Fantastische Tour mit tollem Guide. Olga (Guide) hat alles verständlich erklärt und auch Rückfragen stets beantwortet sowie ggf. etwas wiederholt sollte man etwas nicht verstanden haben. Gute Mischung aus Antike, Mittelalter und Gegenwart. Auch wurde die politische Situation stets richtig beschrieben, der richtige Terminus verwendet und nichts beschönigt oder kleingeredet, da Zypern immerhin noch ein illegal besetztes Land ist. Danke dafür! Lernfaktor und Aha-Effekte waren enorm.

Wie haben den Trip in Englisch gebucht, konnten zwar nicht immer, aber doch gut folgen. Die Reiseleitung war hervorragend, und auch der Busfahrer spitze, der mir im Bus vergessenes Handy noch ins Hotel brachte. Es war ein Supertag. Gost Town ist ein Muss.

Przebieg zgodny z opisem, przewodniczka profesjonalna. Zastrzeżenie do programu: myślę że na zwiedzenie Varosha powinno być przewidziane więcej czasu, z przewodnikiem nie przeszliśmy przez wszystkie dostępne dla zwiedzających miejsca, mógłby być przewidziany dodatkowy czas wolny na zdjęcia.

Tour guide Olga was excellent. Knowledgable and passionate about the culture and history. The trip was really interesting and informative about Cyprus. It was essentially a walking tour but that wasn’t made clear in info. I liked this but I think it was a lot for some guests. What I didn’t like was that Tui told everyone to be at pickup point at the same time 8.45 and be there earlier. We were last pick up and therefore waited 45 minutes! It needs to be nuanced as necessary.

Veel pratende gids, met veel eigen persoonlijke verhalen en een niet objectief beeld over alles. De ghost town was indrukwekkend, zoveel leed terug te zien. Waarom dan toch een groepsfoto willen maken bij een verlaten school in een gebied waar zoveel leed is geleden en er zoveel mensen nog last van ondervinden. Deze foto wordt tot overmaat ook nog op social media gezet en is up te loaden. Verder had de gids kunnen waarschuwen voor roaming kosten in Turkije. De plaatsen waren mooi

Leuke tour met goede uitleg. Famagusta ja uitzonderlijk bijzonder en indrukwekkend om te zien en de rest is aangenaam leuk om meegenomen te hebben tijdens je vakantie op Cyprus! Het drankje tussendoor was ook zeker meer dan welkom! Genoeg pauzes en niet te lang blijven hangen bij bezienswaardigheden! Wij raden deze excursie zeker aan!

Complete waste of a day. The guide was bullied along by the tui rep behind us so got a whistle stop tour of salamis with very little info moved on to Famagusta and again guide rushing through any info so walked off an did our own thing with the same issues again in Varosha basically it was no better than a school bus trip being shouted at all day to move along if you like this’s sort of speed through history you’ll be ok if you like a bit more time on the floor an not sat on a coach avoid

Everything was amazing, the only difference I might make is to ensure all attendees knew to bring food or ensure a budget for food when going. This is very minor however everything was absolutely brilliant. Our Guide Olga was brilliant and was extremely knowledgable and answered all questions beautifully.

This trip was fantastic, our guide was wonderful and and extremely knowledgeable as well as a great ambassador for Tui. The trip brought everyone together which resulted with new friendships being born from the tragedy that was there to be witnessed before our very eyes from the trip itself which was a real positive, I would highly recommend this trip to people who enjoy learning about culture, history as well as those who just want to meet like minded people.

The guide was very informative and approachable. It was relaxed and very enjoyable. I have mobility issues and did find someone areas very difficult to manage and was unable to access some of the tour. Maybe adding to your information about the trips regarding the length you will walk and the amount of steps as well as some uneven ground will help people make a choice and avoid confrontation with the guide/ staff at the venues

All the trip was really well organised and Olga was full of very interesting facts and figures. Enjoyed all the stops and had a light lunch at famagusta at a little cafe she tecommended. Had to take our passports for the border crossings, which didn't take long to pass through.

We thoroughly enjoyed this day tour of Famagusta and Salamis. Olga the tour guide was friendly and very knowledgeable regarding all of the facts and kept us all on time. The weather was cloudy during our walk around Verosha (ghost town), which we were thankful for as the day was really hot and sunny. Take a cap n shades!

It was a very good day out. The tour guide was very informative and knowledgeable. She had experiences and was affected by events in 1974 and was able to put a very personal aspect to events in Varosha and cyprus in general during those dark days. Salamis and famagusta was also very good, again she was very knowledgeable and informative. I can't think of anything negative or things to improve.

