery, famed for its frescoes. With its rustic stone exterior and rural setting, it's a real blast from the past.In the afternoon, there's a stop for local speciality tastings – wine, honey and more – in a village shop en route to Cape Skinari, the island's northernmost point. Here, you'll hop on a boat to the Blue Caves, one of the deepest points in the Med. Carved into white cliffs, its sea-smoothed walls reflect the azure waters like a mirror. There's also a swim stop, where you can cool off near the caves. What is the itinerary for this experience? The itinerary for this experience is...- 8:30am to 9:00am – pick-up from your hotel - 9:00am to 9:20am – photo stop at Bochali Viewing Point above Zante Town - 9:45am to 10:15am – visit to an olive oil factory in Lithakia with tasting session - 11:00am to 11:30am – visit to the village of Kampi - 12:00pm to 12:30pm – visit the Monastery of Anafonitria - 12:40pm to 1:40pm – free time for lunch - 1:50pm to 2:10pm – short stop at a village to try some local Greek treats- 2:30pm – arrive at Skinari for a boat trip to the Blue Caves- 3:30pm – swim stop after the boat trip (only on hot days)- 4:00pm – leave Skinari- 4:45pm to 5:30pm – arrive back at your accommodation Please note, the times may vary on the day

Kay was amazing giving us lots of information and history of the island we absolutely loved the tasting and sight seeing plenty of photo opportunities and met some lovely friendly locals (where we had to buy the most amazing honey and lovely Christmas ouzo from Demetri) the monastery was so beautiful and peaceful. Had a lunch stop at a family run tavern that do take card (euros needed for the little family honey/wine stop) which was absolutely yum! The blue caves were breathtaking well worth it!

Weather was atrocious so trip should really have been cancelled. Kay did her best to keep us entertained and the coach driver was excellent in such ridiculous driving conditions. Olive press was good and informative and the only attraction that was guaranteed. Monastery was closed down to weather and the blue caves boat trip was only decided on at the last minute - sea was a bit rough so not good for anyone either sea sickness although the boat guys were great and did their best.

Es war ein rundum gelungener Tag. Das Wetter hat zwar nicht so gut mitgespielt, aber Reiseleitung, Busfahrer und alle Anlaufstellen, wie Olivenöl Führung bzw. Restaurant und Bootsfahrt waren top. Ich würde die Tour auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

The guide we had was excellent she not only told us about the places on the tour she was very informative about the island and Greek life in general. The boat trip to the Blue Caves was somewhat underwhelming as we didn't actually go into them to see the blue fluorescence of the rocks in the water.

Aangezien wij wat ook een wat jongere gezelschap waren vonden wij persoonlijk de olijf olie fabriek het minst van de hele tour. er liepen te veel mensen waardoor wij het niet konden verstaan.

Mooie excursie, veel enthousiaste uitleg van Bianca, veel indrukken voor een goed beeld van het eiland. Heel goede en veilige chauffeur. Enig minpunt is de uitleg in de olijfoliefabriek die in het lawaai grotendeels verloren ging.

De groep was veel te groot. Meer dan 60 pers. Wij zaten boven in een dubbeldekker met als gevolg dat wij telkens als laatste de bus uitkwamen en de halve excursie al voorbij was. Bij de olijfolie fabriek hebben we niets mee kunnen krijgen omdat het onverstaanbaar was als je achteraan stond. Hier ligt misschien ook een taak voor de gids om dit in de gaten te houden.

Was een leuke trip, maar de groep was te groot. Beter met 30 of zo Max. Met 60 mensen telkens in en uit de bus neemt tijd in beslag. Ze vragen om zwemgerief mee te nemen, maar je kan zwemmen vanuit de boot en zou je dan moeten omkleden in een kleine visserssloep…??Dus bijna niemand is gaan zwemmen, maar dan moet je dat ook niet meenemen als de optie zo moeilijk is vind ik. Voor de rest wel een mooie dag gehad.

I have lodged a complaint with the Tui rep in our hotel. The boat trip to the blue caves became a very frightening experience as the boat broke down around the caves and two rescue boats had to be called. In quite choppy conditions we all had to clamber across our boat into the rescue boat. Whilst myself and wife stayed relatively calm other passengers were very distressed. The boat was clearly not fit for purpose and put us in some danger.

Opzich een leuke tour. Je ziet het 1 en ander, de hotspots van Zakynthos. Gids doet het goed maar vond haar soms wat zenuwachtig over komen. Wat bij onze groep mis ging was dat wij opgehaald werden en daarna ineens gedropt werden langs de weg. Daar moesten we 20 min. Wachten voordat de andere bus kwam. Helaas was niemand op de hoogte wat de bedoeling was. De tour duurde bij ons wel bijna 10 uur! Was eigenlijk echt te lang. Plus de groep van 60 mensen, is gewoon echt veel te groot.

