Wat te verwachten
Snorkelen met walvishaaien is iets voor op je bucket list en je ziet ze gegarandeerd niet ver van de kust van Cancún. Dit is een ontmoeting om nooit te vergeten. Je snorkelt met een partner met deze vriendelijke reuzen, die hier tussen juni en september komen om te paren.Je begint de ochtend met een licht continentaal ontbijt in onze privé jachthaven. Daar ga je aan boord van de 10 meter lange boot die je naar de plek brengt waar je snorkelt met de walvishaaien. Je bent met niet meer dan 10 gasten aan boord, zodat je er zeker van bent dat je genoeg tijd hebt om in paren te snorkelen. Als je het gebied hebt bereikt, heb je twee uur de tijd om te zwemmen met deze enorme zeedieren.Daarna gaat de boot voor anker voor het Paya Norte strand dat zo uit een ansichtkaart lijkt te zijn gestapt. Je geniet in het ondiepe water ook van een lichte lunch met ceviche, om daarna terug te keren naar de jachthaven op het vasteland.

C'est une super expérience. On sent bien le professionnalisme du capitaine et de l'ensemble de l'equipe. Un peu de stress avant de sauter même si on a bien été préparé. Tout était parfait. Seul tout petit bémol, le temps d'attente avant de prendre le bateau. Ça paraît long car rien n'est prêt lorsqu'on arrive (café, gâteau, combinaisons...)

We saw lots of whales & rays so great! Not the greatest value for money though. We were sold breakfast & lunch. Breakfast was a dry bit of cake & juice. Lunch was ok shrimp salad. We got separated from others in our bus to go with different guides so ended up waiting ages for others to come back before we could leave.

Wir durften nur zweimal Tauchen und wenn es nicht gut geklappt hat, hatte man leider Pech. Es wird sehr auf Naturschutz geachtet - das war TOP! Leider waren die Fotos/Videos unprofessionell und dafür ziemlich überteuert. Man hätte das bei dem hohen Preis für die Tour auch einfach mitgeben können

pas de guide parlant francais, nous n'avons eu aucune explication sur lederoulement de la sortie requin baleine, ni par la delegué tui qui nous a vendu l'excursion ni par le guide/ L'organisation etait tres mauvaise, avec des attentes interminables. Rien n'etait pret a notre arrivée a la marina. Nous apprenons sur le fait l'organisation du snorkling avec les requins baleine: 2 sorties de 2mm max par personne. et la non prise en compte des allergies alimentaires .

The whole experience was incredible from beginning to end. However, the price for the Go Pro video at the end was VERY expensive 😳 You HAVE to purchase really, as you'll never swim with whale sharks again, but almost £100 for a video is excessive by any standard..... 😔 😟

This trip was devastating. 11 boats hunting down one whale shark and trapping it, and every boat releasing 10 people to swim with the one shark. It was very distressing and I refused to get in a second time. The food was appalling - a slice of cake for breakfast and either seafood salad or a wilted sandwich for lunch. The guide agreed with me that the whale sharks are treated as a commodity, but said he needed a job in Mexico. I was conned into thinking it was an ethical trip

Karen who was the Tui ref in Ocean coral and turquesa was absolutely brilliant, she sorted all our experiences and sorted out the driver's putting them in their place when things were getting confusing sorting who was on what bus, couldn't fault her she made our holiday a once in a life time experience, I have nothing bad to say, it was an incredible holiday, everything was so easy.

The staff were excellent. Particularly the captain and the guide on our boat. They worked so hard to make sure that we all got to see the whale sharks and felt safe in the water, even if we were inexperienced and nervous.

Whole experience was unforgettable. However the only fault I can give it is not being able to wear sun cream at all, even a few hours before going into the water and with reef safe sun cream. I burnt very badly.

Fantastic experience swimming in the water with a whale shark. Plus seeing Manta Rays swimming and jumping out of the water... Was not so keen on paying 60 dollars for a short clip of the swimming with the Whale Shark and a few pictures.

Es hat mir extrem gut gefallen-leider habe ich die bereits bezahlten Videos bis heute nicht erhalten. Ich habe eine Mail an den Photoanbieter geschickt (mit Quittung) und TUI Letzipark ins CC genommen. Ich hoffe dass ich das Filmmaterial so schnell wie möglich erhalte. Bereits hatte ich schon am letzten Sa ein Email geschickt an Photos Blue Caribe (noch ohne TUI im CC). Leider ohne Erfolg.

