De vulkaaneilanden van de caldera zijn een must-see als je op Santorini bent. Op deze dag stap je aan boord van een houten zeilboot en vaar je naar Nea Kameni, Palea Kameni en Thirassia - de drie vulkaaneilanden die uit het water steken. En je volgt de rand van de caldera. Eerst zet je voet aan wal op Nea Kameni. Je wandelt naar de krater, over gestolde lavavelden en ziet de dampen om je heen opstijgen. Ook kijk je je ogen uit op de woeste, maanachtige landschappen en Santorini in de verte. Dan zijn de thermale bronnen van Palea Kameni aan de beurt. Hier dobber je rond in het mineraalrijke water, dat temperaturen van 35 graden Celsius kan bereiken.Op Thirassia te verkennen loop je rond de actieve krater, of brengt wat tijd door in Manolas - je staat versteld van het uitzicht. Om dan met de boot verder langs de kust naar de haven van Athinios te varen.

Enjoyed the whole day. The hot springs were not very hot but read reviews beforehand so was prepared. Loved visiting Thirasia & having lunch at the top with stunning views overlooking Santorini.

We were quickly directed to our boat and the journey to the volcano then exploring was very enjoyable. Waiting whilst a small number of the group swam was fine although 2 hours on Thirassia was bizarre given there was nothing to see or do there other than get a meal. Our rep did not have the best command of English and was no where to be found when we were trying to find the coach back to Perissa. The other rep refused to answer informing us that she was sorting out her group first.

The trip was excellent as were the guides the only issue was when arriving back there was no bus to take us home and nobody could really explain what was happening. Eventually the buses turned up,

De boottocht en de tussenstops in de caldera, vulkaan, en Thirassia eiland waren super leuk. Een belangrijk verbeterpunt is de bustransfer. De organisatie was ronduit chaotisch. Buschauffeur en begeleider hadden een voucher nodig die we niet hadden omdat we online gereserveerd hadden. Ook bij de terugkeer konden we pas na herhaaldelijk navragen bij de reisleiding de bus naar het hotel terugvinden. Enkele bordjes met bestemming of de hotels zouden alles veel vlotter doen verlopen.

Absolutely amazing from start to finish! Smooth pick-up, easy boarding, and not overcrowded at all. The hike was a great experience, with card or cash accepted for entry. Hot springs were beautiful, and we had lovely free time on Thirasía with great spots to swim or eat. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Despite other reviews, I had no issues at all, everything was well organised and great value for money.

De activiteit voldeed exact aan onze verwachtingen. De boottocht is op zichzelf de moeite waard. De wandeling over de vulkaan vonden wij zeer indrukwekkend en interessant. De stop aan de thermale bronnen was een fijne zwemstop, mocht ook ergens anders zijn. De landschappen en uitzichten waren prachtig. Ondanks de grote groepen was het goed georganiseerd en was de gids zeer toegankelijk.

Shambles from over booking. The tour guide although very pleasant had a strong accent and instructions over the sound system were difficult to understand - may be a chalk board with numbers written down for return times would save repeatedly having to ask for clarification. When we got back to the harbour discussions and arguments for over 20 minutes as to which coach to go on. We were told to go on ne, then taken off that and await our coach that had not arrived, when that arrived he said

This trip was really good value for money, the description of the trip on the TUI app did not include everything that would be included on the trip and at the start of the trip it wasn't really clear what was happening. But really enjoyed it and well worth the money.

Our guide was excellent once we were on the boat and actually on the trip. The info provided by Tui was poor and it would have been nice to have been given more info regarding our pick up, i,e, what vehicle to look for, car registration, company being used, driver name, etc.

De hele dag was echt geweldig >> dat begon al met de ophaal service met een mooie bus >> precies op tijd. Bij het mooie schip aangekomen goede en duidelijke en veilige inscheping. En wat een goede Tour guide hadden wij aan boord van de Albatros >> de man vertelde goed en enthousiast en ging ook met ons mee op Old Burnt eiland >> echt goed. En de service aan boord van het schip was ook super >> evenals de lunch bij Captain John op New Burnt Eiland. En op de terugreis gezellige sfeer met muziek !

Our experience was fantastic, our guide Yanis was very friendly and told us all about the history of Santorini. We had plenty of time at each of the stops to take in the views and do some activities. Only thing was we had to wait a while once we got back for our bus, but they were very apologetic and sorted it quickly.

As other reviews have said, the organisation was poor. Dropped at the busy port only to wait standing for an hour in diesel fumes. You must get a PAPER Ticket from the rep or you cannot board as the TUI email is no use. Volcanic island was interesting if you like rocks. The thermal springs were cold, stinky with hidden rocks under the muddy water that are dangerous. Nobody told us the unspoilt island is CLOSED in May as it’s out of season so there was NO LUNCH!! No rush to recommend this trip.