Leuke excursie waarbij we ook iets van het binnenland zagen. De groep was wel iets te groot waardoor we erg laat terug waren. Teleurstellend vonden we de stop bij de olijf fabriek. De uitleg van het hele proces ging in het Engels en was voor ons niet te verstaan. De aandacht ging daarna snel uit na het verkopen van de producten.

Het is de prijs 100% waard, maar de busrit was lang en vermoeiend.het zou beter te doen zijn als er een paar stops worden geskipped. Totaal duurde onze dag 10 uur! Op de voucher staat dat de lunch niet is inbegrepen maar wij werden wel in een restaurant gezet waar een aankoop min of meer verplicht was. Dat had wel duidelijker gemeld mogen worden, dan hadden we zelf geen brood mee genomen.

Es war leider viel zu wenig Zeit für alles ….nach den blauen Höhlen war es nur noch raus aus dem Bus … Foto … rein In den Bus …beim Mittagessen war eine Stunde Zeit … in einer Taverne mit Massenabfertigung…danach wieder Busfahren mit kurzen Stopps wo man zum kaufen abgeladen wurde oder ein kurzes Foto machen konnte ….es war wirklich die schlechteste Tour ever mit tui …nach 10 Stunden zurück im Hotel mit der Frage was war das bitte …..:-( Schade

Je ziet veel vh eiland en de reisleidster wist ook veel te vertellen. Jammer dat bij de boeking niet staat vermeld dat je moet overstappen op een andere bus vanuit Tsivili. Dan kun je daar rekening mee houden, nu werden we afgezet en verder niks. Wij vonden de groep te groot 59 en n dubbeldekker bus is ook niet aan te raden voor het vele in en uit stappen in de bus. Voor de lunch was het prima georganiseerd. En in de olijvenfabriek duurt de uitleg te lang in t Engels. Was niet te volgen.

Kay was amazing really made the experience. There was one super rude lady who was in the group and Kay handled it well but that aside she was really knowledgeable and made for a great day! There was quite a lot of time spent driving on the coach it could have been nicer to have a few more stops and maybe even include shipwreck beach on the tour and include lunch for the price that was paid

Loved the tastings and the complete tour. Sylvia, our guide was very informative and entertaining too. The lunch stop at the taverna was great, food was excellent and the price was good, no overpricing for tourists needing to eat lunch, so well done to them! The Blue Caves boat trip was good but the sea was a little choppy, so we were glad to have seen them but also glad to get off!! All round no complaints.

Olive oil factory was very interesting. The Monastery is the headline for the tour but only a 15 min stop and not especially interesting. The boat trip is good but the boat and resort are very smelly of diesel. The guide was really good and educated us with her knowledge as a local, but some more quiet time on the coach would have been nice. A choice of restaurants for the lunch break is preferable, though there was nothing wrong with the one we visited.

Het wordt als een zeer speciale excursie aangeprezen maar je zit meer in de bus dan er iets wordt bezichtigd. En de zogenaamde wijnproeverij is gewoon een ordinaire verkoopstop. Al met al totaal het geld niet waard.

Pick up time was as planned, and Kay our guide was very knowledgeable. Loved all the tasting stops! The olive oil factory was super informative, and the olive oil was so nice. At the wine stop, the owner kept giving us more wine, it was our bday week so gladly accepted - had 12 shots of red/white wine between 2! The view at the taverna overlooking the western coast was breathtaking. There wasn’t much to the monastery but it was nice. Ended the tour at the blue caves and a swim stop! Loved it!!

Guide, stop for tastings was over priced and coned as seen body lotion €8 cheaper local to hotel, but was told very best price on island. TUI should check stops for this sort of thing. Wasted €16 on products as over priced crazy. Overall, great way to see island, but feel let down by TUI for not protecting us from over priced products. Feel cheated when seeing locally cheaper by €8 priced bottles and could batter down another €2.

Leuke afwisselende dag waarin je een goede eerste indruk van het eiland krijgt. Bianca praat het enthousiast aan elkaar. Persoonlijk had ik liever meer stops op uitzichtpunten met wat korte wandelingen dan stops bij 'eilandproducten / info en verkoop', maar iedereen heeft zo zijn voorkeuren. Vaartocht van een uur langs de 'blauwe grotten' was top.

Wycieczka ok, rejs lódkami bardzo przyjemny, ale plywanie w morzu niestety nie trwa 10 minut, ledwo weszlismy do wody i juz musielismy wracac na poklad…restauracja z widokiem robi wrazenie ale ceny mocno przesadzone, serwowane dania slabe, nie warte tych pieniedzy.