It was an amazing day we were able to swim with apod of wild dolphins as well as the whale sharks. The crew were very mindful not to stress the fish making sure all the guide lines were followed. The crew were very friendly and very helpful and able to answer any questions you had. The day made an old man very happy.

Es war alles top, man könnte den Gästen allerdings erlauben sich am Hafen nochmal einzucremen, denn immerhin ist man locker 40minuten auf dem Wasser unterwegs. Ein First aid Kid mit hyperventilationsmaske wäre auch top gewesen. Die Preise für das Video und das Foto sind meiner Meinung definitiv mit 60$ als Pärchen zu hoch.

Absolutely amazing experience! There were a number of people sick on the boat trip which obviously impacts others, you could sell’s the brackets or tablets on the boat or pre earn them to take the tablet the night before! Or a more gentler cruise could be offered! Also £60 for a couple for photos I understand but I got charged £90 for three people and the photos were only of one of us! More choice of sandwiches ( I don’t eat mayo and it was in the sandwiches )

This really was an experience of a life time and I would recommend this experience to anyone but I would advise eat something before you go and pack a lunch we got given a slice of cake for breakfast and then either a very small shrimp salad or ham and cheese sandwich for lunch which isn't enough when being on a boat all day,there is alot of waiting around before and after. Communication could have been better as we hit a bad storm on way out with scared children and nothing was said to anyone.

Transfer from hotel ran smoothly and overall trip was fantastic, we were lucky enough to swim twice with whalesharks! The only negative is that there is no mention of having to pay extra for a wetsuit. Although snorkel gear is included, it was explained at the briefing that you either had to hire a wetsuit or wear a buoyancy jacket which was free but difficult to swim in. You weren't allowed in the water without one or the other for safety reasons. So the extra cost should be mentioned!

Extremely expensive for less than 4 minutes in the water with the Whale Shark. On top of this the port tax added even more cost that wasn’t made aware of at time of booking. Also the people running the boat then tried to get an extra $130 for a total of 40 seconds of video footage of me and my family (of 5). Provided with a tiny slice of cake for the light breakfast, a ham and cheese sandwich and half a dozen prawns for lunch. Sat waiting in the heat without a drink for over an hour to go home.

It was rushed, overcrowded, stressful not an enjoyable experience at all. Felt for the whale sharks, they must have been scared with over 40 boats surrounding them with over 10 people on each so average of 400 people. The noise and fumes was awful. Not enough cold drinks. I was travel sick and the boat captain was fantastic with me at this time.

The day was an amazing experience. Guide, captain and sailor were great. It says you get breakfast but this is a slither of cake to obviously stop sea sickness. We took Dramamine prior to going on boat and had no issues with this. Seeing the whale sharks in their natural environment was unforgettable. Only negatives there were only pictures and videos of 3 out of 4 of our group which we found out after paying 120$. Only given 1 drink which was not sufficient for an 8 hour trip.

Pick up was on time lovely tour guide went out to sea but when we got there way too many boats I would say around 12 speed boats you had to keep moving around as to not hit the other boats must have spent around 15-20 minutes then headed back and only to find are video was all blurry as they didn’t check the camera beforehand and other people in our group didn’t get one either and was not worth the value of 60 dollars so really disappointed and they need to improve on how it’s managed

A once in a lifetime experience, this was absolutely exceptional. Worth every single penny! Please take anti sickness tablets as the boat ride out can be VERY choppy as they go fast, quite a few people on our boat got sea sick due to this.

Wir hatten den Guide Martin. Martin hat das super gemacht ! Hatten auch Glück dass sehr viele Walhaie vor Ort waren und sich die Boote aufteilten und nicht soviel auf einen ********** waren !!! The guide staff and boat crew were brilliant. I loved how passionate they were about the whale sharks, and how they preferred to try and find a whale of their own instead of joining the fleet of other boats and swimmers. Sadly, there are obviously some boats who don’t care so much, and it was disappointing to see litter on the ocean surface. Other than that, swimming with whale sharks was an awesome experience.

Deze trip word aangeboden zonder voldoende waarschuwing over de omstandigheden en impact. De bootreis heen was dik 1,5 uur over ruige golven waarbij ik én mijn zoon voor de balans vd boot voorin werden geplaatst. Harde klappen in de rug, we kwamen beide soms 50 cm uit de harde bank, die bij een andere medereiziger (jonge vrouw) rugletsel veroorzaakte maakte de heenreis zeer zwaar en onprettig. Het is een ruige trip. Meld dit vooraf. Gids was erg bevlogen, het eten ronduit smerig.

