This tour showcases the best of Kos in just one day. You'll see the archaeological site of Asklepieon and the pretty hilltop village of Zia. And if that wasn't enough, there'll be a chance to taste local wines and honey, too. Sophia, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘The Asklepieon of Kos was dedicated to Asklepius, the Greek god of healing and medicine, and it was known as a healing sanctuary in ancient times. The peaceful surroundings and the extensive gardens would have been calming and rejuvenating for patients.'The sands of time may have changed ancient Asklepieon, but it remains one of Greece's most important archaeological sites. According to tradition, Hippocrates, who was born on the island of Kos, received his medical education and practiced at the Asklepieon. Among the attractions are the remains of the world's first hospital, where doctors learned about medicine from Hippocrates, and made the first hub for medical research.You'll also visit the mountain village of Zia, which sprawls beneath Mount Dikaios and is best known for traditional architecture and wonderful views of the coast. Here you'll taste the local kanelada drink and have the chance to look around the craft shops and find somewhere for lunch. What's more, there's a tour and tasting session at a winery, alongside a visit to the seaside town of Kefalos, where you'll have free time to explore or relax on the beach. And to really sweeten-up your day, you'll get to sample the local honey, too.

This tour was a little disappointing. Although we saw a lot of the island and we enjoyed some of the free time, we felt the wine-tasting and the honey-tasting fell well short. We would have expected much more information about the actual process. What happened was that we were given some wine and honey to taste and then invited to buy some. The guides made the most of it and everything ran fairly well, but there was so much more that could have been made of those two elements.

Guiden var mycket bra. Helhetsintrycket lite så där. Stressat vid vissa upplevelser så som vinprovningen där vi hade ganska begränsad tid. Själva vinprovningen kunde dessutom skötts betydligt mer professionellt, här hade vi ett och samma glas till alla viner, samt ett tilltugg som bestod i hårda brödpinnar med grus i. Vi blev hämtade först och avsläppta sist, så den som gillar att åka buss blir inte besviken.

We vonden de tour over het algemeen goed behalve de lange stop in Kefalos aan de beach. We vinden dat er te weinig te zien is waar we afgezet werden in Kefalos. Asklepion, de proeverijen en Zia vonden we wel leuk.

Guide war Weltklasse. Angefangen hat es mit einer Verspätung des zweiten Busses der Gäste gebracht hat. -30Min! Die konnten wir nicht einholen. Ein gehetzte von Stopp zu Stopp. Für den Rücktransfer stand kein zweiter Bus zur Verfügung. Unser Busfahrer musste alle Hotels abfahren. Wir waren 1 1/2 Stunden unterwegs. Hätten wir das gewusst, hätten wir mehr Wasser mitgenommen. Katastrophe! Dafür haben wir ZUVIEL Geld bezahlt. Schade. Buche keine Tour mehr. Enttäuschung

Wycieczka bardzo slaba, zaprojektowana na kupowanie nie ogladanie. 1. Ascleoeion - tylko ciekawa atrakcja warta zobaczenia. 2. Zia - ladne miejsce ale zostalismy wysadzeni pod sklepem na degustacje która trwala wiekszosc czasu. 3. Degustacja win - równiez zakupowa atrakcja. 4. Kefalos - 25 min na plazy przy markecie i zakupy tym razem miodu. Zadnych atrakcji Kefalos nie bylo na wycieczce. Wyjazd nie wart takich ceny. Czy Tui albo przewodnicy dostaja pieniadze od sprzedazy w tych miejscach?

Well organised trip. Picked up on time, nice tour guide. Nice visiting 3 islands. Food on boat poor, no choice. Just salad, bread and overcooked chicken skewer ( I assume it was chicken, could not tell, so tough) For the price of the tour the drinks should have been included. 3 euros for a coffee was a bit expensive I thought, for a bit of water and instant coffee. However, overall it was a good trip.

We enjoyed the show experience , Kos is a lovely place to visit and stay . There is lots of history. People were very friendly. Our Rep Angelina was very helpful as my husbands case was left at Gatwick she was able to locate it and have it back to us withi3 days.

Die gute Frau , die die Tour geleitet hat , hat wirklich viel erzählt und ging auf alle Fragen ein. Es wäre schön wenn man im Vorfeld die Kosten für die Antik Besichtigung Stelle bekannt gibt, da ja diese nicht inkludiert sind. 30€ für 2 Personen . Des Weitern fehlte uns auf der Tour ein Punkt mit einem altgriechischen Tatsch , das Bergdorf Zia war viel zu Modern und nur auf Tourismus aus. Bei allen ging es nur um verkauf der Waren , die angeboten wurden.

