Met de compacte stranden en dramatisch uitziende zoutpannen heb je op Sal het perfecte paardrij-decor te pakken. Vanuit je zadel ziet het landschap er prachtig uit. En je goedverzorgde relaxte paard trouwens ook. Je kunt paardrijden zo lang je wilt - we hebben verschillende tours waar je uit kunt kiezen voor zowel beginners als gevorderden. Je gaat naar een van Sals beste maneges, waar je betrouwbare ros al op je wacht. Helm op en klikken maar. Je ziet de zoutpannen of gaat richting het weidse strand. Frisse lucht, een relaxed tempo en een goedgetraind paard. Zouden we bijna het nog onbedorven landschap vergeten!De paardrijtochten over Sal zijn leuk voor families en groepen van alle niveaus. Horses in good condition. Where we went was good. Hubby could have been lead as inexperienced and felt a bit uncomfortable. I was fine experienced rider, got 2 gallops on the beach. Experience was good over all. Would recommend going

I went on a ride with my 9 year old daughter. It was our first time horse riding. We both loved it. Our guide was great. We loved the fact that the horses were rescued horses and they had strict rules on how many times they can go out etc. My only suggestion is to wear trousers instead of short

I am a confident rider and was matched with an advanced horse. Large grey mare. We had 3 great gallops along the beach. It was all walking to the beach due to the conditions under foot, which was enjoyable, but was the majority of the riding. The galloping along the beach made it worthwhile though. The photos that the guides took were really good and I did buy mine. Take cash as no card machine. Horses seemed well cared for which is always a big concern to me when riding abroad.

Nachdem wir freundlich empfangen wurden, wurden wir nach unseren bisherigen Reiterfahrungen gefragt. Die Pferde wurden perfekt auf unsere Erfahrungen ausgesucht (Mayo und Luna). Da wir beide Anfänger sind wurden wir die ganze Zeit von einem Guide geführt. Es ging erst durch die Salinen von Santa Maria und anschließend an den Kite Beach. Wir wurden teilweise von einem Fotografen begleitet. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und die Pferde machten einen guten und gesunden Eindruck.

My only critiscm is that TUI charge €80 for this but the riding school only get €20. This seems very wrong and feels like exploitation by TUI. The instructors are only paid €1 per hour for working, if TUI reduced their cut then locals could be paid better wages for the work they provide for tourists and help to build the economy in Cape Verde rather than TUI profitting hugely.

I am a beginner at Horse riding and I am not that confident if I am truthful, but Ziggy my guide, was so patient and reassuring that within minutes of mounting the beautiful Maio, I relaxed and enjoyed every minute of my ride. The route went past some incredible sites and along the beautiful Kite Beach. This was an amazing experience and I loved it. They also have someone ride out and take photos of you from a scenic viewpoint, that you can purchase when you get back to the centre.

Totally amazing and we were well looked after by professionla instructors from start to finish. The horses looked well cared for too. My partner was a little anxious to start with but felt very confident with the instructors. I trotted on the beach with one of the instructors which was amazing and a dream come true for me. There was only 4 people in our group with 3 instructors. The other 2 riders in our group went off with one of the instructors and galloped along the beach. Very recommendable

Super leuke excursie, je wandelt door de botanische tuin waar de paarden verblijven heel leuk om dan nog wat papegaaien te spotten! Onze begeleider Ziggy was erg enthousiast en heeft ons goed begeleid, de paarden waren goed verzorgd en uiteindelijk werden er ook nog eens leuke foto’s van ons gemaakt. Zeker een aanrader.

We had to stand and wait at entrance for 15 mins no where to sit when walked told not allowed over there. When given horses said previously ridden so got slowest horse just 2 of us and two staff who talked amongst themselves whole time and rope attached to them follow my leader not like previous riding in turkey

Nothing to do with the stables or horses. Totally let down by TUI Rep. They never explained to us that there were weight restrictions, had we known this we wouldn’t have booked. Unfortunately my husband had to be brought back in a taxi 5 minutes after getting there. The horses were well kept and cared for so no bad comments about that.

