La Gomera boasts unspoilt landscapes and a distinct culture all of its own. On this tour, you'll visit this Jurassic-like island and discover Garajonay National Park, a string of villages and the charming capital, San Sebastian. Arianne, one of our guides, says of the island, ‘La Gomera is a totally different world – it's a return to the past, to the origin of the Canary Islands.'The star of the show is without doubt Garajonay National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's a mishmash of deep ravines and gorges filled with ancient, misty laurel forests and rare plant life. On a visit to its interpretative centre, you'll find out about its botany and history. You'll also get to know hamlets such as oasis-like Chejelipes, which is on the banks of a reservoir, and the northern villages of Hermigua and Aguilo.And you'll get you to learn about local culture, too. There's a demonstration of the unique-to-the-island ‘whistling language' known as 'silbo gomero'. To round off the experience, there's free time to explore San Sebastian. Here, you can follow in the footsteps of Columbus before he began his first voyage of discovery. More than a visit to another island, a trip to La Gomera is a journey to another era.

The trip itself was ok but the guide spoke English and German which we knew but believed it to be 50/50 but was considerably more German so we found difficult. German was spoken first & English rushed and ofter the tour guide started walking when doing the English. Lunch was put back till 2.30 so the guide really rushed the stop in the town. Where we were sat for the meal was really tight I couldn't get in at end table. Hubby sat there but not enough room for him to turn round to see whistler.

Trip to see another island and ferry ride was overall very good. The issues were that unfortunately the coach was over half an hour late. Included was a three course meal in a typical Spanish restaurant which was very rushed maybe due to the late start. We had to vacate our table after just 30 minutes during which time we ate a three course meal and drank wine. There was no time to enjoy the food just gallop it down and go, Guide was very good and would have enjoyed with more time for lunch.

I loved the trip and the guide, Ingrid was really nice and told us a lot of interesting things. The only inconvenience was the time spent in the bus, it had been perfect if we had more time for walking and enjoying the places we visited and if the transfer time would be shorter. Thanks for a lovely experience I would think about long after the holiday would end.

Likte turen, men maten var en katastrofe. Å kalle serveringen en treretters middag er en sterk overdrivelse. Vi er svært misfornøyd og skuffet av hva dere leverer. Den spanske guiden som var med på bussen satt og sov i bussen og inntok alkohol, lite tillitvekkende. Den svenske guiden var flink til informere om La Gomera Mvh Turid Karin Skeie

Som dansker føler jeg mig i den grad ført bag lyset, når I reklamerer med, at der vil blive talt “skandinavisk” - altså en blanding af dansk, norsk og svensk - og så guiden konstant taler svensk. Det skete både på denne tur og vores forrige tur 3 dage før til nord-vest Tenerife. Vi talte med andre danskere på turen , som havde ligeså svært ved at forstå guiden, som os. Jeg bad hende tale langsomt og tydeligt, men det var glemt igen efter 5 min. Det er ikke ok.

Mooie tocht over het eiland, alleen jammer dat we niet bij alle uitkijkpunten konden stoppen vanwege grote druktes op de parkeerplaatsen. Verder was de inbegrepen lunch aan de weinige kant.

Väldigt duktig och personlig guide. Tråkigt att behöva vänta 45 minuter på transport till färjan. Några stopp för fotografering hade kunnat slopats. Hade varit mer värdefullt att få ytterligare tid vid naturreservatet och i SAN Sebastian.

Ok coach was 40minutes late not a good start the island tour was lovely it’s a shame the guide spent most of the talk on the island in German very little commentary in English which was disappointing the food at the restaurant was very poor didn’t enjoy it at all it was like being in a cattle market get you in feed you and out as quick as possible also the guide kept on about tips to drivers and her surely that’s our choice at the end of the tour would not recommend

Opas Katja oli loistava! Itse retkellä vähän liikaa pysähdyksiä (kuvan otto paikkoja). Äärimmäisen ärsyttävää oli se että retkeä vastatessani varmistin toiselta oppaalta retken kestosta 2 kertaan että onko paluu takaisin 16-17 johon hän vastasi kyllä! Olimme takaisin hotellilla 8:lta. En missään tapauksessa olisi lähtenyt jos olisi alun perin kerrottu että menee näin pitkään.

Goede begekeiding, goede chauffeur. Twee dingetjes: de laatste stop in San Sebastian was srg kort en haastig. Wat minder fotomomenten onderweg zou beter zijn En de bus om op te halen was erg laat, buiten jullie schuld, maar stuur dan even een smsje, kkeine moeite zodat iedereen weet waar hij aan toe is.