Wycieczka byla super. Prowadzila ja pani Monika, która mieszka na wyspie 35 lat. To ogromny atut, poniewaz ma duza wiedze zarówno o wyspie Kos, jak i o tych wokól. Cala wycieczke opowiadala, równiezw drodze autokarem. Minusem bylo to,ze pani sprzedajaca wycieczke nie uprzedzila o platnym wstepie do ruin szpitala ani kwocie (15 euro/os.) oraz zamieszanie przy wskazaniu numeru autobusu powrotnego i zrzucenie winy za zle zrozumienie na nas. To niestety na samo zakonczenie zostawilo lekki niesmak.

We thought wine tasting very good value. The visit to the architectural site was very interesting. Good talk by the tour leader. We felt the trip to Kefalos was unnecessary. We had half an hour to fill. Managed va cup of coffee then had to return to the coach to swap coaches ?? All in all we really enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend.

Die Reise kostete 57,-€, für den Eintritt in Asklepion 15,-€, zusätzlich. Die Weinverkostung ein Witz, ein Minischluck, die Flasche zwischen 11 bis 14 € . Viel zu teuer für diese Qualität. Das Dorf in den Bergen stellte sich als ein großer Verkaufsraum dar. Der Ausblick ist allerdings traumhaft! Mittags wurden wir in Kefalos Stadt abgesetzt. Bis auf ein Restaurant und der Supermarkt alles wie ausgestorben, was sollte das. Kefalos Strand wurde uns nicht gezeigt. Toller Blick von oben.

Der Preis war zu hoch, da man für das Museum auch nochmal Eintritt bezahlen musste. Man hatte auch viel zu wenig Aufenthalt in den jeweiligen Orten. Es wurde alles immer sehr schnell abgefertigt.

A really good day out with lots of beautiful places and experiences included and a knowledgeable, helpful guide. We loved all of the places but it did feel a bit rushed. We would have liked to explore in Zia but this was the stop for lunch and we had 1 hrs 15 mins. By the time we walked to a restaurant and ordered we only had ten minutes to eat then get back to the bus. Similarly with Kefalos, which is very beautiful, it would have been nice to stop for more than 30 minutes. Lovely day though!

Volgestampt programma. Heel veel op de bus, overal stops aan hotels. Na lunch amper tijd om nog iets te zien. Wijnproeverij: amper tijd om te proeven. Honingfabriek : heel snel verschillende soorten honing geproefd om zo snel mogelijk door te sluizen naar hun winkel. Laatste stop in groot dorp waar weinig te zien viel, als er iets te zien zou zijn geweest, op 20 minutenging dat niet. Op zoek naar toilet en snelle koffie. Terug eindeloze busrit. Zonde van onze dag. Gids deed wel haar best !

It didn’t seem very well organised at the start. There didn’t seem to be much communication while they were waiting for guides to separate people into groups. Once we met our tour guide she was fantastic. Such amazing knowledge of the island.

Um die Insel kennenzulernen war der Ausflug als "Abriss" gut. Leider war an der Weinverkostung und an der Honigverkostung viel zu wenig Zeit, den Ort zu erkunden bzw. zu überblicken. Die beiden Ziele wurden zu schnell abgefrühstückt.

Despite booking in advance our tour was oversubscribed and we were told that we could either swap to Friday or cancel and get a refund We plan our holiday in advance to know what we are doing and so to be moved to a different date represents a significant disruption to our plans which is disappointing

Wycieczka udana, pieknie widoki, ciekawy przekaz od przewodniczki , w naszym przypadku Pani Lidii. Asklepjon robi wrazenie, krótka wizyta w winiarni z degustacja wina zaskoczyla nas bardzo pozytywnie znowu z ladnymi widokami i przyroda. Kefalos war ein Witz, wir wurden nur in einem Café abgeladen zum Kaffee trinken. Keine Strand, keine Bucht, nur die Aussicht von oben. Zia wird zuviel gehypt, nur Essen gehen und Marktbesuch (Touri-Nippes), Asklepios mit 15€ Eintritt zu teuer, Toiletten unterirdisch, lohnt einfach nicht. Honigverkostung sollte einfach nur zum Kauf animieren, nachdem man ein Stäbchen mit einer Probe bekommen hat. Weinprobe war ok, gab auch Käse und Brot. Das einzig Gute war die tolle Reiseleitung, viele Infos.

Excursion chère sachant que le prix de la visite du site archéologique n'est pas inclus (soit 57 + 15 = 72 €). Visite de la fabrique d'huile d'olives très décevante : on y voit uniquement une machine à l'arrêt et une vidéo explicative. Excursion surtout commerciale pour acheter différents produits. Visite de la ville de Kos pas prévue.

La visite de Asclepion était très intéressante avec une guide passionnée. Le reste de la visite ne nous a pas plu, nous n’avons pas eu de dégustation de vin ni de miel. Et pas eu le temps de visiter Kefalos, uniquement un restaurant en bord de mer.

