Leave the beach behind and head for the hills to the mountain village of Zia for the evening. Sitting high in pine-forested Mount Dikaios, it's bagged itself gorgeous views of the island's North coast and across the Aegean to Turkey. And from up here, the sunsets are nothing short of spectacular.Once you're dropped off, you'll have plenty of free time to wander around and admire the scenery. Bring your camera and find yourself the best view point as the sun sinks behind the hills. And bag some locally made goodies like a lace tablecloths or some olive oil or sticky honey in the souvenir shops and roadside stalls.You could check out the village's Byzantine church as well. Later, as darkness falls, pull up a pew in one of Zias tavernas for dinner. Some have rooftop terraces where you can soak up the view, while you eat dinner, just as the stars come out.

Beautiful place with stunning views, just about made it for the sunset. Great little places to eat out and get a drink. Lots of shops and stalls for souvenirs. The only thing I would say is that we arrived at 4.30 and didn't get picked up until 9 which I felt was too long for such a small place. Definitely worth a visit, would highly recommend.

Brak dostosowania godziny wyjazdu do zmiany czasu. Wyjazd powinien byc wczesniej, aby zdazyc na zachód slonca, który jest na ZIA najwieksza „atrakcja „. Autokar mial uszkodzona szybe obok kierowcy, wiec powinien byc zmieniony na inny lub naprawiony.

20€ für einen 1/4 vollen Bus sind unverschämt, zumal wir uns die enge Straße nach oben in dem großen Bus sehr unwohl gefühlt haben. Der Busfahrer war wirklich top. Es gibt dort kaum essen für Kinder außer die sehr zu empfehlende Pizzeria! Auch sind 4h Aufenthalt einfach zu lang

Der Aufenthalt ist massiv zu lange!!! Selbst die Besitzer der Restaurants sagen dass! Es wurde bereits bei TUI mehrfach angesprochen aber ohne Reaktion! Wir saßen bei extrem kaltem Wind 3 Stunden in einem Restaurant- es war windig und dunkel und die Geschäfte hatten geschlossen. Bitte nicht mehr um diese Jahreszeit anbieten !

Zia ist zweifelsohne einen Ausflug wert, der auch in den Abend hinein andauert. Allerdings müsste auch Gelegenheit bestehen, den Ort zunächst bei Tageslicht zu erkunden und die Aussicht zu genießen. Unser Ausflug sah so aus, dass wir erst kurz vor Sonnenuntergang ankamen. Nachdem es kurz darauf dunkel wurde, hatten wir noch dreieinhalb Stunden Zeit bis zur Rückfahrt des Busses, die dann sehr lang wurden. Und anders als andere Gäste wurden wir nicht direkt vom Hotel abgeholt und dorthin gebracht.

Die Aufenthaltsdauer ist einfach zu lang. Preis Leistung stehen nicht im Verhältnis, da ja nur der Bustransfer als Kostenposition anfällt. Dieses Angebot sollte unbedingt überarbeitet bzw. angepasst werden. Der Busfahrer war nicht zur angegebenen Zeit vor Ort.

The timings were wrong, only arriving literally just as the sun disappeared so we didn't make it to the view point for the sunset. The clock change hadn't been taken into consideration for sunset. Had a lovely meal in a restaurant and town is pretty but I feel trip was over priced and we could have just got a taxi and made it earlier so ww could enjoy the sunset and not feel so rushed upon arriving and disappointed.

Beautiful place and the sunset was stunning . The whole area was very nice and peaceful (October ) Had an amazing dinner at the Magic Mountain restaurant . Prices in the shops were reasonable. Only downside was pickup at 9pm , this could have been a bit earlier as we all gathered about 8.30pm maybe just nearer the end of the season make pickup earlier. But overall a lovely trip and would recommend

Man wird abgeholt und wird nach Zia gefahren. Ein Dorf mit sehr wenigen Einwohnern. Da sind Händler die was verkaufen, aber da ist man in wenigen durch gelaufen und man muss fast 4,5 h dort verbringen und ist dort gezwungen was zu Essen. Wenn die Rückfahrt ist, kann man in seinem Hotel nichts mehr Essen. Also eine reine Fahrt um für die Leute dort Geschäfte zu machen.