Leuk: boottocht, foto plekken, oerwoud, lunch Minder leuk: haast, constante tijdsdruk, veel te weinig tijd in San Sebastian, Christoffer Columbus kerk was gesloten. En toch relatief veel tijd in de bus.

Scenery and views were stunning. Coach driver did a fabulous job and we felt safe on roads. Restaurant food was mediocre. Guide was good but talked a lot and very rapidly. Overall experience was very positive and we enjoyed the trip immensely.

Wir haben wenig von viel gesehen. Für die Hauptpunkte Lorbeerwald und San Sebastian war keine Zeit. Verkaufsveranstaltung von 40 Minuten, Zeit für San Sebastian 15 Minuten, Lorbeerwald 1 x 10 Minuten durch den Wald und dann 15 Minuten an der Toilette gewartet weil zeitgleich 5 Busse (davon 2 Von Tui) gleichzeitig am Haltepunkt waren. Schade

We thoroughly enjoyed our day exploring La Gomera, we enjoyed the Ferry crossings, our lunch very much, and the scenery was outstanding - I do appreciate we were very lucky having a beautiful sunny day Seeing over to Tenerife and Teide peeking out through the clouds was just amazing Very good value for the money , even though the coach was late picking us up - no problems after that

Wir haben nichts auszusetzen, wir waren sehr froh, dass wir diesen Ausflug gebucht haben. Die einzigste Anmerkung, für die Sie natürlich nichts können: Die Strasse im Nationalpark Laguna war durch Bauarbeiten so verengt, dass der arme Busfahrer mehrmals Vor- und Zurückfahren musste, um dem Gegenverkehr Platz zu machen.

Service - Did not like English/German commentary as too much speaking constantly all day due to both languages required. Only had very short stops and the one in the Forest was rubbish as we were given half an hour and there were only 4 ladies toilets for a number of coaches so Forest not explored. Coffee shop rubbish as disorganised and rude. Kept serving people they knew. Safety - dangerous at times as had to cross dangerous road individually. Had to go in between coaches to get on/off.

Meitä oli 4 aikuista ja kaikki olivat erittäin tyytyväisiä La Gomeran retkeen. Suuri kiitos Virpi oppaalle jolla oli laaja tietämys saaresta ja oli kiva kuulla saaren elämästä. Suomen kielisen oppaan ansiosta saimme retkestä paljon irti. Vaikka kaikki olemme englannin kielen taitoisia niin koimme, että mieluummin menemme suomen kielisen oppaan retkelle. Voimme suositella tätä elämystä ja kokemusta kaikille.

Bus arrived 40 minutes late. Restaurant was atrocious with rude staff and horrible food. Journey back home was chaotic. A wasted opportunity due to the guides obsession with talking about bananas for some strange reason. Spent an hour at a coffee shop that couldn't cope with the number of people. Such a shame, was really looking forward to this excursion

Tuna meal was awful with big tough chunks of inedible tuna. We had to ask at least twice ( politely) for white wine on our table which was reluctantly eventually brought. Guide was very knowledgeable but she talked constantly very loudly all through the bus trip. She spoke unnecessarily loudly- didn’t like to ask her to speak quieter. Had a headache after hours of this. Didn’t mind that it was in 2 languages. Driver was excellent. Variety of tour and photo stops were excellent too.

Veel te klein busje waardoor ik en andere reisgenoten opgevouwen zat. En omdat er veel gereisd is die dag heel jammer. Maaltijd was heel magertjes en vooral het personeel erg onvriendelijk, snauwend. Gelukkig wel vlot geserveerd waardoor we vlot weg konden en nog een extra stop konden doen. Wezijn wellicht wat bevooroordeeld omdat we al 4 canarische eilanden hadden bezocht (incl ook. Tenerife eerder) waardoor we veel vergelijkingsmateriaal hadden en ook al veel zelfde soort trips hadden gemaakt

To be honest we picked the wrong day as I'm a poor traveller and the boat made me poorly, so I didn't feel good on the coach. The rep said take something warm for the forest but it rained was misty and the temperature was eight degrees, not a pleasant experience. We had been led to believe it would be mostly British people on the coach but we were the only ones surrounded by what sounded to be Germans. So not a good day overall and one I wouldn't ever want to do again.

