Tours inside Capuchin Crypts will run with audio guides instead of a guided tour as per new rules imposed by the Capuchin Crypts

Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, as this tour involves a fair amount of walking

The tour itself was good and interesting, however no transport was supplied back to the original meeting place so we had to pay 10 euros for a taxi back to our hotel

De reisleidster wist veel te vertellen op een leuke inspirerende manier. Heel bijzonder ook om de geschiedenis te horen. De bustour was ook leuk omdat je door Rome rijd en ze veel vertelde over de stad. Ben je slecht ter been is het geen aanrader, omdat er ondergronds een pad is dat hobbelig is. Veel trappen. Maar wat vonden we het machtig interresant. Ik zeg doen!

De gids vertelde op een grappige manier en gaf veel info, waardoor je wist waarnaar je moest kijken. Je kwam op plekken waar je anders wellicht niet geweest zou zijn. Zeer interessant en een aanrader. Er had iets meer tijd ingeruimd mogen zijn voor het botten kerkje. Je moest best snel door de expositie. We kregen wel een blad met de nrs die je vooral moest luisteren.

The Crypts and Catacombs of Rome was an amazing experience and well organised. Semih our guide was the perfect host, very knowledgeable and passionate in his delivery. He made some personal recommendation for the remainder of our stay in Rome, which we took full advantage of. We would fully recommend this tour with City wonders.

Die Tour wurde von Heather geleitet. Es war wirklich beeindruckend, der Ablauf entspannt + gut organisiert. De rondleiding door de crypte was super, leuke tourguide met veel achtergrond informatie. Ontvangers met koptelefoon, dus prima te verstaan. De tombe viel ons daarentegen erg tegen. Gids van de tombe zelf. Microfoon met luidspreker prima, maar niet als je met je rug naar de mensen staat, dan hoor je nog maar de helft. De kerk werd weer begeleidt door de eigen tourguide en was dan ook weer voorzien van veel leuke weetjes en extra informatie. Paula was top.

Please include in any tour if there is a prohibition on taking images...this could just be me but one great thing about vacations is sharing images...the tour did not allow any. If I had known this before I would not have taken this tour. Seems trite but its just me. TNX

I had been looking forward to the capuchin crypts but the museum closed early that day so the tour was very rushed; we didn't get a proper tour of that part. The tour should have been scheduled to start earlier. If I had known that would be the case, I would have gone alone. Everything else was fine

Great tour with Ricardo to the Capuchin crypts and the catacombs on the outskirts of Rome. He was very knowledgeable and engaging, and looked after everyone. Would highly recommend this tour as it educates you about a whole different dimension in Rome. I was mesmerized by the incredible artistic patterns made with human bones in the Capuchin crypts, truly a beautiful remembrance to the mother NWS that had passed. We also appreciated the tips offered at the end of the tour.

Mike was really knowledgeable and gave great context of the history on various aspects of the tour (how gods were passed on from Greeks to Romans etc etc) which was really interesting, He had a great sense of humour but was repectful and insightful about the reverence of the important burial sights and special bone chapels we visited.

What a fabulous tour... ! And our guide Ricardo had encyclopaediac knowledge. The stories he told transported us to the time period he was talking about. Places like the crypts and catacombs have so little information online, that the guide really makes all the difference.
