Albania is just a short boat ride from Corfu. This often-overlooked country was closed to outsiders for decades and it's only now really beginning to flex its tourist muscles. On this full day excursion, you'll visit the ruins of ancient Butrint, go for lunch and enjoy free time in Saranda. The tour kicks off with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Butrint. Everyone from the Greeks to Romans to Ottomans left their mark on this ancient town. Walking through its ruins is like leafing through the pages of a living history book. Highlights include the amphitheatre and temple.A woodland stroll up to the Venetian hill fort will give you great views over the national park and the surrounding wetlands. Afterwards, you'll head for a buffet lunch in the hamlet of Karanxh. Finally there's an hour of free time to explore Saranda before returning to Corfu.

There were issues with communication before we got to Albania, We weren't told it was with a different tour company, the bus to the port was not clearly marked and we were given no guidance as to which boat to get on post passport control. when we got Albania however the Tour was fantastic, the tour guide very friendly and knowledgeable, the food was great and the ruins stunning. The free time was a little disappointing as the area is more Bars Beach and Grockle shops than anything else.

The guide was fabulous. The tour was well-organised. More information for the return trip - really from the port staff would have been helpful. We were left without knowing which boat we would be on and when it would arrive. Coaches were great in Corfu and in Albania. The buffet was good.

From start to finish, the tour was excellent and value for money. Thank you to the driver who picked us up, the boat trip, the guides and bus driver in Albania. Our guide was extremely informative and made sure that our group was together at all times. The World Heritage site was a great place to visit and she told us its history every step of the way. Lunch was plentiful and tasty and the stop with free time in Sarande was excellent. What a beautiful place. It’s an excellent trip.

Lunch was great. Guide was great. Roman ruins great. Transport back to Corfu by sea was very bad. Some kind of ancient landing craft. Only seats were on top with only rudimentary sun canopies for shelter. Boat went through a heavy rain storm, rough sea and torrential rain. Heavy rain blew under the canopies, no protection and no crew. People were panicking. Some tried going down to car deck but no seating there. Every passenger drenched to skin.

Die historischen Sehenswürdigkeiten waren sehr interessant und der Guide war Sachkundig. Auch der Zwischenstopp mit dem Essen war gut. 2 Dinge haben mich gestört. 1. Der Guide ist am Anfang losgeprescht ohne auf alle Teilnehmer zu achten. Wir haben mit einigen anderen aus unserer Gruppe, die eigentliche Gruppe, nach einen ca. halben Kilometer wieder gefunden. Nach einer kurzen Diskussion war der Rest dann super. 2. die Zeit in Saranda zum bummeln war mit 45 Minuten sehr kurz bemessen.

Es hat 3 Stunden gedauert bis man überhaupt in Albanien war, der Reiseleiter war sehr nett und hat das gut gemacht. Jedoch hatte man für alles sehr wenig Zeit, es war nur ein Gehetze am Schluss gerade mal 20min für freie Zeit bevor es wieder zurück ging. Als ob man da noch was machen könnte. Auch das Mittagessen war ein Witz! Kann man auch in seinem Hotel essen! Waren insgesamt 12 Stunden unterwegs bis man wieder im Hotel ankam, lohnt sich nicht, vorallem nicht für das Geld

Good tour guide, nice little pit stop after getting off the boat, excellent lunch. Dislikes; ferry facilities were terrible, no water, coffee/tea available to purchase. Onboard toilets, no paper, soap or running water. No evacuation procedure announced, shocking. More time at the castle would've been good instead of the 10-15 mins we got.