Le ramassage et changement de bus a l aller et au retour est un peux compliqué et prends bcp de temps. Le choix de restaurant pour midi était parfait. Par contre l arrêt boutique vin et miel était nul. Un peu de temps libre dans les boutiques après du restaurant aurait été plus agréable. Sinon dommage que l excursion ne soit guidée qu en néerlandais. Pourquoi ne pas prévoir de petites. Fiches explicatives en français. Faute d un commentaire en français merci

We liked the Blue Caves , the coffee stop and lunch stop .We were not that keen on the monastery visit ; there are many churches and monasteries in Zante that we had already seen .We were not keen on the tastings either and several people remained on the coach .Would have liked a little longer on the beach instead .The trip to the Olive Oil factory was brilliant .The guide and coach driver were excellent.

We hebben een erg leuke dag gehad. Boottocht door de blauwe grotten was mooi, leuke proeverij van wijn, honing, amandelen e.d, bezoek aan een kerk met klooster, stop voor lunch, stop voor dessert met mooi uitzichtpunt en afsluiten met bezoek aan de olijfolie fabriek. Een vol dagprogramma met een enthousiaste gids. Zeker de moeite waard!

Tour geeft een goede indruk van het eiland. Veel informatie over het eiland en het gewone leven van de Grieken van gids Bianca gekregen. Voldoende stops en leuke proeverijen. We hebben erg genoten. Enige opmerking gaat over het aantal personen in de boot. Met 15 personen in de boot is het wel wat krap zitten. Daardoor is het lastig om te Fotograferen. En al dat moois is zeker een foto waard. ??

Wycieczka bardzo interesujaca i pouczajaca. Pani Bozenka to przemila osoba, przekazala szeroka historie i wiedze na temat Zakyntos. Caly program wystarczyl aby doswiadczyc kultury i kuchni tego regionu. Polecam goraco!

När vi väl hade tagit oss till mötesplatsen fanns det inget att klaga på serviceen. Det som vi upplevde mindre bra, var att vi åkte så nära förbi vårat hotell på vägen tillbaka, där vi kunde ha blivit avsläppta och kunde ha gott en kort promenad. Istället så åkte vi långt ifrån och fick försöka boka en taxi tillbaka som tog ännu mer betalt än den som körde oss ditt.

We had an excellent guide called Kay who told us exactly what we needed to know and didn't go on and on. This gave us time enough to take in the beautiful scenery. We were also given ample time at each of the places we went to , so you didn't feel rushed or bored. We chose this trip as the other we had booked was cancelled but was so glad we ended up on this trip. Highly recommend it.

Bianca was een zeer vriendelijke gids en kon veel over het eiland vertellen. Je komt op veel plekken en dat is erg leuk aan deze excursie. Jammer dat wordt aangegeven in de beschrijving dat je naar het uitkijkpunt in Bochali gaat maar je daar niet heengaat en er wordt niet over gesproken. Achteraf zie ik in de recensies dat dit in juni ookal het geval was. Erg teleurstellend…. Misschien een tip om de tekst aan te passen en het te benoemen in de bus.

De boottocht naar de grotten waren fantastisch, de 2000 jaar oude olijfboom prachtig, de reisleidster was erg goed zeer enthousiast en we zijn veel geweten gekomen over het eiland en de gewoontes

Wij vonden de boottocht erg leuk alleen was deze boottocht niet overdekt dus volop in de zon. En de tocht was in het begin van de tour dat had ik liever later in de middag gehad. Het zwem moment was in dit geval veel te kort. Laat dit dan gewoon weg.

Saw lots of different aspects of the island in 1 day. Well planned and ran to time. Guide was superb. Boat trip and Captain George was a highlight. Olive oil factory tour was very busy and overcrowded which made it difficult to fully enjoy this aspect of the tour.

Leuke uitstap met een super toffe gids Bianca. We vonden het klooster iets minder intressant voor ons wel mooi en de uitleg in de olijffabriek hebben we ook niks van verstaan door het vele lawaai . Maar wel eens leuk om te zien.

Bianca gaf heel veel informatie en zorgde ervoor dat ideeën antwoord kreeg op alle vragen. De excursie is zeer de moeite waard om t eiland een beetje te leren kennen, zodat je hierna zelf de mooie plekjes weer kan opzoeken maar nu het verhaal van t eiland kent.

So disappointed with this trip .. Spent most of the time on the bus .. don’t buy the olive oil as it’s the same as in the supermarkets but double the price !! Booked really just to go on the boat trip but was cancelled ?? so instead they offer you a free coffee … Take you to a restaurant that wasn’t very good ( you pay for) 9 hours to do a trip to olive oil and someone with stalls selling wine and sweets , so basically we paid £80 and was ripped off at the olive oil place , worst trip ..

Wij hebben de excursie “Het geheime Zakynthos tour met klooster, Blauwe Grotten en proeverij van lokale specialiteiten” met TUI gedaan en het was een geweldige ervaring! ?? Onze gids Bianca was perfect: vriendelijk, deskundig en vol enthousiasme. Ze vertelde prachtige verhalen en zorgde ervoor dat alles soepel verliep.
