‘We're going to make you an offer you can't refuse'. Het is tenslotte het gebied van de maffia. Hollywood streek in dit gedeelte van de wereld neer om scenes van de trilogie van The Godfather op te nemen. Dus je krijgt op deze uitstap twee Siciliaanse bergdorpen te zien die hebben geschitterd op het filmscherm. En zo beleef je weer helemaal enkele beroemde scenes uit de films.Vandaag de dag zijn deze Siciliaanse dorpen nagenoeg verlaten, dus het lijkt alsof je in een spookstad loopt. Eerst bezoek je het kleine Sayoca waar je de kerk aantreft waarin Michael Corleone trouwde, gespeeld door Al Pacino. Je loopt in zijn voetsporen terwijl je door de kronkelige steegjes slentert en even op zijn stoel zit in Bar Vitelli.Na een schitterende rit op het platteland kom je snel aan in het middeleeuwse Forza d'Agro, een klein bergdorp. Daar zie je de Chiesa della Santissima Annunziata, ook bekend van The Godfather. En zelfs als je niet van die films houdt, zijn er altijd nog de spectaculaire uitzichten vanaf deze bergdorpen.

Loved loved loved the tour and fabulous Fabio made it extra special. He was so knowledgeable and told us about the history of Scicily as well as showing us locations from the godfather. He was funny and engaging. Highly recommend this tour and really good value for money.

One of the best tours we have ever been on! Our guide Fabio was fantastic! Full of knowledge, impressively moving seamlessly from English to German, incredibly welcoming and with a great sense of humour. He made sure the tour was well organised and ran very smoothly. A very safe and comfortable journey on the coach. Lots of information about the godfather films and visits to the sites where filming took place, but also a great focus on the villages and their history. Highly recommend!

This was a longer tour (about 7 hours from pick up to drop off) than advertised but absolutely worth it. Fabio was a brilliant guide, knowledgeable, entertaining and enthusiastic. The coach was comfortable and air conditioned but it is a lot of walking in the heat (I went in September) and some steep climbs and steps so be prepared. Worth watching the 1st 2 films again before you go (at least the Sicily scenes)

Nice to see more of Sicily. The guide was well informed and knew film and location well. Didn’t like the fact that you had multiple nationalities on board, requiring guide to speak in multiple languages. This slowed the tours narrative that became a bit tedious.

We enjoyed the hole experience of the locations the places you thought you. Were in the film from the bar viteli to the church were Michael and apalena got married. Also the history of the places we also visited as we were surprised at the other places we visited

An excellent day spent exploring a couple of lovely villages where parts of the Godfather trilogy were filmed. Our guide, Fabio was excellent and knowledgeable. Not only on the films but also on Sicily. This tour was about so much more than the Godfather but also an insight in to Sicilian history.

From being picked up outside our hotel and dropped off at the end, the tour was interesting, comfortable and thoughtfully put together. Fabio our guide was knowledgeable, sharing lots of fascinating viewpoints, not just about the Godfather but also about the cultural life of Sicily. There was time in both villages to explore. We were even able to enjoy a drink in Bar Vitelli. On a hot day there was limited shade to shelter, which for some people was tricky but manageable. Food stop was very good

The trip was wonderful. The guide was very knowledgeable and told us everything about the sites of the Godfather filming and facts about Sicily. Would suggest it needed a little bit more time at each village as felt a little rushed. Tour pick up was 20 minutes late

The tour was great. Fabio our tour guide was very informative, he did not just tell us about the Godfather the movie, he also gave us the history of the villages and the history of the Mafia. Lunch is not included but we stopped off in one of the villages which had a lovely restaurant with great food and service. I must also say the coach driver was very good coping with those very windy roads. All In all a very good tour worth the money.

Highly recommend this tour with Fabio He made the tour very interesting by including a commentary on Sicilian history too. The locations were stunning. As Fabio said.. Sicily is not just about the Mafia as Francis Ford Coppola made The Godfather as a movie, not a documentary. We loved it! Thank you!

Fabio our tour guide was....Fabio! This is so much more than a tour that takes in filming locations of the first two Godfather films...this is a trip that delves into the history, culture and lifestyle of Sicily. 100% worth going. Wear comfy shoes.

We fully enjoyed the whole experience. My wife loves the Godfather movies so fully enjoyed seeing the setting in Savoca still exactly how it was But the tour was so much more than the movie .Fabio our guide was amazing explaining about the history of the area and the villages and about all aspects of Sicily

This wasn’t just a Godfather tour. As well as visiting the villages where scenes from the films were shot, Fabio our guide gave us lots of information about the history of Sicily. Our half day tour lasted for six hours including free time to explore on our own.

Fabio was our guide, very knowledgable. He told us about the area as well as the history, buildings and the politics of the area. Enjoyable day. The driver was also excellent, we felt safe on the narrow mountain roads. The only problem we had was finding somewhere to have lunch as it was very busy with cruise boat guests.

I read the reviews before the trip so was glad we got the legendary Fabio as our guide. He was indeed a passionate guide and very knowledgeable. Much to see in Savoca and enough time to see it all. The bar Vitelli and the church obviously the highlights. Lots of actual historical value as well as film info. Definitely a memorable day, love from a Prestonian and a Geordie x

The tour lasted six hours, not only did it include a tour of some of the scenes of the Godfather movies, the guide also covered lots of other history. The tour included a visit to a number of historical old towns and we were also provided with plenty of free time to explore. What really made the trip was the guide, he was excellent. He had a vast amount of knowledge about the area and was clearly passionate about his home country. The guide was called Fabio - he was brilliant!

Our guide, Fabio included local history facts which I thoroughly enjoyed. Also, he offered options to self explore. We particularly wanted to see the cappuccines which our guide helped us with. My only disappointment was not hearing the Godfather theme tune as we entered the coach. But I would highly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Taormina.

Not enough time to actually go and visit the places you been driving for an hour plus to visit seems stupid. Why not make more time at each stop, so when first go and see stuff, there’s time to eat and hang out for a while?

Enjoyed the scenery very much, the guide was very informative and the coach driver very careful! Couldn't really fault the trip. I am a Godfather fan and was delighted to see where it was filmed. The guide also filled us in on Sicilian history so it was a very informative tour.

No TUI rep on site had to use the app. Put into an annex, very steep access and room frequency smelled of bad drains. Pool had no shallow end and started at 2.4metres so didn't use the pool. Food good and staff very helpful and friendly.

First village, Savoca, very interesting, good guided walk around the village to the church and useful time to ourselves at the end. Second village, Forza D'Agro, not so interesting and appeared to be included as an add on. However we did appreciate the fabulous views form there.

Our tour guide was excellent and gave lots of information and always helpful. The driver drove safely up all the winding roads and was very good. It was a great day out and beautiful scenery and would highly recommend the tour even if you don't know the film.

We were greeted warmly by our guide as we boarded our coach for the trip. Our guide was knowledgeable & we enjoyed our time in the village of Savoca which was beautiful. The second village we visited was ok but we were not there very long. Overall it was a good trip.

Coach was comfortable and driver was good. Guide was disappointing. She was pleasant but didn’t seem to be knowledgeable at all on The Godfather movie which was the whole point of the trip. She was quite boring but this may have been due to language barrier.