Well planed. The guide was very informative and kept everything running well. The hotel we had lunch, was well organised had everything running well everything lunch was fresh. On the down side, part of the tour was not suitable for people with disabilities. However, the guide was excellent and explained all beforehand, in the end was not a big problem

Obwohl es in der Ausschreibung von TUI zu dieser Tour hieß, man müsse am Vortag bei der Hafenbehörde seine Daten hinterlassen, wurde mir das bei der Anmeldung abgenommen. TUI übernahm dies für mich. Ich hätte mich sonst nicht zu dieser Tour angemeldet, die schlussendlich die beste der Touren war, die ich gebucht habe. Ich fühlte mich bei der ganzen Tour gut betreut, angefangen von der Begrüßung am Hafen, die Erklärung für die Passkontrolle, die Überfahrten und die Führung in Albanien.

Beautiful country and excellent guide. The transfer back to the hotel took a while which meant that the tour was approaching 12 hours from start to finish. This should be reflected in the tour description.

Guides were very informative and driver of coach highly skilled in his job.Beautiful views lunch at a fantastic hotel and plenty of free time in Saranda . With cheap prices and seamless transfer back to Corfu .we would highly recommend this day trip.

It was well run. Everything went smoothly. Albania is an up and coming country. Its very modern. They welcome tourism and are very friendly people. I will definitely go back again. The guide we had was absolutely amazing. Her knowledge was wonderful and she was such a lovely character. She really looked after everyone. I was so impressed with her.

L’organisation très mauvaise on prends un guide français et au départ il ne parles que l’anglais à vs de vs débrouiller jusqu’en Albanie ou la le guide francophone était la. La 1 ère visite sympa repas typique albanais tomate concombre et boulettes de viandes le tout franchement pas bon c’est plus que limite ! Et le temps libre 30 mn chrono ou on vs met sur une promenade avec 4000 café et voila le centre ville un peu éloigné pour pouvoir visite en si peu de temps . Au final cher payer pour peu

The day trip to Albania was extremely well organised with well timed comfort breaks and clear instructions were given throughout the day. The inclusive buffet lunch was particularly excellent with a lot of choice at a well chosen venue and in the shade too which was a bonus.

Omgeving PRIMA We bezoeken zelf geen ruïnes maar het meeste werd door de gids prettig en leerzaam vertelt! Lunch: er was geen bediening voor drankjes en ook waren er te weinig tafeltjes/stoelen Aanduiding bij inschepen op Corfu was niet aanwezig Maar al met al: GENOTEN !!!

La traversée en bateau de Corfou à Saranda en Albanie a été fort agréable. La visite du site archéologique de Butrinti a été très enrichissante, bien qu'il y avait trop de groupes de touristes à la fois. Merci encore pour la gentillesse et la patience des guides et animateurs.

Er was veel onduidelijkheid over waar je moest zijn, toen de boot eenmaal aankwam in Albanië. Eenmaal in de bus was de Engelstalige gids niet goed te verstaan. Ook bij de stopplaatsen liep ze al door voordat de groep compleet was.

De pick up met de bus was prima maar aangekomen in de haven wordt je aan je lot over gelaten en is het allemaal best chaotisch. Saranda is erg toeristische stad met veel hoogbouw. De Antieke stad was prachtig en het uitkijkpunt ook. Gids was erg enthousiast. Buffet was prima , beetje koud maar dat is vaak zo. Al met al een leuke maar lange dag. Als je maar 8 dagen op Corfu verblijft zou ik het niet doen er is genoeg op Corfu zelf te zien. Bij een langer verblijf is het heel leuk om te doen

We stonden 15’ voor ophaal klaar voor het hotel, de chauffeur weigerde om ons mee te nemen! We zijn nog 45’ blijven staan omdat we dachten dat het de verkeerde bus was… maar er daagde niemand meer op! We verloren daardoor een dag van onze vakantie want we konden niets meer plannen. Dat was een groot minpunt van onze reis!

Albanien ist ein wunderschönes Land ab Albanien war alles super wir hatten ein ganz toller Guide sehr Kinder freundlichen. Das Essen war richtig richtig lecker. Von Korfu aus war es eine Katastrophe über den Zoll zu kommen und bis ich die Fahrkarten hatte war ein hin und her und keiner hat geholfen. Haben es aber trotzdem hinbekommen. Nach dem Anfang stress wurde es dann richtig schön wie gesagt ab Albanien.