Thermal springs are more of a lukewarm, but still fun. The hike to the crater is quite demanding just as a warning, but plenty of stopping points if you aren't feeling 100% up to it

The guide was really friendly and gave lots of information about the islands. The captain and crew were also very attentive about customer well-being. Improvements would be to summarise the tour and clothing attire in the booking confirmation. Also, to repair the toilets and consider seating upstairs so some customers do t have to face to bar. The slushies were delicious and restaurant recommendations good. Improve access to Thirasia as stairs too steep or give more time on this island.

Pick up from hotel was on time. Bus journey to port took one hour. Organisation at port was chaotic, we were left waiting in bright sunshine with no shade for an hour before embarking the boat. Trip was good, although time visiting the volcano was a little short. On return, tour guides disappeared immediately and we were left to work out what to do. Our coach was not available, although luckily a local organised a mini bus to return us to the hotel. A good trip was marred by poor organisation

Me and my wife loved this trip. It was very physical in the heat but well worth the challenge for the views provided at the end (the top of the volcano). My only comment would be that when visiting the hot springs after, the water is very dirty and it left marks on our swim suits. Other than that, we loved the tip and the boat ride back provided a different view of Fia and Oia.

We hadden de excursie geboekt en op het vulkanische eiland moesten we nog €5 p.p entree betalen, dat was ons niet verteld. Je kan ook in mineraalwater zwemmen, wel donkere zwemkleding meenemen in verband met lichte kleding dat dan oranje kleurt. Ze zeggen na 2 keer in de wasmachine is het eruit. Ik gok het er niet op.

coach pick up was timely and good! boarding the boat was badly organised, incredibly busy and stressful. finding a seat was hard - lots of pushing and shoving. there was no TUI rep there. stop to swim in the sea was dangerous, 100s of people waiting to get back on board getting pushed around and sucked in by the current. had to pay extra to go on the volcanic island (the whole reason for the tour) final stop at fishing village was lovely though and the crew were friendly.

There needs to be more information and communication. Examples. When we got off the coach at the port there was no one to tell us where we needed to go or what boat we were going on. Instead we queued up with lots of other confused tourists hoping someone would show us where we needed to go. Similarly the same thing happened when we got off the boat back at the port trying to find the coach. They are supposed to be numbered but our coach had no number card and the driver spoke no english

Angebot war sehr vielfältig. Schöne Bootstour mit Blick auf die bekannten Orte. Negativ war die Organisation der Rückfahrt. Eine 3/4 Stunde warten in Gluthitze ohne Schatten bis uns der Bus am Hafen abgeholt hat.

Hele leuke tour. We werden rond 9 uur opgehaald door een bus en we stapten rond 9:45 de boot op. We vaarden eerst naar Nea Kameni, waar we de vulkaan beklommen. Prachtig om te zien. Neem wel dichte schoenen mee want er liggen veel losliggende stenen en het is best een klim. Daarna gezwommen in de hotsprings. Tip hiervoor: geen lichtkleurige zwemkleding mee, deze kan verkleuren! Daarna bij Thirassia nog lekker gechillt. Enorm genoten! Rond 16:00 waren we weer terug op de haven.

Boat trip was well organised and great fun. The guide was clear about the arrangements and the crew ensured we were safe embarking and disembarking the boat. The only negative was that the boat felt very crowded and it wasn't easy to move around or get changed. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Ein schöner Ausflug zu den Vulkanen. Jedoch sieht man keinen richtigen Vulkan, sondern läuft über einen steilen, unebenen Pfad hinauf und hat einen Rundumblick. Das Baden in den Hot Springs haben wir nicht mitgemacht, weil wir nur 30 min Zeit hatten. Und die letzte Inseln haben wir für über 2 Stunden besucht, was für uns zu lange war. Ansich aber eine tolle Bootstour mit tollen Blicken über die Caldera von Santorini.

Overvolle boten. Tijdschema te krap bij ons doordat er na 45 minuten wachten er nog 2 !!!!! mensen bij kwamen. Dus bijna rennen vulkaan op en weer terug want we moesten wel op tijd terug zijn voor de volgende lading. Ik vind het TUI onwaardig. Hebben zelfs getwijfeld of we wel op de boot zouden stappen. Je betaalt wel en om dit terug te krijgen. Maar bel me gerust

Transfer hat sehr gut geklappt. Zeitangaben wurden eingehalten. Zu viele Personen. Zu wenig Zeit, um in den heißen Quellen baden zu gehen. Zu viel Zeit auf Therassia. Der erste Stopp am Vulkan sowie die Bootsfahrt zurück entlang des Kraterrands war super.

We loved this experience BUT what they don't tell you is, if you have heart conditions or asthma you can't do the swimming or walk up to the volcano. The trip to the village was brilliant though, we really enjoyed the sightseeing and the village we stopped at. Definitely recommend it.