Don't get me wrong the town of Zia is beautiful but I'm actually so unhappy for 1 the driver was late. 2, we only had 3 hours there. 3, all the shops shut at 8pm which left us standing in darkness waiting on a bus. I would like a refund for this trip as it was abysmal. It's not the towns fault it's the time getting picked up and basically paying £34 to be there for 2 hours. I have never had problems with excursions but I'm not paying that kind of money for a trip that lasted 2 out of 4 hours

Der Tranfer war gut orgenisiert. Leider ist es nicht ersichtlich, wann der Rüchtransport stattfindet. Wir hatten z.B. 4 h in Zia Zeit, was ich persönlich für zu lange halte. Wir bekamen erst bei Ankuft die Auskunft darüber, wann es wieder zurückgeht ins Hotel. Ein weiterer Negativpunkt war, dass der Fahrer gesagt hat Rückfahrt ist um 21.00 Uhr. Er fuhr aber schon um 20.50 los obwohl noch 2 Leute gefehlt haben.. das fand ich bissle frech. Ansonsten ist Zia ein Muss wenn man die Insel besucht.

Geen gids maar was niet nodig, wat een mooie afsluiter van onze vakantie. Heel pittoresk dorpje met witte huisjes en winkels. Lekker gegeten in restaurant Olympia, zeker een aanrader. En spreken we nog niets over het uitzicht. Prachtig!

Chauffören var väldigt duktig och körde säkert både upp och ner till Zia. Fyra timmar var för lång tid tyckte vi, tre timmar hade räckt. Väldigt mycket uppe på Zia går ut på att sälja och det tar bort det ”känslan” lite av Kos.

A beautiful town spoilt by the amount of tourist based counterfeit Shops a few lovely local artists but overall over expensive tourist tat which is a shame…we had food in a lovely restaurant. I got a different idea of what I was going to not what I was expecting.

It was a great way to get to Zia and spend some time there. I wouldn't feel comfortable driving a car on a way back at those bendy roads as there are no street lights so having a transfer was spot on. Zia is fantastic to see.

Helaas geen zonsondergang gezien vanwege het weer. Zouden de excursie dan beter uitstellen. Zia is maar 2 straten groot, met enkele winkeltjes. Zeer toeristisch en druk. 4 duurde echt veel te lang. Toch met het slecht weer. Zonde van het geld want op het strand aan ons hotel hebben we wel al een mooie zonsondergang gezien. Wel een dikke 10 voor de buschauffeur. Vriendelijke man. Vertelde veel over het leven in Griekenland.

Wij waren daar al eens geweest en wisten daarom dat we naast de zonsondergang nu meer tijd wilden besteden aan winkelen dan aan uitgebreid eten. Ook wisten we dat het koud kon zijn en het goed is een jasje mee te nemen. Handig om dit mee te geven aan anderen.

We had a lovely evening trip here. The tourist shops had plenty of things to see, the views were absolutely stunning, and the restaurants were lovely with great food and a welcoming atmosphere. A really enjoyable experience, would definitely recommend! The transfer was about 5/10 minutes late but was all smooth running.

This trip was just a bus ride to and from Zia really. Driver seemed under pressure, tooted his horn and shouted at anyone who happened to get in his way. Zia was a very pretty place and the sunset was indeed spectacular…I’m sure the other 1000 or so people up there thought so too….didn’t expect it to be so busy! We had drinks in Methea and the staff there were lovely and so friendly. I’d wear sturdier footwear and take a light jacket if I went again-streets are cobbled and it got a bit chilly.

Die kleine Dorf ist sicherlich hübsch und einen Besuch wert. Es war uns allerdings maßlos zu überfüllt. Außerhalb der kleinen Gasse musste man ständig darauf achten, nicht von einem Bus oder Auto überfahren zu werden. Die Tavernen waren allerdings sehr authentisch und nett.

We gingen voor de mooie zonsondergang. Die we niet hebben gezien. Het was een chaos bij aankomst, en de beste plaatsen voor leuke foto’s waren dakterrassen van restaurants, maar die waren allemaal gereserveerd. Hierover is bij de reservering van deze excursie niet gesproken. Meer info vooraf was beter geweest.

We spent over 3 hours on a coach there and back, doing pick ups and drop offs at other hotels. We were first on and last off. That should have been explained in advance.

Zia hat uns persönlich gut gefallen, aber wir sind privat, für uns gefahren. Ihr sogenannter Reiseleiter im Hotel hatte schon ein Problem mit der Eingabe unserer Daten. Wir mussten unsere Daten 3x eingeben und zum Schluss hat er den falschen Tag gebucht. Wir wollten am Samstag nach Zia und er gab Donnerstag ein, wo wir schon etwas anderes hatten, haben es aber auch erst später festgestellt. Seine Beratung war bescheiden und nichtssagend, vielleicht einmal besser Schulen.

Bus kwam uur later dan afgesproken, waardoor we te laat waren voor zon ondergang. En na afloop erg laat opgehaald winkels en cafés waren om tien uur gesloten.