Le bateau n'est pas couvert et pas le droit de mettre de la crème solaire pour la santé des poissons... Nous étions 12 dans le bus de transfert puis 10 dans le bateau. Au retour, nous avons attendu 1h30 les 2 personnes qui étaient dans un autre bateau, sans eau, sans rien... Partie nagé avec les requins baleines très agréable, heureusement

De excursie is echt veel te duur, zeker voor een gezin van vier en het feit dat je maar enkele minuten in het water mag zijn. Dat vervolgens voor de filmpjes die van matige kwaliteit zijn ook nog eens USD 105 (!!!!) wordt gevraagd is echt schandalig!! Bovendien wordt gevraagd om per koppel te betalen terwijl een van ons niet heeft gezwommen en dus niet op de filmpjes staat… Echt absurd, pure geldklopperij!

Comme précisé à notre correspondante à l’hôtel Salena, dès notre retour de l’excursion, nous sommes déçu pour plusieurs raisons : - nous avions mentionné lors de la réservation que nous us ne mangions pas de porc, précisé également au guide local dans la navette. Au déjeuner pas de sandwiches pour nous 4. Mes 2 enfants non rien mangé, le reste du temps salade avec énormément d’oignons. Beaucoup de choses à dire mais pas assez de places. Von Anfang an, toller Service und ein unvergessenes Erlebnis. Anjay unsere Tourmanagerin von TUI vor Ort im Hotel hatte uns sehr ausführlich beraten. Eine top Empfehlung von ihr. Auf der Tour hat uns Martin als deutsch sprechender Gide professionell über den Tag begleitet. Es war ihm wichtig, daß das Schwimmen mit den Wahlhaien für jeden ein Erlebnis wird. Der Preis ist am oberen Ende des als Familie noch machbaren. Rückblickend, war das Erlebnis jeden Euro wert.

Brilliant experience. Two efforts to see a Whale Shark. Unfortunately my first one my flipper fell off (my fault not tight enough). 2nd one though, was sensational. Tried to keep at 9 feet away from shark. Was closer at the beginning (about 5 foot). Kenneth, the guide, was utterly superb and both captains were patient and incredibly helpful. Loved this experience. Just amazing.

Hätte eine sehr schöne Tour werden können. Seegang viel zu stark, aufgrund dessen kaum Walsichtung. Der der gesichtet wurde, da wurden die Menschen in Scharren ins Meer geworfen. Zum einen das Schnorchel durch den Wellengang sehr lebensgefährlich, zum anderen die Boote die überall waren. Für Kinder definitiv nicht zu empfehlen. In vielen Booten wars allen einfach nur schlecht. Die Tour müsste dem Wetter angepasst werden, damit man für das Geld auch Freude dran hat. Guid war allerdings spitze.

Wat een geweldige ervaring! Werd opgehaald bij hotel en onderweg al veel toelichting en info gekregen. Had veel recensies gelezen over oncomfortabele bootjes, blauwe plekken en zeeziekte. Er werd onderweg gestopt bij winkeltje om pilletjes tegen zeeziekte te kunnen kopen als je wilde. Onze boot was gewoon voorzien van comfortabele zittingen. Er werd vol respect met de walvishaaien omgegaan en iedereen super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Wauw wat is het een eer om naast zulke dieren te mogen zwemmen

Our whole family had an amazing experience diving with Whale Sharks. However it was a relatively expensive trip and there was something wrong with the boat motor that meant we had to crawl back to harbour. So everyone was seasick on the way home.

We were picked up 5:55 am, got to meeting and spent an hour waiting doing nothing meaning early start was unnecessary. Jonathan our guide collecting did not speak to us or brief us at all during this time we felt forgotten. We were switched to oscar who was awesome as a guide as was our boat crew the experience was unforgettable but we only swam with the sharks once for about 1 minute which didn't feel great value. On leaving I went to the toilet and Jonathan went to the car without me.

Our rep gave us excellent advice on the best day to choose weather wise. The sea was beautiful and so calm on the day. Lilly, our guide, gave us so much information about whale sharks and what to do and not do if were fortunate enough to see one. When we arrived at the area they're known to be, we saw so many! Swimming with them was a fantastic experience and one we will remember for a long time. A PERFECT DAY.