Great Guide Not sure about driver who couldn't seem to find his windscreen demister controls - wiping it with a cloth (whilst stationary) - looked a little unnecessary Route down a track not very suitable also scared people a little

Der Transfer war gut organisiert, unsere Reiseleiterin Sophia war hervorragend ??wir fühlten uns mit ihr sehr wohl und gut behütet, sie hatte ein unglaublich gutes Wissen und war sehr freundlich. Auch der Chauffeur auf dieser Tour war angenehm, höflich, freundlich und ein ausgesprochen guter Chauffeur

We really enjoyed visiting La Gomera and the opportunity to visit the UNESCO National Park, Saint Sebastian and the amazing landscapes along the route. Our guide gave clear instruction and described everything clearly in English and German. She had extensive knowledge of the island history and flora. The meal was enjoyable - with gluten and dairy free options. And apart from the two hour pick-up points to the ferry, we had a great day.

The guide was German, for every 10 minutes she spoke in German there was 1 minute in English. The beef meal was shocking, 4 pices of meat and 5 slices of potato.. The main town stunk of sewage, which was not nice!!!

Det skulle vara trevligare att äta någon annanstans än på restaurangen i Las Rosas. Naturen var vacker men stället massproducerade mat för buss efter buss och var inte god. Vi skulle hellre stannat och ätit på något mindre ställe och därigenom understött någon annan by/familj. För övrigt var vi nöjda med dagen och hade turen att ha ett fantastiskt väder.

Die Dame was uns die Reise verkauft hat hätte sagen müssen das man sich etwas Warmes und feste Schuhe mitnehmen soll wir waren nur mit offene Sandale ohne Socken, kurze Hose und ein T Shirt unterwegs. Wir wussten nicht das es oben so regnerisch und kalt wird.

Fijne uitstap! We verwachtten wel meer tijd te hebben in het park en in San Sebastian. Dit was uiteindelijk ook de omschrijving van de excursie. Het programma was te gevuld! Er was geen tijd om een wandeling te doen in het park alsook vrije tijd in San Sebastian.

De reis was best duur voor wat je krijgt. Het eten was echt slecht, de tonijn was erg droog en de aardappels waren overgoten met zout , de wijn was niet lekker. De bezienswaardigheden waren minimaal, de gids was heel de busreis aan het “praten”. Er was ook te weinig tijd om nog even zelf in de hoofdstad te kunnen rondwandelen. Ik zou de volgende keer liever zelf met de auto gaan zodat ik zelf mijn tijd in kan delen en zelf de leuke bezienswaardigheden uitkiezen. De service van de reis was goed

We moesten enorm vroeg opstaan om als 1e opgepikt te worden in Los Gigantes. Daarna heel lang onderweg naar veel hotels om mensen op te pikken. In de haven van Los Cristianos lang gewa cht op het vertrek van de ferry.Idem s avonds op de terugweg, heel lang onderweg met enorm veel stops onderweg aan hotels.Lange vermoeiende dag maar wel mooie plaatsen bezocht op La Gomera

Aivan liian pitkä retki! Tuntui turhalta katsella rotkoja ja yhtä banaaniterttua. Ruokailu oli hätäistä, ruoat suorastaan heitettiin pöytään. San Sebastianissa ei ehditty tehdä mitään. Kuvittelin voivani ostaa sieltä joululahjoja. En voi suositella tätä retkeä.

The guide was talking in German for ages so the English people switched off. She then spoke in broken English. some of her English didn’t make sense. She was not very friendly, had no personality.. On first getting on bus she didn’t smile and wasn’t very nice.. Pink panther guide would not recommend . My advice is to have an English tour and a separate German tour.l. With a 7.30 am pick up our lunch time of 2pm was far too late . It was 2.20before our first course arrived.

Veldig flink guide (Ingrid) For mye busskjøring Altfor, altfor lite tid til vandring i nasjonalparken For lang tid fra hotell avgang til avgang båt (ca 2½ time), men kun 20 min å kjøre til havna I ida til egen disposisjon i San Sebastian var alle butikker stengt pga siesta- det var litt dårlig planlegging

Hyvin järjestetty retki, kaikki aikataulut piti ja ruokailukin meni sujuvasti, vaikka oli monta bussillista väkeä samaan aikaan paikalla. Upeat maisemat ja kiva, asiantunteva opas Maiju, kiitos ?? Ihana ilma koko reissulla, merimatkastakin pääsi nauttimaan kannella.