Es war ein tolles Erlebnis. Mein Freund hat noch nie auf einem Pferd gesessen, hat auch ein super liebes Anfängerpferd (Mayo) bekommen. Da ich Reiterfahrung habe, habe ich ein etsas schwierigeres Pferd (King) bekommen. Die Guides haben super auf einen aufgepasst. Sie waren sehr auf die Sicherheit bedacht. Es kam auch ein Fotograf mit und hat viele Fotos gemacht. Am Kitebeach sind wir dann auch mal kurz Galopp geritten wenn man wollte. Es war ein sehr schönes Erlebnis.

Es hat alles wunderbar geklappt. Die Abholung am Hotel, Pferde waren gesattelt und nach kurzer Einweisung ging es los. Meine Tochter hatte sie 2 Stunden-Tour und träumt seitdem nur noch vom Galopp am Strand. Durch den Fotografen sind sehr schöne Bilder entstanden die das ganze abrundeten.

A really lovely experience overall. As complete novice riders both myself and my daughter had a good time. It was evening and we took the 2 hour ride through the salt mines to Kite beach. Horses were calm and well cared for & we each had a guide. Refreshments (water) would have been a good addition. Language barrier made small talk difficult but if you want to see a lovely sunset and a sweeping beach while enjoying the horses I’d recommended.

This was a bit of a mixed experience. The manager, Ziggy, was nice and the scenery through the salt lakes and beach were amazing. This was slightly marred by another guide whose name begins with M who was loudly talking on his mobile phone for much of the ride. We would have appreciated a little commentary on our surroundings or even just some peace! He became annoyed with his horse at one point and struck it across the face which made us very uncomfortable. Egocentric and rude

Toller Ausritt am Strand, der durch die vielen ruhigen und freundlichen Guides perfekt begleitet wurde. Etwas befremdlich ist, dass direkt aus dem Schritt in den Galopp gewechselt wird. Man reitet quasi im Schritt an den Strand, galoppiert dort drei kürzere Strecken mit kurzer Fotopause und reitet dann wieder im Schritt zurück. Die Pferde wirkten gesund und zufrieden.

Not been on a horse for a long time so a bit apprehensive but that soon changed to happy we done it. The guides were great always keeping an eye on the team even let the girls have a gallop along the beach. 90 mins was enough for me and the early start before the sun got too hot was just right.

Wonderful experience with my family. We were 2 adults and 2 children aged 6 and 9. As beginners we felt incredibly safe with the guides who were all very lovely and made us feel at ease. There is also a professional photographer that comes along and the pics he takes are fabulous. There is no pressure to purchase but we of course did. The horses were clearly well looked after and loved. Only thing I would recommend is for them to offer drinks post the ride as we were all super thirsty

Still furious about this booked this experience a month prior to holiday and on day of experience cancelled due to operational reasons. No other dates available poor service by TUI has spoilt our holiday the main reason why we came back to Cape Verde was for the horse riding no genuine apology or explanation very disappointed

I enjoyed the experience as a beginner. Was nervous but the staff put me at ease immediately. My son enjoyed it so much he said he would do it again. The horse ride was smooth, the scenery amazing and was given information on the salt lake.

The guide was very professional and had a great attitude to safety of the riders and other riders in the group, I had a one to one guide so I never felt unsafe at any time, it was thoroughly enjoyable experience, one hour is enough for a novice like myself. I am 61 years old and from the UK . 10/10 ????

The horse my wife rode bucked her off at full gallop - she is an experienced horse rider of over twenty years, the guide commented after the event that the horse was “naughty’ & had done that before!” Wife was fine & finished the ride no problem, but that horse should not be used for paying guests. 3hrs from start to finish & no drink/water was offered to the guests. Perhaps warn guests to take their own. Also pre warn guests that photographs are available for €25

Due to my daughter being 11 and reading the Tui booking information, she could only do the one hour beginners ride. I was led to believe from pictures that this would be on the beach from the pictures on the Tui site. However, when we arrived the staff said that my daughter could go on the more advanced rides and the age restriction was not there’s. My daughter and I were disappointed as the ride was around salt mines (still lovely) but not what we had planned. Guides were great though !