Wycieczka byla wzglednie ciekawa w zasadzie tylko na poczatku, tj. zwiedzanie Asklepionu, potem przerodzila sie w zasadzie w objazd miejsc gdzie mozna bylo cos kupic i o ile samo to w sobie nie jest problemem, to ogólnie taka forma wycieczki jest malo ciekawa jezeli nie jest to przeplatane ze zwiedzaniem. Podsumowujac, wycieczka nie spelnila oczekiwac biorac pod uwage jej koszt.

The Guide was excellent all day and kept up a very informative dialog from first to last minute. She is a credit!! The afternoon was a lot of coach riding a d not enough time in Kefalos really. Could have included lunch at the price charged too.

Die Rundreise von der Insel war zu Teuer , das Mittagessen hat mein Magen nicht vertragen weil ich nach dem Essen sehr OFT aufs Kloo musste. Die Honig Verkostung war ein Witz. Der Reiseleiter war sehr nett , nur zuviel Imputt . 100 Euro für 2 Personen war wie gesagt zu teuer , man hätte sich ein Auto leihen sollen und alles selber abfahren sollen. War auch kein Strand besuch dabei , SCHADE.

Peut être dommage de devoir payer l'entrée de Asclepeion, bien que, pour les personnes de plus de 65 ans, le tarif est réduit de 50% et passe à 4€

Wyjazd na wyspe Kos jest pelen atrakcji i milych wrazen. Obsluga hotelowa i restauracyjna przemila. Jest polowa pazdziernika a pogoda jak pelnia lata w Polsce. Bardzo polecam hotel mimo ,ze jest bardzo rozlegly to caly czas kursuja melexy, które podwoza gdzie sie chce na terenie hotelu. Chcialbym jeszcze tutaj wrócic.

Die Buchung erfolgte am Tag davor auf einen Termin eine Woche später (15.10.) mit dem Versprechen, es klappt am nächsten Tag (8.10.). Dadurch kam etwas Unsicherheit auf, ob es wirklich klappt. Eine Bestätigung, dass wir am 8.10. mitfahren können war am gleichen Abend nicht mehr zu bekommen. Es hat dann aber Alles bestens geklappt!!! ?? Der Reiseführer Jannis war der Hammer. Mit riesigem Wissen über Sprache, Geschichte, Wein, Land und Leute. Hat uns riesig gefallen sehr empfehlenswert!!!

Die Reiseführung durch Janis war gut und isehr nformativ. Man hat viel über die Geschichte Griechenlands und Kultur etc. erfahren.

Der Guide „Janis“ hat alles über die Insel erzählt. Von der Vergangenheit bis heute. Eine so kurzweilige Führung haben wir noch nicht erlebt. Seine Art alle mit auf die Reise zu nehmen und sich immer zu kümmern ist fast schon rührend. Diesen Ausflug kann sollte jeder Kos Besucher machen. Vielen Dank

Pour la Grèce, ile de kos, 9 sur 10...très bien Mais on est toujours en attente du remboursement des indemnités pour le ********** de l avion revenu des Canaries Fuerteventura en octobre 2022, c est quand même le groupe Tui qui a choisi la compagnie smart swing, et rien ne bouge. Il y a toujours des moyens de les faire bouger, notamment des agences qui ne font que cela.....là, Tui n est pas top du tout : 12 heures a attendre sur le tarmac !!!!

Belle excursion, pourrais prévoir un arrêt à Zia pour visiter l'église. C'est ce qui manque dans cette excursion. Les ruines : BOF manque de temps. Le restaurant était bien mais aurais du être compris dans le prix. Le moulin à farine OK. Par contre la visite de l'usine à huile d'olive industrielle n'a rien de typique nous pensions voir un moulin à huile.

Tout à été parfait le transport pour l'hôtel, l'hôtel les repas ,les chambres ,le personnel,les excursions . Fin de saison pour les animations un peu juste en spectacle. Des vacances reposantes , dommage que c'est chère pour le renouveler tous les ans

J'ai aimé découvrir l'île avec un guide francophone de qualité, je regrette que ce soit ********** commercial, on passe beaucoup de temps à acheter de l'huile, à faire les boutiques de Zia, à acheter des produits du moulin où il faut payer pour visiter le moulin, la maison traditionnelle.

très belle sortie nous avons visité un moulin et une petite maison greque arrêt au petit village de zia avec de jolis petits magasins et ensuite visite d une fabrique d huile d olive

Perte de temps au passage en caisse au site Asclepeion car plusieurs groupe en même temps , du coup visite du site rapide ( peut être insérer le prix du site dans le prix de l'excursion) Visite de Zia , du moulin et de la fabrique d'huile d'olive impeccable Arrêt a Kefalos simplement pour le repas ; pas de visite ..... Dommage