Loverly place to visit, very picturesque - perfect for an everning out and to get a taste of the island and Greek food. Everyone very friendly and welcoming - lots of shops to purchase souveniers - reasonable prices and good selection - no hard sellilng. Beautiful - definately recommend.

Bus kwam een uur te laat aan om ons op te pikken. Totaal geen updates langs TUI zijn kant, slechts na meermaals bellen eindelijk te horen gekregen dat de bus technische panne had. Gevolg we kwamen aan in zia nadat de zon onder was. En dus de hoofdreden waarom we kwamen was al niet meer aanwezig. Qua winkeltjes: 1 straat met enkele winkels met identiek dezelfde souvenirs als in Kos. Niet echt de moeite dus om hier 3u aanwezig te zijn. Eten in the village taverne was wel zeer goed in orde!

Tacksamma att guiden Katarina rekommenderade och hjälpte oss att boka bord på sunset balcony. Vi hade tänkt åka utan att boka bord och det hade inte blivit bra. Nu fick vi en fin kväll!

We have now been to Kos with Tui 5 times. We were here in June and now September of 2025. In June and September we had the same bus driver to Zia. Both times we had been advised that we meet back at thw bus meeting point at 9:30pm and both times our driver has started to drice off without us!! We were never late and I checked the time as we sat on the bus it was 9:31pm. Only for a lady recognising us she made the bus driver stop and she came to get us!! The other time my mother made him wait!!!!

This basically a coach ride from your hotel to Zia, make sure you remember your coach number and collection time as the driver did very little to check everyone was back on the coach It was a great little place to visit

Der Fahrer war sehr nett. Wir haben ziemlich am höchsten Punkt gegessen. Und hatten das Glück einen traumhaften Sonnenuntergang zu erleben. Diesen Ausflug kann .an nur weiter empfehlen.

Le coucher de soleil très beau mais l excursion beaucoup trop longue. Coucher soleil : 10 minutes. Présence sur place : 3h30. Zia n à qu une rue, monter et descendre . On sent que c est pour nous faire dépenser un maximum dans les boutiques. Il vaut mieux louer une voiture et y aller soi même

Prompt pick up and pleasant journey up to Zia by coach. TV he time spent in Zia was sufficient to have a look round the beautiful village and enjoy the views of the sunset from a rooftop restaurant. The only criticism I have is that the pick up by the coach on the return was absolute chaos with the amount of coaches and people all congregated on the narrow street. Otherwise a very enjoyable experience.

Varasimme kuljetuksen Zian kylään hotelliltamme oppaan kautta ja hän kertoi koko kuviosta kattavasti ja tämän lisäksi auttoi meitä muissa asioissa. Myöhemmin varasimme Tuin kautta kuljetuksen vielä toiseen kohteeseen, koska totesimme sen hyväksi ja helpoksi tavaksi.

Zia,bei Nacht ist ein wunderbarer Ausflug! Aber es ist immer ein wenig Zeit alles zu sehen!Wenn man zum Beispiel in die schönen kleinen Läden bummeln will oder sich in gemütlichen kleinen Restaurants was Essen und Trinken will.Vielleicht könnten sie den Zia Ausflug auch als Tagesausflug machen?Wir waren einen Tag vorher beim Kos Ausflug wo Zia mit dabei ist.Da könnten wir gerade mal das Essen genießen und es ging wieder weiter.Da waren wir froh dass wir Zia bei Nacht noch gebucht haben.

For mid September it was perfect, not too busy but still plenty of people, shops and restaurants were very good and the time spent there was plenty with prompt pick up and clear instructions

Zia is a lovely place, well worth visiting. The view of the gorgeous sunset we had from magic mountain restaurant was amazing. Lots of little shops , bars and restaurants there

In meinen Augen ist diese Tour völlig überbewertet und unnötig. Sonnenuntergänge sind von jedem anderen Ort ähnlich schön. Und vor allem ruhiger zu erleben.Schlimm, dass der Massentourismus hier soo deutlich zu sehen ist, bzw. einem vor Augen gehalten wird, was er bedeutet. Die Händler und Verkaufsstände bieten Touristen-Ramsch und sind abhängig von den Reisegesellschaften die ein ganzes Dorf in den Ruin stürzen können, sollten sie die Tour nicht mehr anbieten. Das ist eine lose-lose Situation!

Enjoyed the holiday, food at the hotel was excellent, service was good too. Great location just 10mins walk to the beach. The only negative point I would make is that the rooms were very basic, could do with upgrading

We would be better dropped off before the village to see the Sunset. ?? as that’s the best views. No one tells you till after. Then go for a meal then be picked up. It was a lot of hanging around after the sunset had gone down. Perhaps pick up at 9 instead of 9.30