Das Erlebnis selbst war super. Nur leider finden wir 5 Minuten mit den Walhaien im Wasser zu schwimmen als Hauptattraktion zu teuer und dafür zu kurz. Wir haben eine Stunde am Anfang im "Basecamp" gewartet und nach dem Erlebnis mit den Walhaien eine Stunde (nicht wie versprochen auf der Isla Mujeres) vor der Isla Mujeres auf Boot gegessen. Somit konnte der Magen sich nicht wie im Vorfeld besprochen ausruhen, sondern es wurde eher schlimmer. Wir sind mit der Preis/Leistung nicht zufrieden.

The tour guide Mika was really bad at her job. When booking we were also told we will be having lunch at one of the restaurants on the island, this did not happen. We were told to get off the boat and not allowed to go back on as they were "preparing" (she was sitting on the boat drinking a beer) lunch on the boat. Really poorly organised. 2x 45 second videos are charged at 60 USD. We were only given water to drink, shrimp ceviche and a ham sandwich. Breakfast was a piece of cake. Do not recomme

Me & my 11 year old went. Gabry, Pinocchio & Angel were fab, so knowledgeable & passionate about their role. We paid for full size masks, but we felt them suffocating, so should have stuck to the standard snorkels provided with the cost. While brief, the experience was unbelievable, felt emotional swimming with them. Recommend to bring food for fussy eaters, as options are limited (ceviche and ham &cheese sandwich provided). Couldn’t fault the service at all! Best trip of the holiday!

Great trip overall but should let you know the time you will be on the coach, we where on it for 2 hours 30 mins to get to the marina and trip said breakfast included when all you got was a slice of cake and a drink and when being picked up at 5.30am and not having anything to eat until around 3pm is a long time to go without anything to eat.

Einfach ein tolles Erlebnis. Ein sehr schöner Moment, den ich nicht mehr vergessen werde. Allerdings sind leider die Hälfte der Personen auf unserem Boot seekrank geworden und konnten zum Teil nicht mit dem Hai schwimmen, da es Ihnen so schlecht ging. Daher meine Empfehlung Tabletten für Seekrankheit mitbringen. Da das Boot ggf. Warten muss, da noch andere Boote vor Ort sind und es dann im Wasser stark schaukelt. Auch sollte man sich vorher eincremen, da dies während der Tour nicht erlaubt ist.

Trip was fantastic and all 4 of us managed to swim with the sharks (there were 2). It was an unforgettable experience and we enjoyed it immensely. Guide and staff were excellent. We were lucky, and I could be wrong, but I do get the feeling that spotting the sharks is incredibly difficult and (even with experienced people on the boat) there may be many who don't get to swim with them. For us this trip was amazing and we have some excellent memories and photos

Every part of it and everybody involved were fantastic exceeded all expectations. Some people got a bit grumpy due to not being filmed which was there own fault. They didn't listen to the instructions so the first mate had to spend most of his time helping them get the best experience instead of videoing them. We listen followed instructions so had the most amazing experience and have lots of video evidence to prove it

The people involved on our boat were absolutely fantastic! We couldn’t asked for a better captain. We were all looked after very well and safety was first. Was my birthday so it’s a day I won’t forget. Awesome!

Le requin baleine magnifique, le reste de l’excursion du superflu, l’horaire 5h55 ridicule un pause sur la route inutile, une attente à la marina d’une heure pour rien. Un conseil faite moins chère et faite que les requin baleine et retour direct. Le petit déjeuner et le déjeuner sur le bateau sert à rien la qualité pas terrible, malade le lendemain avec les crevettes je suppose du cheviche.. Les photos tarifs prohibitifs comme le reste

A great experience. A little bit unorganised at times, not knowing what was happening. TUI representative didn’t tell us we would be expected to pay additional fees for reef tax at the time of booking. An amazing thing to have done!

Wat een ervaring fantastisch maar er was gezegd dat we ontbijt kregen, wij dus niks gegeten ik (49) en me dochter (13) maar eerst in de bus dik een uur toen wetsuit aandoen plus 1 uur wachten daarna op de boot meer dan een uur varen, toen we er waren mocht iedereen idd 2x 3 minuten met de walvishaai zwemmen geweldig was het! Maar ondertussen nog geen broodje, geen koekje helemaal niks om te eten, ook helemaal niks te drinken geen water niks :( eindelijk rond 1500uur smiddags 1 broodje en flesje

Do not go on the trip if you are not used to snorkelling or an excellent swimmer. I would encourage people to buy the seasick tablet you can get at the 7eleven in the way there it was very choppy and rolled around a lot. The dinner wasn’t great, a sandwich or prawn ceviche. Ok if you like seafood.