We were very impressed with the Roman city. We enjoyed the detailed history and how knowledgeable our guide was. She was superb and could answer all our questions. Disappointed we had to find our own way to the pick up point rather than being collected from our hotel.

The tour was very good however the tour guide gave far to much information to process At the first page of information it should say about that there are uneven ground at the baths and steps to allow for people with disabilities to decide if this tour is suitable for their ability with the distance they have to walk and time spent standing while guides speak Overall good tour.

This excursion was fantastic value for money, everything was very well organised and all 3 stops were different with a fantastic guided tour at each stop. The highlight was definitely Varosha. Very hot which can be expected in Cyprus so top tip bring a mini fan!

De reis begon al een half uur te laat. De reisleidster (lidia) was niet vanaf het begin aanwezig. Ze was gekleed als een meisje van 20 (doorzichtige jurk) en haar engels was niet te verstaan. Ze liep zo snel dat wij weinig tijd hadden om foto's te maken. Wij hebben meer dan een uur in de hitte gestaan met de bus bij de grens maar er was geen drinken in de bus te koop. Ook al zorgen ze voor water dan was het al goed geweest. Wij zijn zwaar teleurgesteld gesteld en zullen niet snel bij Tui boeken.

The day started with long wait to get through crossing on way to first part the coach had accident with a cyclist which I would say was a 50/50 on who’s fault it was when u say full day, time spent in host town and old town was not enough time was mostly set for the other parts of trip which I see as missleading this was not value for money also the over hour to get back over to south was too much

There was a lot of waiting around, particularly at the passport checking area, Salamis was ok but we have seen better in other countries. Famagusta is definitely underwhelming as it is basically a disused set of buildings that you can only see from the pathway and there is very little information available. I would recommend that this trip is avoided.

Guide friendly and informative Had to hand over passports and leave with guide/bus for duration of tour which didn’t feel totally safe Price charged by TUI rep we paid in euros at our hotel was more than cost on app and people on the tour spoke of paying different amounts Driver took care to keep bus cool which was appreciated

The day is long but organised well and the guides are very knowledgeable. My only comment is that I was looking to spending time at the ghost town Varosha but this was the last stop of the day so was rushed and we only had 30 minutes which is far too short to appreciate the history. Less time at Farmagusta would allow more time here. If you only want to visit the ghost town then I'd look at the Red Bus tour

Excellent local guide. Thorough explanation of history and background to the sites. Quality of coach and driver. Good pace and timings. Only downside was waiting for first pick up, more than ten minutes late but maybe not Tui to blame. We both came but with skin rashes on ankles and legs despite wearing 3/4 length trousers, socks and trainers from the salamis site we think. Again not Tui fault but an advisory before hand?

Extremely knowledgable and friendly tour guide (Olga). The history of the places visited was explained concisely, without bias and with humour. Driver (Theo) was thoughful and courteous. As advised when booking, some parts of the tour is not suitable for people with reduced mobility. Tour bus seating is a little tight for taller people. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour (which included a visit to Varosha) and would definately recommend it!

The free time in Famagusta and the ghost town were great. Churches were not my cup of tea and the time spent there could have been saved giving more time in the other areas

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Tour nach Famagusta und Salamis mit unserer Reiseleiterin Olga. Sie hat mit viel Wissen, Begeisterung und Humor die Geschichte lebendig gemacht. Alles war perfekt organisiert, spannend erzählt und zugleich sehr angenehm. Absolut empfehlenswert – danke auch an unseren engagierten Busfahrer Costas!

Lite för långdraget med all historia om de olika ställen. Vi skulle ha 2 timmar egen tid på Farmagusta men fick ca 1,5 timme…. Därav väntan på maten tog över en hal timme. Hann inte gå och se något annat ??

The guide was brilliant I think her name was olga. She knew so much about the surrounding area and the history I couldn’t give her enough grace. The tour was on a very hot day and so it was extremely hot but the bus was nice and cool

The pick up was 30 minutes late which was not a good start. Overall the tour was a bit rushed, maybe the monastery visit should be dropped which would allow a little more time in Varosha. The tour guide was not very knowledgeable, unaware of the history of the King George hotel for example. A good tour that with a little thought and research by the tour guides could be excellent.

Very interesting on the history of everything. Would have been nice to grab a coffee instead of juice on 1st break. Would be great if tour guide provided ear pieces, to hear everything she was saying. I missed hearing a lot of the story as I wasn't up close to her, and she spoke walking forwards, so it was difficult to hear. Overall though, thoroughly enjoyed this trip and guide was excellent with her knowledge.