This riding experience was just perfect. The chap in charge was very thorough, he was very careful to check our previous experience and we were looked after accordingly. The horses were beautiful and in very good condition, clearly well looked after. The guys who came on the ride with us were friendly and quite happy to chat to us.

Die Pferde sind zu viel dünn und bekommen zu wenig Heu! Aufgrund dieses Umstandes kann ich die Tour nicht weiter empfehlen. Die Tour an sich war sehr schön und es wurde auf die Bedürfnisse der einzelnen Teilnehmer eingegangen.

The horse riding was very good with good staff and lovely horse. My only criticism was that the experience was expensive and the photo's over priced as well. The guides could give you more information about the horses and the island. But a every enjoyable experience overall.

First time on a horse for both of us. It was a good way to start. Don’t think it’s something we will do again but it ticked a box.

es hat schon angefangen bei dem abholen, super pünktlich und zuverlässig. bei dem reiten wurde alles sehr deutlich erklärt und man hat es super verstanden. die Pferde waren alle sehr lieb und haben gut mitgemacht. das ausreiten war wirklich gut organisiert, es sind drei Männer mitgeritten und haben das alles sehr schön geleitet, waren immer aufmerksam und rücksichtsvoll. insgesamt das reiten war wirklich sehr schön und hat sehr spaß gemacht. fantastische rit te paard. De transfer hotel-manège was niet in orde. De transfer terug was een lokale taxi, die ons opnieuw geld vroeg (transfer was nochtans inbegrepen in de prijs). En als begeleider voor een minderjarige ruiter is het zeer onveilig, aangezien er geen accomodatie is thv manege (afgelegen plek) om de wachttijd vd 2uur durende paardrijrit te overbruggen. Als wachtende mama, in Afrika, ondertss werd het daar donker, werd benaderd door Afrikaanse mannen: zeer beangstigend

Great experience. I can ride but was really nervous and the guides were brilliant. Horses are nothing like our spooky horses in the uk so once I got used to riding a smaller, narrower horse I felt very safe. So lovely to be able to ride on the beach

All the team were very friendly and knowledgeable. Safety was paramount and I felt they were all competent riders. Matteus looked after me and took me for a trot along the beach. I would recommend you tell people to bring some money for photographs. They were excellent but I didn’t bring any money with me to buy them. I also think they may sell more if they were cheaper.

The staff were super lovely and chatty which helped take the nerves off the activity. Explained the safety aspect but not in a scary way. They told us the horses personalities and information about where we would be heading and loved the experience!

Selbst für mich als ungeübte Reiterin war es ein wunderschönes Erlebnis. Ein Traum, am Strand entlang zu reiten, hat sich erfüllt. Die Jungs, die uns begleitet haben, haben sehr auf die Sicherheit von Reiter und Pferd geachtet. Alles sehr professionell. Die Pferde sind sehr gepflegt. Jeder, der gerne reitet, sollte dieses Angebot annehmen und den Ausritt genießen. Top!!!

Gepflegte Pferde, gutes Personal. Leider wurden wir vor der Buchung nicht auf das Gewichtslimit aufmerksam gemacht, so dass ein Teilnehmer nicht reiten konnte. Der Kostenbeitrag wurde bislang auch nicht rückerstattet

We enjoyed the experience. It was sad to see dead baby turtles in the sand, as well as some rubbish. Overall a relaxing horse ride. It was a bit disappointing at the end they wanted 15 euros for a digital photo, or 30 euros for the whole lot, when the trip was already expensive and the photos weren't to our liking anyway. If you want them they email them to you, but as we didn't have mobile data we couldn't be confident we would receive them!