Point positif le site archéologique et le guide Points négatifs : escale de 30mn en arrivant pour prendre un café soi disant dans un hôtel 4 étoiles alors que vous êtes dans un bar à l'extérieur avec juste un toilette pour femme. 10 minutes suffisaient Excursion au pas de courses.

Le guide n a pas attendu à la sortie du bateau nous étions 7 complètement livrés à nous même on a finalement été récupéré par un car allemand anglais et retrouvé notre guide après Je trouve ça inadmissible peu professionnel pour moi c est une faute grave et croyez moi je le ferai savoir donc je regrette cette excursion très cher

It would have been useful to know the tour was the finika line tour not a tui tour as at no point was that explained and led to much confusion at the start especially when waiting for a tui coach - which all drove past and only by asking the finika staff did we find out where we should be . A pretty basic communication error!

Totally miss sold this trip - we clearly stated that we had two small children plus grandparents. We were told that this would be fine as it was a family friendly trip. After travelling for almost 5 hours, when we arrived at the first stop it was not suitable and we had to sit and wait for the others. The restaurant was also just a buffet in a hotel not an authentic meal as sold. And the guide kept leaving us behind and almost lost and left us Albania! Stressful and very disappointing trip!

We were given little info about how the guide would meet us in Albania. Which resulted in us being stranded at the ferry port. With no one available to help us. No effort made by the 3rd party tour guide to look for us at the one exit point?? We had to turn on roaming which resulted in huge charges adding to stress only to be told to find 3rd party guide.

The whole day was value for money. Knowledgable tour guide. The sites visited were very good. The hotel lunch was decent. Would have preferred more time in the port of Saranda in the afternoon but this was curtailed by the bad morning traffic on leaving port to visit the sites. It was a long day (12.5 hours from hotel pick up to drop off) but a lot was packed into it. One of the best holiday excursions I’ve ever done.

Coach took very long time to get to UNECO site through traffic. We felt rushed around the site. We only got 30 mins to spend in Saranta!! I would have expected at least 1 hour When the coach left us off in Saranta the guide marched ahead & didn't check to make sure everyone was off the coach. After our 30 mins in Saranta the guide did the same thing again, marching way ahead on our walk back to the ferry. She did not wait to see if everyone was present & did not do a head count.

Butrint was brilliant our guide Lunda was very informative helpful and kind. I do think we should have been advised re port tax and that cash is more acceptable/popular but this wasn't an issue for us

Overall trip was great. The tour guide was excellent, but the trip to the castle was unnecessary and left too little time to see Saranda. Ferry terminals chaotic and disorganised, you need to listen out for instructions as several ferries operate trips to different locations at the same time

Die Anreise aus Korfu ( von Roda aus) ist sehr anstrengend und dauert bis zu 4 Stunden. Die verbleibende Zeit in Albanien ist dann sehr knapp bemessen und man wird durch die Sehenswürdigkeiten durchgescheucht… die Getränke beim Mittagessen kosten extra. Für unsere Kinder war es ein Abenteuer … für die Eltern nicht. Der deutschsprachige Guide war sehr nett.

An excellent trip - the guide was great and lunch nice. Butrint was an amazing place. Only down sides were the driver in the way there not saying we needed to stay on the coach as he was dropping others to other boat trips first, not much time in saranda at the end, the traffic on the way to butrint and the chaos at the port on the way back. We would actually like to go there for a holiday the places were visited were so lovely - ksamil seemed lovely as we drove through it.

Alles keurig geregeld, in de bus, bij de haven en in Albanië werden we begeleid. Sarande en Ksamil zijn uit de grond gestampte toeristen steden met heel veel hotels (in aanbouw) maar fatsoenlijke infrastructuur ontbreekt. Doordat we zo lang in de file stonden van Sarande naar Butrint verviel de gehele vrije tijd in Sarande. Butrint is prachtig en de moeite waard. Gids had er helaas flink de vaart in vanwege de verloren tijd. Lunch in 4-sterren hotel buffet zeer matig qua keuze en kwaliteit.

