From 24 August until 21 September the Mauritshuis will be closed due to major maintenance works. During this period The Girl with the pearl Earring will travel to Japan. She will not be on view from 15 August until 5 October.The Mauritshuis is home to the best Dutch paintings of the 17th century from the age of Rembrandt and Vermeer. Situated in the heart of The Hague, the compact and world-renowned collection includes masterpieces such as Vermeer's 'Girl with the Pearl Earring', 'The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp' by Rembrandt, The 'Goldfinch' by Fabritius and 'The Bull' by Potter. See more than 200 pieces by Dutch and Flemish masters on display in the intimate exhibition rooms with silk wall coverings, sparkling chandeliers, and monumental painted ceilings.Download the Mauritshuis multimedia tour to your smartphone to hear about the paintings in the museum (available in English and Dutch). The most important works of art are also featured in the highlights tour (available in 11 languages).Leading Belgian photographer Stephan Vanfleteren let himself be inspired by the paintings in the Mauritshuis. This has resulted in sixteen works, fifteen of which are new, one for each room of the Mauritshuis. In Pentimenti – Stephan Vanfleteren Among the Masters, they hang, stand and lie among their centuries-old sources of inspiration.

The full multimedia tour is available in English and Dutch. The highlights tour is available in Dutch, English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Ukrainian, Russian, Mandarin, Korean and Japanese
A multimedia tour of the collection is included in the admission fee through your smartphone
Your e-ticket allows you to bypass the cash desk. However, these admission tickets do not grant you priority at possible queues outside and in front of the exhibition room
The museum operates on time slot entry. Tickets must be used a maximum of 15 minutes after the start time stated on your ticket. Following your entrance, you can stay as long as you want
Mauritshuis is open from Tuesdays to Sundays 10:00am - 06:00pm and on Mondays 01:00pm - 06:00pm
Participants (age 0-17) can enter for free, but it is mandatory to reserve a ticket
The museum is wheelchair accessible, however, the wheelchair can't be longer than 150cm or wider than 78 cm

Applications pour smartphone très bonne qui permet de naviguer à sa guise.
Et cerise sur le gâteau pour une personne âgée ( 87 ans) possibilité de s’assoir un moment dans beaucoup de salle

My only issue was my mistake. I didn't realize how close you were to the train station. I also didn't know that I couldn't bring my suitcase inside. Maybe put something on your site that suitcases should be left at train station lockers.

Gran bel museo, con opere d’arte di grande levatura. Ottima la disposizione dei dipinti. Solo una cosa mi ha lasciato perplesso: la disposizione delle luci non permette di godere al meglio dei colori: ci sono riflessi ovunque. Anche la luce naturale dalle finestre crea riflessi.

Unfortunstely the audioguide did Not stay in German laguage. It changed to English in many siruations. The groups wish came trough hby a guide had noch loudless audio. That was disturbing.

I had a small suitcase with me which I could not leave and had to walk back to the station to leave it in a locker. You have a place to leave coats and it would have made my visit much easier if I could have left my bag there.