Heel mooie cruise door de krater in Santorini. De gids gaf telkens omstandige uitleg in het Frans en het Engels wanneer het nodig was. Kortom, ze deed haar best. Ze was voor ieder bereikbaar.

We enjoyed the volcano, very interesting. The guide was very knowledgeable. We didn't realise that you could have a float aid to use when swimming to the hot springs. I would have had one if I'd known as this would have enabled me to swim all the way to the hot springs. Unfortunately, as there was quite a distance to swim I couldn't swim to them.

Bustransfer kam zu spät und hat zu lange gedauert. Boot war zu voll. Erklärungen auch in deutscher Sprache, obwohl in der Beschreibung nur Französisch und Englisch angekündigt war.

Fantastic value for money. Boat left the harbour around 10am and didn’t return until around 5pm. Guide Vaso was excellent, very engaging and knowledgeable. Just enough time at each stop and really enjoyable trip for a family of 3 Only downside was the pick up was messy and the return coach dropped us in Fira with no sign of the promised smaller bus transfer to Firastefani. Not unexpected but still not great to have to walk after a long day in the sun.

Positives - boats clean, timings perfect at each stage, guides knowledgeable, island stop for lunch - prices were similar to the main land so didn't profit from having a monopoly, take away gyro best had on my holidays! Areas for improvement- no organisation of people to get on the boat at the start. Chaotic. Need rope corridors like at the airport or something similar.

Enjoyed the volcano and swimming, not enough time in Tharissa, takes to long to walk to the village at the top of the hill. Total chaos on return to port, nobody knew where buses were and police were moving us away due to number of ferries arriving. Guide was very helpful but was not getting information. Also bus had an accident on the way back which delayed our return, not the drivers fault.

Hele leuke gids, vloeiend in Spaans, Engels en Duits, wat heel fijn was, veel kennis van zaken, attend en vrolijk, Het enige minpuntje van de reis was de buschaufeur op de terugweg, die was onaardig, maakte ruzie met mensen (niet met ons) en liet ons zomaar ergens achter in Kamari zonder dat we wisten waar we waren

This holiday was recommended to us by a friend, the hotel is lovely, very pretty gardens and well maintained. A nice pool, although we didn’t use it much (the beach is nearby) we never had a problem finding a vacant sun bed. The breakfast was great, a huge range of food. The staff were very pleasant.

. Mooie boottocht. Gids vertelde veel meertalig. Vulkaaneiland fysiek uitstapje. Warm waterbron ervaring. Rommelige organisatie door veelheid bussen/ mensen.

Booking was a bit confusing as I thought it already knew our location but it had defaulted to another resort pick up. Kelly our rep saved the day and soon got it sorted and confirmed we were to be picked up at our hotel. Guide on boat Anna was very good. Very informative without going over the top. Just enough time at each place so timings OK at locations. Safety was priority. Only downside I thought boat was overcrowded and it was hot and not lots of shade. Drinks reasonably priced.

What a fantastic trip we had. Collected on time and taken to the port directed by our guide Anna to our boat and languages were English and French fantastic translator. Anna looked after us all day with the full use of her knowledge we learnt so much. To actually see a smoking volcano was unbelievable! One disappointment was when we stopped for a swim and lunch. It is not a beach and very stony to get into the water but my husband did manage to paddle. Anna made sure we were on our bus back

Reasonably priced - no food or drink included but drinks and snacks onboard weren’t expensive and lunch of own choice was available in the restaurants on Thirasia. Tour guide was good and very knowledgeable. The boat sailed along the edge of the crater from Oia to Athinios on the way back so could get a closer look at the island. Good trip well worth the money. It was called a half day tour but we left at 8.30 and didn’t get back till 5pm.

Spiros was a fantastic guide, genuinely passionate about the island and its story. Everything was as expected, only pointed would be to notify the passengers of when trainers are needed over flip flops. 20 and 30 somethings can climb the volcano in flip flops and some do…. But trainers are ideal for that part.

Besonders schön war, daß das Boot nach dem Besuch der letzten Vulkaninsel noch von Ia über Fira bis retour zum Hafen gefahren ist und wir bei der Rückfahrt so auch auch die schönen Orte alle auch vom Meer aus sehen konnten.

The port was like a cattle market. The seatbelt on the bud didn’t work. Lots of pick ups on way. The place where we stopped for 2 hours was very grotty. Other than sitting in a restaurant there was nothing else to do. The beach wasn’t a beach just dirty rocks

Vulkaan bezoeken was de moeite waard. Zwemmen was niet zonder risico’s. Lunch stop op eiland was te lang. Had deze tijd liever op de vulkaan doorgebracht. Gids wist veel maar sprak zeer gebrekkig Engels. Was de moeite waard, maar voelde ook als een commerciële excursie.

The trek up the mountain was quite hard but the views are amazing, the volcanic springs was enjoyable jumping off the ship and experiencing the difference in temperature and finally the last stop at the little fishing village was rather quaint