The guide and all staff the operator were rude, abrupt, dismissive, disinterested and generally unhelpful. The UNESCO site was extremely dangerous with wooden steps that were collapsing, bits of loose masonry and thousands of trip/fall hazards with no barrier protection. The explanation of where we had to be and what we had to do at any given time was poor throughout the excursion. There was no free time to explore as advertised meaning we got no general impression of Albania at all.

We were expecting to pay for this on our credit card so was a tad frustrated when we had to hand a big chunk of our cash over. The guide & driver were great, I felt the ruins was a bit rushed and as a result we missed a section and didn't get a chance for the gift shop. They seemed more bothered about getting us back to waste 1/2hr we was also advised to bring swim stuff as there wasn't a swim stop like we were told.

Nous avons passé plus de temps dans les transports qu en Albanie. 1h30 de bus depuis l'hôtel, arrivée pas d'accueil en français pour prendre le bateau, on s'est débrouillées seules, puis environ 1h de bateau, accueil avec le guide français ouf... Puis plus de 2h de bouchon en bus pour arriver sur le site archéologique annoncé, visite expresse pour revenir ensuite pour le déjeuner 40 minutes. Nous devions visiter un château l'après-midi mais pas le temps le bateau était à 16h. Dommage déçue.

Publicité mensongère. Par incompétence nous avons du choisie entre 10 min de visite d'un château ou la ville. Prestation trop excessive pour une visite de 1h d'un cité archéologique et 10 min un ancien château. Temps de transport excessif sans entissipation du chauffeur ( arrêt carburant. Circulation) Guides qui ne sait pas s'organis. Déjeuner sans intérêt et insipide. Prise en charge pour les formalités doiniaires et autre, accompagnement juste pour encaissement des taxees

Pas de guide francophone au départ, 1h de bus, 1h pour la douane et 1h30 de bateau, pour dès l’arrivée faire une pause dans un hôtel avec boissons payantes. Après 25 mn de pause , le chauffeur redémarre et fait 30 mètres pour s’arrête faire le plein d’essence ! 1h30 dans les bouchons pour rejoindre le site archéologique. À peine 40 mn pour manger car nous sommes en **********. Et bouquet final on nous demande de choisir entre la visite du château et la ville !! Bref une arnaque !!!

The guide was very knowledgeable and organised. The journey to Albania was lovely and the company gave very clear instructions in both ports which meant it was stress free. The variety of activities we fitted into a small time in Albania meant we saw a lot of things and got a real feel for the country.

Die Abholung verlief etwas chaotisch, weil verschiedene Unternehmen gleichzeitig Gäste abgeholt haben und die Busse nicht gut gekennzeichnet waren, aber in Albanien war alles super organisiert und unser deutschsprachiger Guide war super! Er war sehr gut informiert und wusste zu jedem Thema etwas zu sagen. Die Rückreise verlief dann aber wieder problemlos. Jederzeit empfehlenswert. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Très belle visite avec de belles informations du guide. Arrêt et repas dans un hôtel 4 étoiles qui en profitent au niveau tarif dans un pays à bas coût. Déçus par le déjeuner. Aucune spécialité albanaise. Juste des crudités basiques, des boulettes et riz puis une simple pomme. Nous aurons préféré payer 10€ de plus et manger des spécialités albanaises.

Weather was beautiful. When we spoke to our rep at the hotel prior to booking we were given a brief overview and advised we would have around 1-2 hours free time when in Albania, however this free time was actually 25 minutes and felt incredibly rushed and did not allow us to enjoy ourselves following the guided tour. Given we only had 25 minutes after tour, we were rushed into souvenir shopping which ended up in us getting scammed by one of the vendors which left sour taste after trip.
